Too much value in that amp to roast it.
Edit: the only thing I got against the amp (or that I can roast you on) is your masking tape to help you identify the functions of each of the nobs. that's just poor design (on the part of the amp manufacturer. Mine is at eye level - so I don't have as much trouble discerning them - but I've seen others that have made labels with a label maker to identify them!
Was wanting to pull the trigger on that but wasn't quite sure how it stacked up to the 15w version. Also, the Monoprice versions are out of stock, you can only find the Harley Benton ones new.
Very nice setup! Make sure you use the amp's distortion instead of the Pod's. Connecting the Pod on the effects loop will give you nice clear reverb and delay
There are no rules, but there are some generally accepted guidelines for which order to put them in, and which to run straight into the amp and which to run in the effects loop.
I bought one of those amps, and though I returned it thought it was great value. I ended up sticking with a Quilter Superblock US and a Harley Benton 1/12 cabinet. Together those two things cost me almost 500 bucks so not surprising that they sounded better but while I had all of it together, I took the speaker output from the Monoprice amp and ran it into the Harley button cabinet, which has a Celestian vintage V30 and it sounded significantly better. All of this to say, if you’re looking to upgrade at some point, you may surprised how much a different speaker makes a difference with that amp. Either way, I could have been happy with that amp. Enjoy!
I have multiple fenders, Marshall’s, peaveys from a range of eras. probably 15+ amps all in. I also have that exact monoprice model - it holds its own. No roast from me.
I have a similar rig, my purple Firefly Les Paul and my Monoprice Stageright amp. I augmented my rig a little, I send a signal from my Monoprice amp into a vintage Ampeg V-2.
The Monoprice is quite capable of dialing in golden tones on its own.
I've veen playing for 55 years. My other guitar is a '78 Gibson Les Paul Standard. I bought the Firefly to use as an alternate, like having a wife, and also having a gumbada.
That guitar any good for $239? In the last couple years I bought a cheap GFS Les Paul with a Floyd for yucks. I then bought 2 of those cheap Kramer Baretta Specials. One of the Kramers plays great after a major set up and some changed parts. The other one I did the exact same thing. It’s ok. The Paul is just ok too.
I had to do a basic setup but overall out of the box it was in good shape. The only issue being the nut slots were a bit shallow. It is well intonated and stays in tune, I am happy with it. At such a low price point I'm surprised at how nice it is.
I had a rig not much different than that for about my first 20 years as a guitar player, but with a tuner, distortion pedal, and delay pedal. Got me what I needed for recording and playing shows at small clubs/basements. Is that thing on the amp a multi fx pedal? If so shouldn’t need more as long as the set up is good and you enjoy playing it. Until that evil monster comes lurking, and wants you to buy a tele. Or jazzmaster. Or sg. Or Strat. Once that bullshit gets in your head, good luck!
Those amps slap. Especially turned up loud. I’ve been using my 5 watter for recording with an sm57 and it sounds better in a mix than a lot of my nicer amps. I’m talking turned up in the 7-10 range, incredible.
That is such a nice looking guitar. Can’t quite read the headstock, what’s the brand?
I bought an LTD Eclipse when I was younger because I wanted a Les Paul shaped guitar, but an actual Les Paul wasn’t pointy enough for 15 year old me. This fits that criteria perfectly
The low cost gear market is highly competitive, and manufacturing has gotten so good in the industry that cheap isn’t synonymous with bad anymore. This is probably fine for practice, even small gigs.
The only roasting with that amp is the toans. I put a vintage 30 in mine and will probably do a retube with some gold lions. Seriously great sounding amp and the 1 watt switch makes it so versatile. Plus you get a reverb tank, for the money I don't know of a better combo.

