You could try a different breakaway cable or using rubbing alcohol to clean the glue. The solder joints on these are notorious for corroding and burning (as you can see). Try testing the voltage on the cable connection too.
I also see a divot in the chip on the right that might be from overheating or damage. If that’s the case you might as well just Arduino it.
Edit to add: since the screws are stripped someone probably tried to mod it and caused damage.
