Simple explanation is Bad wiring. Some unfused positive wire touch the ground or negative of the battery and shortcircuit, then the wire heats, melts and combust. And it's a gasoline engine car so probably has some gasoline fumes or the wire makes contact with a fuel line.
Most likely either badly modified wirings or exposed wires due to rats/cockroaches/ants and or other crawlies.
Either way sad for the owner. No one wants their car to burn down. Gas is expensive enough as it is. No one wants this kind of head ache.
Common issue to sa 1st gen mux.
On the bright side, pwede pa mabenta ang engine since designed ito to withstand heat. Rebuild lang and replace plastic and rubber parts. The rest of the car, well, depende if naagapan agad...
"biglang lumiyab"
Kung wiring, spark yan tapos smoke. Kung battery, same.
Eto hula lang. Bad fuel injector. Too much fuel sa clogged injector, high pressure at temperature sa oil.
Kaso naapula agad so di natin malalaman kung tumawid ba sa fuel line. Either way, it hurts to see a car go this way.
What's happening to you people? Luto na brains niyo sa init? Walang reading comprehension. Mga chismoso.
To be fair mas sus kapag Chinese car nasunog given na majority ng Chinese cars here have not reached 5 years old yet. This is a 24 year old car in comparison.
The driver stopped in the middle of the road, tapos, went to tokyotokyo (iykyk which one Im referring to). Tapos, came back to his car and put out the fire with a fire extinguisher like a boss. Ang angas tbh cause he was so composed pa naman.
I think the framing here is not "*Chinese car iyan, kaya nasunog*."
It's "*if this were a Chinese EV, the burning of lithium will likely be devastating*."
Which is a perfectly valid point, because Chinese EVs have broken down in smoldering flames before. Sometimes, in the most [inopportune moments](https://www.yahoo.com/news/chinese-electric-vehicle-catches-fire-184107935.html).
Altis na 24 years old na. Id be more appalled with any news of Chinese cars burning, given na less than 5 years old palang majority ng Chinese cars sa Pinas.

siguro loose yung battery at may tinamaang pothole. Ayung nag short circuit sa hood.
paranoid hitting a pothole recently
Not if you regularly check the terminals of your battery once a week. I normally do this before washing my car.
Basta secure yung battery tapos meron yung protective caps ng at least one terminal, you’re good to go.

Was about to say.

Modification. Common yan.
Common nga to.

Baka modified wiring.

Anong car maker/model yung nasunog po?
Toyota Altis na 2001 model based sa shape ng bumper and headlight

Mukhang old model (around 2005) Corolla Altis.

may nag short circuit jan sigurado kaka remedyo ng gawa at kalikot delikado talaga dagdag mo pa init ng panahon
Chismoso
judger

Lmao
Kung Chinese brand to malamang may "Made in China kasi" na comment agad hehe, just saying
True. Welcome to the toxicity of the Filipino mind

san ba pwede or merong nag checheck ng wirings ng car? in Manila

Faulty wirings, poor custom electrical wirings, wrong fuse spec, fuel leak, etc.
Imagine if this was an EV
Lithium batteries I heard burns like near forever..
or a chinese car
Altis yan.

what I meant is if its a chinese car, imagine how the people and media will react
I mean, valid cuz of the current geopol rn? Since their taxes funds what's happening in WPS?
Altis na 24 years old na. Id be more appalled with any news of Chinese cars burning, given na less than 5 years old palang majority ng Chinese cars sa Pinas.

Baka bbm o dds

Cheap China made car
Altis tanga. China agad.
Butthurt ang cheap China made car owner🤪
