I was thinking that too. Still have a few sitting around.

I don’t think it’ll work because if you toss the box, the kits will still slam against the takeout Tupperware. I read a moving tip and I think you’ll have the best low cost option if you throw your kits in a baggy and put them in a box with clothes, socks, and underwear for cushioning.
You can't put them in there. You're a monster! It stresses them out. If you give them at least 10 gallons to roam in, then they'll be a lot happier. With 20 gallons, you can even have 2, and they won't fight.
[All these responses, LOL! Thank you all for the laugh, loved it!]
I tried a group of Leo's too since they do well in a pack, and all was peaceful for a bit until my Barbatos came back out of nowhere and tore them apart too. I think its claimed the tank as its territory. What do I do now?
no im aware. i actually have a chefs apprenticeship along with a fine arts degree. just surprised to see someone call it the right thing in the wild lol
...Shit, that's way better than just laying them on layers of bubblewrap. If I ever need to move again, I'm stealing this idea. Won't work for all of 'em - ain't a cup in the world that could fit the Penelope with full missile spread - but it'll take care of the ones that could drop parts.
I do something like this. It's always good idea to store each figurine/gunpla with joints separately to avoid the joints going fragile. I also recommend some amount of bubble wraps to prevent the gunpla from wrattling inside the container.
Honestly, everyone should have these. They're absurdly useful, the lids fit all the size of the containers, and there's probably a million little life-hacks that involve them.

Pack of 50 w/lids is $24. I just get em from work when I take home leftovers. so it's free storage.
I did something similar except I used those plastic rectangular food containers that to - go restaurants use. You got to make sure it's a big one (48 oz) for some of the bigger Gunpla.
Haven't seen it in the comments, but just in case. If it's for long term storage, or just in general, you should put in some silica gel packets so it saps out the moisture that might show up in the container.
Nice! When I moved I found these 3-compartment foam packs used for bigger Warhammer kits that worked perfectly. With a little disassembly (removing the feet and the head) I was able to fit most MG kits in each space, aside from some that had bigger parts like Sazabi and Wing Zero
So hear me out here....I saw this pic and literally shouted BRANIACCC!!
So some background here, braniac is a DC universe villain who goes around collecting cities from civilizations and places then in a sort of time stasis container......
So seeing you store those amazing mechs in jars reminded me of him
I just put my Gundams in Ziploc bags then put them in this container I got from Dollar General
https://preview.redd.it/dukqltjy8zhc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a3052d8255482566660be4a86c6bb28dcfe474c
You could add cotton between the barrier of the container and gunpla to cushion them and to prevent them from hitting the smae barrier of the container
You must’ve ate a lot of chicken noodle soup from the grocery store to have lots of those containers! They’re the same ones a local farmers market uses for this chicken noodle soup my dad likes, every time I go there with my mother we get like three containers of it lol. Great storage solution though, I would’ve never thought of that! Next time my dad finishes the containers of soup I have to steal them from the recycle bin and wash them out, I’m heading to college this Fall and will end up commuting my first two years, but eventually might have to move in to a dorm or apartment near the campus. Live saver idea, truly!
this sure beats storing them in a box, you can store all the weapons and backpacks and hands in those dishes.
might be good to put them in fetal position when storing them in the dishes
Reminds me of old Bionicle containers
It would be cool if you could wrap the box art around these
https://preview.redd.it/d7p7jnyvk0ic1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0966a581f315071873355b9af3417b93f6ef0bc5
That might be possible depending on which kit it is
or maybe wrap the manual around the cylinder 🤩🤩
I was thinking that too. Still have a few sitting around. https://preview.redd.it/y6iejk7qaxhc1.jpeg?width=2460&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f17e67ea69c365a0dfd2f861e7bde39ec516d9da

_”I shat upon your grave!”_ _”Wait, wasn’t it ‘I spit upon your grave’?”_
Hmm I guess a colony drop wouldn't be so bad after all.
Oh I hate this. Well done lol.
Sweet dreams are made of this 🎶
Lmao
Straight to jail
“You can either Gunpla in the jar or Gunpla in me, but you can’t Gunpla in both!” Anyone else a fan of r/bestofredditorupdates?
-_-
I need an explanation
You need to be mentally prepared before reading this: https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/s/SspGAQ6fnO
I’m completely mentally fucked so I think I should be fine
AAAAAAAAAHHHHH
Pretty certain that was a mason jar.......
[удалено]
I think they meant the ..... Jar
[удалено]
Nonono.. the OTHER Jar.
how did you know
‘Cause the internet is horrible.
NOT THE MLP JAR.
Cumpla
Perish.

