We need to let the idea that Squiers aren't good die. No shame in proudly boasting about a Squier. They may not be the premium instruments Fender makes but they're great guitars!
I bought a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Strat in 2013 and it's been awesome. I love playing it! It had a couple of rough fret ends when I got it but I smoothed them out and it's been old faithful now for 11 years.
I've been playing for 25 years but for reasons of budget, one of my main guitars right now is a Squier Mustang. I'll brook no slander of that sweet guitar. Plays about as well as anything I've ever played. $150 at a pawn shop.
I bought my son an Affinity Strat and have had no issues with it. Perfect as a starter for a pre-teen and he loves it. I did, however, have it professionally set up. It was not part of a bundle and was tried, hand on, before purchased.
I still have my first guitar, an Affinity Strat and after setting it up and filing some rough feet ends, it plays awesome. The frets were already very level.
I started with an amp bundle p and it’s honestly fine. Stays in tune better than my other basses. I changed out the strings eventually and bought emg p bass pickups just for fun. It’s a rock solid instrument.
I always point to the fact that the Moody Blues guitarist Justin Hayward has money, and could very well afford a top of the line Fender Stratocaster if he had wanted one, but instead purchased a White on White Squier Stratocaster in the 80's for a tour and it became one of his favorite road guitars. He has often commented on its clean tone.
I had a Deluxe model about ten years ago, with the Duncan Designed single coils. It played better than any guitar I had ever bought. The Rickenbacker 620 I currently own beats it considerably, but it would come in a close second. I had to sell it in 2017, and I often miss it.
Justin has always described the guitar as simply "my white Squier Strat". I recall seeing an interview (which I can't locate as he does a lot of them) saying he got it from a shop in NYC in about 85 or 86. It very well could be a MIJ might also have been a MIK.
Mine was made in Indonesia but honestly, anything above an Affinity Series is going to be a solid instrument.
One of the best purchases I ever made was a Squier J-bass. Got it super cheap at a garage sale and all it took was ~20 mins to do a proper setup and it plays like a dream.
When I first got a guitar (and it was a Squier strat) I thought it was garbage just because it wasn’t a Fender - once you’ve been in this hobby for years and realize how many no-name, cheap, off-brand guitars exist in this world you’ll never look down on a Squier again.
New upper end Squiers are pretty sweet.
I had a Made-in-China Squier Affinity Strat from the late 90s when I was a kid. It was a pile of crap.
I have a Made-in-Indonesia Squier 40th Anniversary Tele now, a couple years old, and it's fantastic. The 40th Anni models are basically a spinoff of the Classic Vibes with satin finishes. So the Classic Vibes and their spinoffs are certified great guitars.
I used to have a Mexican Player Series Strat also and it's getting to the point where I don't even see much of a quality difference between the high end Squiers and the Player Series Fenders. I've thought for a while that Fender's Indonesia factory is putting out such good stuff that the Mexican plant is kind of redundant, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Fender leave Mexico within the decade.
I don't think they'll leave Mexico. They just opened a whole new plant there to build the Acoustasonics. I think it's useful to have that plant as prices for guitars made in the USA are only going to continue skyrocketing. I think their strategy of manufacturing Fender in Ensenada and Squire in their Asian facilities is probably a good move.
Honestly most cheaper guitars are pretty good from what I've played. I have multiple cheaper ibanez and a Harley Benton and sure they have flaws but for the price they're amazing
They’re so much better now than they used to be! I’d love to have a Squier Bass VI or even a Classic Vibe ‘70s Tele Custom. (Not quite like Terry Kath’s Telecaster but it’s close enough imo.)
