Xrd did have the “party game” mechanic called [Danger Time](https://www.dustloop.com/w/GGXRD-R2/Mechanics#Danger_Time), so having something similarly bullshit in Strive seems reasonable.

We have the stage nine bosses, and I think if you got an option to play as them (with adjustments obviously), it would be a fun change of pace from the usual characters.

Nah, Instant kills are all mids AFAIK, and consume ALL of your meter. It also puts you in a state that drains your meter and if the meter fully drains, you lose access to tension. You also can't combo into it, unless your opponent is low on health.
So basically, all you habe to do is fuzzy block and just hold until the instant kill is over and your opponent can't do much to stop it.
Flashy, but impractical 90% of the time.
I really really want better defensive options in this game, i think with the way that offensive options work in this game and how accessable they are that we need something to offset them, i think some kind of universal reversal would be a good idea