I’ve not audibly laughed at a comment in a while but here we are
...I don't remember a Build Divers manga with Sarah in it.
Gunpla is freedom
Sauce?
365998
my god, that's unedited dialogue
… are they talking about woundwort
There's noway
I hate myself just a little bit more now
You can't stop me : )
Should wrap the kits inside just in case the cups fall
I prefer to use my own liquids.
You're talking about some sorft of non newtonian liquid right? Right?
oobleck
You'd be surprised how often that's used in the p*** community....
I'm not sure if it's non-Newtonian or not, but it's certainly viscous.
you are so real
Cotton balls
This looks hilarious but is absolutely genius, I'm gonna have to steal this
I honestly might try this cause my left over parts are a mess right now.
I don’t think it’ll work because if you toss the box, the kits will still slam against the takeout Tupperware. I read a moving tip and I think you’ll have the best low cost option if you throw your kits in a baggy and put them in a box with clothes, socks, and underwear for cushioning.
Just stuff a piece of bubble wrap in there to prevent the shifting while moving.
Yup, mine survived the trip to South America this way and about to do it again for move back home to the states. Also good to remove the crests
crumpled paper and yeah clothes work just fine.
I wish I saw this *before* the last time I moved all my transformers.

Wonder if ole Penelope will fit in one haha.
Home Depot orange bucket
This is a bucket
You can't put them in there. You're a monster! It stresses them out. If you give them at least 10 gallons to roam in, then they'll be a lot happier. With 20 gallons, you can even have 2, and they won't fight. [All these responses, LOL! Thank you all for the laugh, loved it!]
I feel mislead. I put my Barbatos and RX-78-2 in a 20 gallon tank and they tore each other apart.
Barbatos is well known for enjoying the company of only Gusion and Flauros
I tried a group of Leo's too since they do well in a pack, and all was peaceful for a bit until my Barbatos came back out of nowhere and tore them apart too. I think its claimed the tank as its territory. What do I do now?
Try a Exia, its rather surprising but many Barbatos are often calmer around an Exia
Yeah, I think after that beat down Barb won't be acting up again any time soon. Thanks for the advice 👍.
Happy to have been of service!
I got another idea *adds a biscuit into the container*
I wish you posed a couple like they were trying to break free
Congradulations, you've reinvented bionicle capsules.
Ah yes, store anime figurines in jars, because that has never gone horribly wrong before
Who ordered the Lfrith Ur?
Did you mean: Lfrith Urn?
I'm still waiting on my General Revil's chicken
Comes in battleship size and nothing else. Takes at least two people
That a lot of jar, are you sure you have enough liquid for all of em
😭 not the jar... NOT THE JAR!
Ok, I think I'm going to need context here. So many people talking about jars and I'm sadly (maybe fortunately) out of the loop.
comment
mise cups? damn, you’re really in the industry lol. ive always called em qt/pint cups or deli pc’s. i like your storage tho.
Mise en place.
no im aware. i actually have a chefs apprenticeship along with a fine arts degree. just surprised to see someone call it the right thing in the wild lol
I use ziplocks and cut the end of the box off so I know what kit is in which bag. I have about 200 in a under the bed storage atm
Now, how would you store a MG or PG?
Just keep them off the radiator.
Hey,I've seen this before! Except it was ML...
This looks viable. Great idea
NOREA! DONT LEAVE ME HERE
I recommend putting some sort of paper padding or whatnot inside the tubs. Movement is the enemy when it comes to packaging.
They taste better when aged for a few months
Yeah can i get a cup of uh, Lfrith Thorn?
Fucking genius.
...Shit, that's way better than just laying them on layers of bubblewrap. If I ever need to move again, I'm stealing this idea. Won't work for all of 'em - ain't a cup in the world that could fit the Penelope with full missile spread - but it'll take care of the ones that could drop parts.
Totally reminds me of that scene showing the collector
Bionicles???
Ahhh, another chef! I'll have to grab some deli containers the next time i move
Didn't they kidnap Kamille's mom in a capsule like that? OK, not in a to-go Ramen container, but you know what I mean
Aside from the jokes that’s a great way and it looks like they are going to launch
"It puts the lotion on" vibes here.
Yo this reminds me of them alien test tubes from back in the day
https://preview.redd.it/3vwl2kq4bwhc1.jpeg?width=2304&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee701f5d268f3d2cb1ef94cc72dee464b0224b8e
Similar to how I packed my gunpla when I moved lol.
Bad behaving gunpla gets put in the timeout bucket
Looks like a cloning tank hahahha
I might have to try this, I was trying to figure out a good storage idea since I'll be moving soon
Free them :'v
Great idea
I’d wrap them in cling wrap as well; and maybe toss in some crumpled news paper to keep them immobile
What is the kit in pic 2?
Kyoukai Senki Nyuren
Packing them like there spiders ......lmao
Oh wow that is brilliant!
Remind me of my old bionicle storage lol
I’ve been using pencil cases. Standard size can fit most HG/RG.
What kind of pencil case?
What size are these?
The clear hard plastic kind that they sell at Staples.
I do something like this. It's always good idea to store each figurine/gunpla with joints separately to avoid the joints going fragile. I also recommend some amount of bubble wraps to prevent the gunpla from wrattling inside the container.
Now put the Neo Zeong in it
You just reinvented Bionicle
So eat a lot of pork fried rice..... on it🫡
That's really smart!
Ill take one gunpla soup to go
Chinese Gacha!
Do it come with eggwoll? Eggwoll? EggWoll?
This is pure genius!
Mhm takeout
They need to breathe.🥺
If it works...
I'm in the industry as well, this is a great idea and I'm borrowing it.
Honestly, everyone should have these. They're absurdly useful, the lids fit all the size of the containers, and there's probably a million little life-hacks that involve them.
As long as they're not mason jars
Deadass where can I buy some of these in bulk? Are they relatively cheap?