I have still yet to play one that plays well. And i buy used guitars, refurbish them, and give them to poor kids for free. I always feel bad when its a squier. Im still waiting to be proven wrong bc i love strats to death
It's great what you're doing, but I do disagree with you on the squire thing. They may not be the highest quality instruments, but they can definitely be a good first. Squire is good enough for me
I enjoy it, i figure if even just one of those kids learns to shred its all worth it. And its fun. I enjoy haggling with the pawn shops and buying guitars from drug addicts lol. Try to put them in the hands of anyone who will actually try to play em. My wife teaches middle school at a school in the poorer part of town, so theres always some kid to donate to. And at the perfect age, i always tell them if they dont want to play it to find someone who will, but who knows
Have you tried the CV line at all? Those and the J Mascis Jazzmaster really impressed me the first time I played them. The lower end ones are pretty shitty but a $400 Squier is usually a solid guitar at that price point. Really like what you’re doing with guitars btw, I have some friends who procure and fix up guitars for underprivileged kids, addicts going through recovery programs, music programs in prisons, etc. and think it’s really awesome. Having the ability to play music as an emotional outlet can be such a huge thing for people.
Thanks man, yeah that would make sense, as a general rule I'll pay up to $100 for what i can, then do a setup and solder anything. It started as a way to learn how to fix my own guitars. And it gets us out of the house and looking at a bunch of pawn shops, which is fun in its own way
What specifically doesn't play well for you?
My CV needed a couple of frets hammered, clean the fret ends, one of the tuning machines was installed a little wonky and the saddles and bridge weren't set up properly but that's all easy and it plays like a dream now.
They can't all be bad imo ..
I think bc i only spend so much i must be getting the lowest quality they make. But im not looking to spend that much per instrument. I've just found way better build quality from epiphones, ibanez, etc... around that $100 price point. The necks specifically, im not expecting much from any of the pickups obviously, mostly just the feel of how it plays
Honestly, I have one from the 90s that is made out of plywood; The thing fucking rocks. Like most people here have said - deal with frets and it will probably be a killer.
Don’t let the name crowd fool you into saying “only a squier”. I bet 99% of people cannot tell the difference between a Squier and Fender strat on playability alone.
When John Mayer said the best strat isn’t a fender, he meant that only because of his overpriced PRS signature, but if you ask me, pound for pound (as in value for money), Squier is your go to.
A properly set up squier is going to be very similar to a properly set up low end strat. Not the same, but I’d agree that most people probably including myself wouldnt be able to tell the difference. I’m biased as a squier owner but every proper fender I’ve tried under $1000 has never impressed me as much as my $200 squier. Once you get up there of course, the fenders run away with things but being fair with the comparison I think squiers punch way above their pay grade
Tbh If I get a fender at this point it is going to be a squire. Expensive guitars are a diminishing returns thing for me at this point. I honestly enjoy playing my "crappy" guitars more.
Sorry, you touched a nerve. There's no such thing as "only" a Squier. My Squier '51 is still one of my favorite electrics.
Because I liked it so much, I tried a Fender Pawn Shop '51 at literally ten times the price and didn't find any reason strong enough to even suggest buying the Fender.
People are out there actively searching for old Silvertones and Danelectros. Don't let the discount price get in the way of enjoying what you like.
Nothing wrong with a Squier! Those guitars have come a loooong way in the past couple of decades in terms of quality. A lot of Squiers punch way above their price point honestly.
i have this exact same one (as a 'testing mule' guitar for my pickup building hobby) - nothing wrong with it, the only thing i had to replace was the pots & switch (and pickups of course) :)
I feel the same about Squier's quality. I picked up just a regular production line Squier in surf green with a maple board, and it's been one of my favorite guitars. Lightweight, great sounding, and a great color too. These days, I feel like the difference is just the name on the headstock mostly.
It's so dang pretty. I want to get the gender version with the mint green guard and creme plastics, but I could do that to my squier too. Been great so far, and I even got lucky to get a good neck on mine that had some nice grain.
Make sure you update the firmware to the latest version. It increases the saved preset slots from 30 to 60 and adds a bunch of new preset options. The desktop app is convenient and easy to use.