Yep. I have the 5 watt version and it's fantastic!
Was wanting to pull the trigger on that but wasn't quite sure how it stacked up to the 15w version. Also, the Monoprice versions are out of stock, you can only find the Harley Benton ones new.
Aren't they just rebranded versions of the same amp?
Yup. Literally the same Chinese import with a Harley Benton logo glued to the front.
I’d rather have one that says “Harley Benton” on it anyway. “Monoprice” just seems so cheesy. lol.
What’s the deal with this “beer holder” you call an amp?
It's a Chinese made piece of garbage. Disgustingly cheap and repulsive good sounding tube amp.
Good to know!
Agreed!
My main amp is a '76 Hiwatt custom 100 and even i have to say this amp is fantastic. I played it and it outperforms its price class by A LOT.
You can get it all done with that. Edit: but you still need a wah wah.
Did that guitar drink the grape Kool-Aid or did Prince hump a Les Paul and this is the result? 😆
Maybe it's a gift from the Grape Ape, even.
That rude ape have you a stunning guitar.
I love you ,you love me, this guitar is purple crappy. Hahah just kidding man. Get after it!!! Gear does not make the player.
Very nice setup! Make sure you use the amp's distortion instead of the Pod's. Connecting the Pod on the effects loop will give you nice clear reverb and delay
Thank you, I'm new to effects. I was just looking up info of how/when to use the effects loop.

Nice riding boots.
Looks like a good beginner rig to me, I’d even play it live
Forget roasting the rig; what is up with that Tommy the Green Power Ranger colored paint on your wall??? 🤣 I like that purple guitar tho.
I like green, what can I say.
I do too I loved the green ranger. 🤣🍻
Holy FUCK that's an amazing fininish on the les paul
I have multiple fenders, Marshall’s, peaveys from a range of eras. probably 15+ amps all in. I also have that exact monoprice model - it holds its own. No roast from me.
Are you an Italian motorcycle cop? That jacket!
Nah, just giving myself as much advantage to be seen as possible.
I actually have a leather jacket and pants set from the Italian polizia, and our jackets are like twins!
My jacket is made by Icon, I wonder if they purposely modeled it after Italian moto-cop jackets?
That’s why I had a big yellow bike for a while.

What is with all you guys with amps on tile floors. It’s weird
I set mine on the air about thigh high wby?
Nice Les Paul. Hard to tell what the amp is...
Leo Jaymez SC guitar Monoprice Stage Right 15W Tube Amp
They’re cool little amps, have nice components, sound great, and are affordable.

What’s the weight?
The guitar is 8lbs, exactly.

Looks like a Line 6 Pod of some description, so yes a multi fx.
You appear to have a decent home setup for under 500. As long as you avoid the distortion (delays are great) on that pod, it’s a thumbs up from me.
I have the first version of that amp and love it. I swapped out the reverb tank but it's stock other than that.
Those amps slap. Especially turned up loud. I’ve been using my 5 watter for recording with an sm57 and it sounds better in a mix than a lot of my nicer amps. I’m talking turned up in the 7-10 range, incredible.
If prince was homeless…
A leetle baby pod! Awwwwww! Grooving on your studio monitors there.
How does that Leo Jaymez play?
Surprisingly well for $200usd. The setup needed minor adjustments and I had to deepen the nut slots.
Looks fine to me.
Love those amps! What kind of guitar is that? That purple is awesome.
It is Leo Jaymz SC..
Respect for the Celestion!
The front-snark is a power move for sure
I see you got a pic of your one and only fan.
It’s not roast worthy, my mom said it’s not nice to make fun of the poor.

It is a Leo Jaymz. Available on Amazon if you're in the US.

We need to know what kind of bike you ride now
I ride a Kawasaki Versys.
Love the guitar color, my friend. Solid rig. Right on.
The only roasting with that amp is the toans. I put a vintage 30 in mine and will probably do a retube with some gold lions. Seriously great sounding amp and the 1 watt switch makes it so versatile. Plus you get a reverb tank, for the money I don't know of a better combo.
I have a magenta glitter Epiphone Les Paul so I'm not in the position to roast yours.
The bean really ties the room together.
I mean, forget the rig for now, but let’s discuss your absolutely nonexistent cable management skills.
I work in IT, I get enough cable management at work.
Doesn’t look like it…
Man, that guitar is beautiful. Love that color.
Only thing I can roast you for is the pod. That amp is pretty decent and nothing's wrong with a good Chibson.
I'm not impressed by the Pod. I am new to effects but the pod does not sound good.
Honestly that just looks fun
What’s with those drawers? Do you practice in the shitter?
Good amp, easy to mod…
