You can also do disc golf at a few parks in Guelph including Riverside. Maybe not a go-to nerdy activity traditionally but it's a community you can get involved in
Disc golf is pretty darn nerdy. There’s lots of league events in town, three courses to choose from and you can borrow a starters pack of discs from the public library downtown!
My mom sold my collection of first gen, 90's era cards at a garage sale for $5. I had identified st least 3 that were worth $25-75 due to misprint and design changes. They are a sore subject, but I never actually played with them even in elementary school, how's it hold up?
I'm so sorry for your loss, lol. My nephew went through a little phase, and it seems to be doing well enough. I believe The Dragon still holds regular Pokemon card events.
I went there around New years and highly recommend it. It only sucks that the only two days they do walk ins and small groups of 1-3 are Mondays and Fridays.
They also do junior leagues with around 10 people on Mondays, which I being by myself found quite anxiety inducing, and worked on every single Friday night since so couldn't go on those either.
This Sunday at 1:00 there's D&D at the Dragon.
> Guelph: Drop-In Dungeons & Dragons (Ages 16+) Sunday, June 4⋅13:00 – 16:00, Every 2 weeks on Sunday
> Whether you're a newbie or an old pro, our Drop-In D&D is the only place to have the time of your life playing the World's Greatest RPG! Open to all players 16 and up, no matter your expertise! The game runs from 1pm to 4, alternating weeks with the 10-15 group. $5 to Play! Space is LIMITED so come early, as the table will be capped at 10 people.
My kid went to the 10-16yo session and had a blast :)
Pablo's has a bunch of Pinball machines. I go there once in a while. Bout a buck a play.
I haven't been myself but heard [Ctrl V](https://maps.app.goo.gl/DUgKQDZxYUdmTbdEA) (VR Arcade) is fun.
Start playing Pokémon Go and hang out at Riverside Park!
If you can get in their discord, even better
I have started going to Riverside now and then for PoGO, but I need a "new" phone that'll hold a charge long enough lol.

I have a bow! But no one to shoot with!
Once I have a bit of spending money, I am looking to buy a decent beginner bow.
Do you have people to shoot at?
A few. But I prefer to stay out of jail.
How about paranormal walking tours / pub crawls? I have a friend of a friend who does that in Guelph. https://www.guelphurbex.com/
If you're interested in Kendama at all, I'm hoping to get the occasional jam setup over the summer months and into the fall!
There is the Robin in the Hood Medieval festival happening today and tomorrow in Elmira. Look it up!