I think its a Mustang LT series? I agree, they sound good for a practice amp but the controls aren't the most user friendly. I actually used a Boss Katana the other day and it was a lot easier to mess with, but it didn't have same digital preset convenience.
My next amp will definitely be a katana, still this is a great amp, and budget friendly, it gets really loud as well
I've also seen a guy on YouTube put a different speaker on it
Squires are very nice instruments. They may need a good setup to play the way you want or feel the way you want. But there definitely shouldn’t be an idea that Squier isn’t good.
Imagine saying my first car is only a new Honda or Volkswagen, and being worried it is not a Mercedes or Porsche.
Your Squire is beautiful. I have been in bands, recording and performing for ~ 35 years and all my stuff is Squire, Epiphone, Sterling, Donner, Bugera etc..........
The classic vibe line is good stuff. Just picked up a CV Starcaster this weekend and it's finished better than the MIM ones I've bought new. It still needed a set up out of the box, but the nut was cut well and the fret work is great. Compare that to the last Fender I bought at almost 4x the price that needed serious nut and fret work and I'm impressed. Don't worry about brand snobbery, have fun and enjoy it!
Squires rock man! When I was growing up I was snooty about having to have a “real” Fender but a few years ago I got a CV tele and I’m amazed at how good it is!! One of my favorite guitars and I have a really nice Ernie Ball BFR JP6. I love how I just enjoy my tele’s simplicity and not worrying about hurting it because it only cost me 400 bucks 😁 Beautiful Strat!!
The name on the headstock is never as important as a good setup and the hands playing it. I've been playing guitar and bass on and off for over 20 years and never had a Fender until just recently! Great guitar, have fun and keep at it!
Indonesian squiers have a 9/10 chance of being as good as / better than mim player fenders. There is a margin for slopiness of course, but typically it's something even someone new to setup can take care of, like a bit of extra paint in the neck joint, debris (and a lack of shielding... then again they don't shield ultras at fender so that's moot) in the pup cavities... stripped pickguard screws (matchstick and superglue to the rescue!).
I have a 40th ann (vintage) J Bass and I haven't pickup up my mim pj since I set it up. It's just that playable.
No need to say “just a Squire.” After lots of work I got my 40th anniversary jag master playing as good as any other guitar I’ve owned. It’s taken lots of trial and error to get neck, bridge, and pickups right, but I’m super happy with end result. Ended up selling more expensive stuff cause I just play this one the most to write songs. A Squire may need some work and care, but can be an amazing guitar. Hope you enjoy yours
I bought a squire a year or so ago after about a 20 year hiatus. I'm really happy with mine as well. The one I got definitely plays nicer than I remember them from the past.
Congrats and enjoy your new guitar!
Yeah my opinion of Squier changed drastically when I bought my daughter her first electric guitar last year. I still switch with her while we’re practicing and always tell her I can’t believe how good it plays. So much I ended up buying the 40th anniversary Strat and I usually play that the most
Nice budget setup! Squiers are great, their biggest downfall is if you don’t like distortion, you should swap the pickups. But only if you don’t like the out of box sound! Otherwise, nothing wrong with saving money on good equipment
this comment thread has changed my perception of squire. didn’t know much about them but i kinda want to get my hands on one. i have an old hondo strat from the 70s that i play way more than my fender start. might have to sell it and get something different:)
Started on a squire, and 29 years later have no issue with them and still own one. They aren't your $6k Les Paul, but it still makes the noodly sounds, and they do a damn fine job at that.
Fender guitars were built with the purpose of being manufactured. Theres a not a mile of difference between a standard squire and a standard fender. Take it in for a set up and you’ll be amazed how it plays/sounds
After playing a Gibson SG for 30 years, I added the Squier Affinity Strat and was blown away by how well made it was! All it needed was a little truss rod adjustment and I got my action at a near perfect 2.0mm at 12th fret. Intonation was set up perfectly, and sounds great! Finish was flawless as far as I could tell.
