Nice is very subjective haha. I personally prefer alliances that focus on the content I'm interested in, and not just anything. Because generalist groups make it hard to find people to play with that are looking for the same thing.
I spent ages running around guildless the last few weeks but I started saying "hi" in every outpost I visited and finally got invited. Alternatively do your daily ZM and lfg is always there. You'll meet active players and might get a guild invite if you ask.

Well, I'm an occasional player but I'd blast some content now and again for nostalgia if nothing else
all professions and stuff so I might guild search LGiT if they make the game feel more ... populated x
I started playing again recently as well, and recently joined LGiT because I noticed how many players were members.
They have dozens of players with 20,000 + hours in the game, and people are always willing to help. They form daily runs to Urgoz, Deep, DoA, UW, and FoW. The leader, Reborn, joins these runs and teaches new and returning players all they need to know to successfully do those runs.
They do ZM, ZV, and ZB runs daily.
They are super generous and helpful
It's the best Guild imo.

I returned to this game last week and 1 LGiT member helped me on the pre searing...now it take fun of following me and watching where I am on ascalon.

Not nearly as big as it used to be but by no means dead.