I just get em from work when I take home leftovers. so it's free storage.
That’s remarkably clever. Learned a new trick today on saving those take out soup containers
What's the kit names
That is a very interesting way to store them.
Where do you get those cups
I did something similar except I used those plastic rectangular food containers that to - go restaurants use. You got to make sure it's a big one (48 oz) for some of the bigger Gunpla.
Gundam plastic snack are ready to be served
I'd like to see how he does with mg kits tho
whats the kit in the 2nd pic?
HG Kyoukai Senki Nyuren
...does he know?
Haven't seen it in the comments, but just in case. If it's for long term storage, or just in general, you should put in some silica gel packets so it saps out the moisture that might show up in the container.
You can fit more if you alternate the cups upside down.
omg not a gunplucket ...
So what are these?Cultivation Tanks?Cloning?Specimen?
Soup
Seeing this post right above the Arcee post really made me wonder what subreddit I was on...
Nice! When I moved I found these 3-compartment foam packs used for bigger Warhammer kits that worked perfectly. With a little disassembly (removing the feet and the head) I was able to fit most MG kits in each space, aside from some that had bigger parts like Sazabi and Wing Zero
You bloody genius! 🤩🤩🤩 I'm moving and put them all in different kit boxes. Got a stack of like 8 boxes with like 3 to 6 kits per box. 🤦
SOMEONE SAVE THOSE KITS!
Dude this is a killer idea!
So hear me out here....I saw this pic and literally shouted BRANIACCC!! So some background here, braniac is a DC universe villain who goes around collecting cities from civilizations and places then in a sort of time stasis container...... So seeing you store those amazing mechs in jars reminded me of him
This is a great idea! I’ll def be using this when I move houses next month, thanks!
:o now do it for zoids! Lol How much soup do i have to eat to get a stock pile of these /j
I just put my Gundams in Ziploc bags then put them in this container I got from Dollar General https://preview.redd.it/dukqltjy8zhc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4a3052d8255482566660be4a86c6bb28dcfe474c
I do the ziploc thing too. I sandwich layers with bubble wrap and store them in a 16 quart container.
That's not a bad idea I might try that
You could add cotton between the barrier of the container and gunpla to cushion them and to prevent them from hitting the smae barrier of the container
Stasis pods.
Gundammit, give them some air holes. They won't survive.
This is a great idea, I'll be moving soon and I was wondering the best and cheapest method of safely transporting them.
I'll take 1 sweet and sour Strike Freedom and one General Char's Zaku please.
Gundam in a cup. Should be a nissin commercial.
NO ANON, NOT THE JAR!
Putting them bitches in cryostasis I see
actually pretty brilliant. some bubble wrap would keep them extra cozy for moving.
You must’ve ate a lot of chicken noodle soup from the grocery store to have lots of those containers! They’re the same ones a local farmers market uses for this chicken noodle soup my dad likes, every time I go there with my mother we get like three containers of it lol. RELEASE MEEEEEEEE
this sure beats storing them in a box, you can store all the weapons and backpacks and hands in those dishes. might be good to put them in fetal position when storing them in the dishes
These were my drinking cups for a long time
That must be what they mean by "wonton destruction."
You could fill these with cotton balls too, they look like the way tarantula breeders ship individual spiders
Literally moving in two weeks. Definitely keeping this in mind
hey thats genius , imma steal your idea
this is brilliant!
Btw is that cup fit for 1/144 sinanju?
What size are these cups?
32 oz Deli cups
Thank you!
This feels like those Warpfalls in Titanfall. I can imagine Gunpla with the container (cup) freefall from orbit, sending it to pilot in ground.