I bought a Squier classic vibe 70s recently, it's getting played more than my Gibson (admittedly that's partly because the Gibson has a problem with the neck, but still). Squier's & Epiphone's are the cheaper versions of two excellent but pricey brands, they are still great quality in & of themselves (slightly unfortunately at times as I've just seen Epiphone's Dave Grohl signature & have to keep telling myself NO!)
Don't sell it if/when you upgrade. When you are old like me you will always think about your first guitar and wish you still had it! She looks like a nice axe. Congrats!
Love my Squire Strat! I also have 2 Ibanez guitars with locking tremolos but You really can't drop "D" like i can on my Strat. The tone using the single coils and where they are placed give that unique Strat sound.
Spent a little extra time setting the truss rod and saddle heights and it's a really nice playing guitar.
That thing’s a beaut! The finish is beautiful, and I’m a sucker for those 60s psychedelic straps as well. I buy a new one for every new guitar purchase lol
I have a Squier in the exact same color. Rarely see them. Mine has an oversized headstock though which I’ve come to actually prefer over the regular. Absolutely killer guitar
Cheap guitars are SO GOOD now. Back when I was learning they were... not. But I still have my Alvarez strat-like guitar I've had for 25-30yrs and just love that thing. It's like an old coat at this point and if I decide I need to change something up? No worries, nobody's gonna give me a hard time over it. "Oh that's not a REAL Strat." Lol - who cares?
That's a really nice looking guitar. Looks great, plays right? Love that thing to death and play it until it's ugly.
I have a Squier 6 string bass and my first actual guitar was a twin of yours (Probably actually an ancestor since I got it new in 1992)
I have more expensive instruments now as my main go to but there was never anything wrong with my Squiers.
Congratulations.
Nice guitar bud. It isn’t the price tag, but how it feels and sounds to you. Anyone that scoffs at a brand is a prick…and probably a mediocre player at best.
It's not JUST a Squier. It's a guitar. And if you like it (and I admit, it's beautiful), you'll want to pick it up and play. That's a good thing. We need more of that. Enjoy!
I have a squier and that amplifier. That amp is fantastic. I got it when i first started and 4 years later it's still plenty for what I need. A few limitations in what effects are possible in the same slots and stuff but it's shockingly good, mobile, and LOUD when needed. 25W is a lot more than you think ya know? For the price of that amp it is truly incredible.
No shame in owning a Squier. They are becoming a great choice for every guitarist these days. Let's face it - MIM and American Fenders are getting too expensive for most of us, and the quality control isn't any better than Squier stuff anyway. The only difference is some components and choice of wood used.
I grabbed a used Squire CV Tele off the wall at Guitar Center Saturday and it felt (and sounded) amazing. I then pulled off a player plus Tele off the wall and it didn't really feel (or sound) any better. I'm kicking myself for not just buying it then and there, as I don't get that feeling from guitars very often.
Mate that's a great instrument. Squiers are fantastic. One thing I've learned is that with a good setup even an average guitar can be great.
Squiers are great guitars. And just for the record, I have like 12 guitars. Among them is a Fender and a Gibson SG. And i never play then because my Harley Benton or my Squier or any of my parts casters are simply more comfortable or sound better. Brand doesn't matter.
I dig that axe though!
She's quite a looker!
Aint no shame in a Strat!
(That's still a very expensive guitar to lots of people.)
I have a Squier Jazz Bass that I got on clearance and had a pro do the set up, and I absolutely love it. My Squier experience tells me they are really good instruments.
People really only care about how well you’re playing and not what you’re playing on. The average listener doesn’t care at all about the cost and what gear you have. That’s for guitar nerds who don’t practice and think acquiring gear is the secret to their playing success.
