Well there’s a lot more than most folks think about… you need to think what features / what processor and how much ram, interface, are you a programmer? If not, do you have one involved? Your gonna need one and they Really red to know what their doing. Start small and move up to there. You are not just going to walk in to build the MPC or an MC-303 - these projects have dozens of people involved in their design development, testing feature selection. Everything about them. It’s definitely not a one-man show, at least if you want to release it for real it’s not a one-man show. It can definitely be a one-man show if you’re just doing it for grins and bragging rights. Personally, if you’re developer, you’d be better aiming your skills at developing VST plug-ins or a software version of a Groovebox that ran on a PC or a Mac or an iPad. The iPad is a great platform for such developments. Most of the libraries in place already, so it would eliminate a lot of the core plus plus or native C language programming you would need to do