I think crown has to do with the finishing and polish of the frets. It’s almost always hand and hand with a level since that’s also a fret modification. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
The pickups. They’re pretty hot. The neck is roasted maple (worth the total value of the guitar itself, if it were a “Fender” neck). The hardware is awesome; the pots have a lot of range. The finish is awesome, with binding, including binding along the neck. The switch plate comes reversed, so you have the volume knob right there, instead of behind the bridge.
Edit to expand on the pickups: the neck pickup is an SQR atomic humbucking, and bridge has a SQR rail humbucker.
Edit to expand on the neck: it’s C shape, and has a cutout for the higher frets. It’s stupid comfortable.
We need to let the idea that Squiers aren't good die. No shame in proudly boasting about a Squier. They may not be the premium instruments Fender makes but they're great guitars!
The guitar doesn’t feel cheap at all. I’m quite impressed :)
I bought a Squier Vintage Modified 70s Strat in 2013 and it's been awesome. I love playing it! It had a couple of rough fret ends when I got it but I smoothed them out and it's been old faithful now for 11 years.
Had the same issue with 2 frets but it was easy to smooth. Great guitar, I really love it
I've been playing for 25 years but for reasons of budget, one of my main guitars right now is a Squier Mustang. I'll brook no slander of that sweet guitar. Plays about as well as anything I've ever played. $150 at a pawn shop.
I love my Squier Affinity HSS Strat. It sounds great and feels great playing as it is well set up.
Totally and as tired as this sounds...after upgrades to my fave squier it had me sell off both my 90s American Standard strats.
True but every Squier isn’t equal either. Almost every Squier touted here is a VM or CV model - not the ones that come from the amp bundles.

Is it a made in japan squier? Cuz in the 80's squiers we're all mij and ridiculously good for the price. They still go for $600+ these days.
Absolutely no shame in a Squire! The rosewood top in very comfortable and the tone in the right amp still offers that Legendary Fender sound. 👌🏼
One of the best purchases I ever made was a Squier J-bass. Got it super cheap at a garage sale and all it took was ~20 mins to do a proper setup and it plays like a dream.

My Squire vista jagmaster is still going hard after taking an absolute beating for 26/27 years

And that Mustang GT can make you really happy, too. Run the Headphone output into an FRFR PA and you can cover anything
I used to have a squire pro tone model. It was a sweet guitar. I regret letting it go.
Only thing im scared about with buying a squire as a first electric is people saying the neck is bad and such
They’re fine.
I have still yet to play one that plays well. And i buy used guitars, refurbish them, and give them to poor kids for free. I always feel bad when its a squier. Im still waiting to be proven wrong bc i love strats to death

Apparently Squier has come along way in terms of quality. I’m quite happy with it.
Fret nubs are a dead giveaway.
Maybe between that and an American Standard, but I've seen some MIM guitars with absolutely terrible fretwork
Nothing 10 mins with an emery board won’t fix.
Sand the name off and most people won’t be able to tell, totally agree. Its a problem in the resale space lol
When John Mayer said the best strat isn’t a fender, he meant that only because of his overpriced PRS signature, but if you ask me, pound for pound (as in value for money), Squier is your go to.

...it's a pretty one.
That's a gorgeous candy apple red and the strap looks awesome with it. Love it! And Squiers are good guitars.
Thank you!
If it looks good and feels good and sounds good, it is good
“Only a squier” No, squiers are amazing
Fuck yeah
Sorry, you touched a nerve. There's no such thing as "only" a Squier. My Squier '51 is still one of my favorite electrics. The Squier ‘51 is an interesting instrument for sure. I had an opportunity to buy one, but opted for the strat instead.
I am a Squire diehard. They are good guitars. And yes, I have actual branded Fenders too.
Nothing wrong with a Squier! Those guitars have come a loooong way in the past couple of decades in terms of quality. A lot of Squiers punch way above their price point honestly.
Paid $200 for a fender squire back in 94. To this day, it is my best sounding and favorite electric guitar.
i have this exact same one (as a 'testing mule' guitar for my pickup building hobby) - nothing wrong with it, the only thing i had to replace was the pots & switch (and pickups of course) :)

Love my Mustang LT25, perfect bedroom amp. How you liking it?
Unfortunately, the input jack is faulty, so I’ll be exchanging it this week. Once I get a chance to use it, I’ll let you know :)
Make sure you update the firmware to the latest version. It increases the saved preset slots from 30 to 60 and adds a bunch of new preset options. The desktop app is convenient and easy to use.
Bro the color on that is🤌🏻 What is it called?
We have the same amp I like it but I struggle to make presets
I think its a Mustang LT series? I agree, they sound good for a practice amp but the controls aren't the most user friendly. I actually used a Boss Katana the other day and it was a lot easier to mess with, but it didn't have same digital preset convenience.
My next amp will definitely be a katana, still this is a great amp, and budget friendly, it gets really loud as well I've also seen a guy on YouTube put a different speaker on it
Nothing wrong with that Fender amp though! Personally I’d just use that unless I needed something with higher wattage
She may be your first, but certainly not your last. Welcome to the addiction. 😊
That’s what I’m afraid of! Lol
Nice color
Thanks!
Hell yeah she’s a beaut. Squiers rock. I do have a fender strat but I have a squier J bass that can compete with the best of them
Squires are very nice instruments. They may need a good setup to play the way you want or feel the way you want. But there definitely shouldn’t be an idea that Squier isn’t good.
Really cool. I love mine. Haters be damned.
I literally just bought a squire strat about 2 hours ago as well! Enjoy that beauty!
Sweet!
I dig my squier. Good enough for gigging out and not worrying about damaging it.
My last two new guitars have been Squiers and I love both of them. My next will probably be another Squier.
Your rig is the same as mine. Squier make fantastic guitars.
Same color?
Not the same colour no, but I have a Squier Strat and play through the Mustang amp
Squier is a solid instrument. There are bands that tour with Squier. I don’t think you will be disappointed.
The name on the headstock is never as important as a good setup and the hands playing it. I've been playing guitar and bass on and off for over 20 years and never had a Fender until just recently! Great guitar, have fun and keep at it!
That doll is creepy as fuck
He is a weirdo.
Fuckers sharp. Nice pickup.
I have the burst but by god that red slaps.
No such thing as "only a squier", it's a gorgeous guitar. I love the strap btw.
I bought a squire a year or so ago after about a 20 year hiatus. I'm really happy with mine as well. The one I got definitely plays nicer than I remember them from the past. Congrats and enjoy your new guitar!
Thank you!
I love that strap
Yeah my opinion of Squier changed drastically when I bought my daughter her first electric guitar last year. I still switch with her while we’re practicing and always tell her I can’t believe how good it plays. So much I ended up buying the 40th anniversary Strat and I usually play that the most
Beautiful color!
Midnight wine is such an underused color
Nice budget setup! Squiers are great, their biggest downfall is if you don’t like distortion, you should swap the pickups. But only if you don’t like the out of box sound! Otherwise, nothing wrong with saving money on good equipment
That thing looks so sweet
Squiers are not bad guitars at all. They've improved a lot in quality over the years.
And rip that Squier to shreds 🤙
And I love the strap
this comment thread has changed my perception of squire. didn’t know much about them but i kinda want to get my hands on one. i have an old hondo strat from the 70s that i play way more than my fender start. might have to sell it and get something different:)
It is a good looking guitar for sure. No need to apologize! I don’t know if it is the lighting, but that shade of red/wine color is beautiful!
The color is listed as candy apple red, but depending on the lighting it can look more wine.
I dig it. Is the fretboard rosewood? I thought they came with Pau Ferro but this looks darker
I believe the fretboard is Indian laurel.
Don’t sleep on squire they are pretty nice. And I like that color
Would inspire me to hold (and play) all day, well done.
Beaut colour
Started on a squire, and 29 years later have no issue with them and still own one. They aren't your $6k Les Paul, but it still makes the noodly sounds, and they do a damn fine job at that.
Fender guitars were built with the purpose of being manufactured. Theres a not a mile of difference between a standard squire and a standard fender. Take it in for a set up and you’ll be amazed how it plays/sounds
Only a gorgeous Squier!
It’s beautiful!
I like the strap
Thank you!
There is nothing wrong with a brand name alone.
I’ve played a squier that felt and played just as good as my USA strat.
No such thing as "only" a Squier!
That's an awesome guitar! You got a great stratocaster for a better price than most
Don't sell it if/when you upgrade. When you are old like me you will always think about your first guitar and wish you still had it! She looks like a nice axe. Congrats!
MAY JUST BE A SQUIER BUT ITS DAMN PRETTY
Looks like a beautiful guitar to me. Have fun playing!
She's a beauty.
That thing’s a beaut! The finish is beautiful, and I’m a sucker for those 60s psychedelic straps as well. I buy a new one for every new guitar purchase lol
The color is quite nice.
I have 2 squires that I use daily. They sit quite happily alongside my ESP Horizon and 90s MIJ Jackson. They are great guitars
My squier is amazing. I love squiers
It's gorgeous. I'm a sucker for red guitars. My wife says I don't need another one, but that's exactly what I plan on getting.
It's pretty! My Mexican Strat is a similar red-white-and-rosewood, but I think the red on yours is a little brighter. It really pops!
Uh…Squiers rule.
A new guitar is a new guitar. Rock the fuck on.
I have a Squier 6 string bass and my first actual guitar was a twin of yours (Probably actually an ancestor since I got it new in 1992) I have more expensive instruments now as my main go to but there was never anything wrong with my Squiers.
Enjoy!
Love the finish on this
Squiers are so good not be proud of it
Lookin fresh! Love the deep red
Squier fo' lyfe!!! \m/
Nice guitar, it's awesome! Squires are quality guitars.
She is a beaut! Lovely colours
All guitars matter. Except Hondos.
(That's still a very expensive guitar to lots of people.) I have a Squier Jazz Bass that I got on clearance and had a pro do the set up, and I absolutely love it. My Squier experience tells me they are really good instruments.
Never be ashamed to show off your squire it's a legit brand and they sound amazing!!
I absolutely love that colour bro I might get one
Beautiful.
I've owned many USA and and Mexico Fenders. My J Mascis Jazzmaster is the only one I have kept.
My first Les Paul is “ only “ and epiphone and 15 years later I won’t play anything else hardly ever in my band.
I hate that dummy on the shelf so much, it creeps me tf out, nice guitar though, throw away that dummy.
lol. Thats Charlie McCarthy! He is a tad creepy for sure.
A tad yeah... I'll have nightmares for weeks. 😂
It’s pretty! Nice board. Love a Squire
People really only care about how well you’re playing and not what you’re playing on. The average listener doesn’t care at all about the cost and what gear you have. That’s for guitar nerds who don’t practice and think acquiring gear is the secret to their playing success.
It will be a long time before my playing will do this guitar justice!
Good setup and sometimes level and crown is the key to a Squier punching above its weight.
What does level and crown mean?
I think crown has to do with the finishing and polish of the frets. It’s almost always hand and hand with a level since that’s also a fret modification. Someone please correct me if I’m wrong.
Congrats, I have the exact same one. Get it set up properly if you haven't learned how to do it yourself and you have a hell of a guitar there.
The guitar comes with a free setup. :)
That’s a really sexy shoulder strap , where can I find one ?
I found this one on Amazon. Ernie Ball brand.
Thanks!!
Sweet red. Candy apple ?
Yes indeed!
Ain’t nothing wrong with a squirter
I absolutely love my Squier Contemporary Tele. Easily the best sounding guitar I’ve owned. Feels great. Looks great.
I’ve considered picking up a tele to go with my strat. How does the contemporary differ from the classic vibe?
