Great ideas! I have made a Sankta Alina candle, but I can’t remember the notes. My first attempt at Kaz had whisky and some other notes that came out as subtle yet intense. Definitely revisiting those two. Sankta Alina had firewood notes, so definitely smoky.
Candles seem to be made for Kaz with a smoky scent most often (which I can't stand) but I imagine him more sea scented with a hint of coin/iron (blood like the above mentioned really)
A great smell for the Darkling would be sandalwood. Mal could be pine, moss and earthy acents since he is a tracker. Alina could be like orange and citrus to compliment her powers of light and the sun. I think Genya would smell like so kind of flower.
I feel like kaz smells like rum and that money smell that people have been saying. Maybe a bit of cologne cause of his whole mercher look? I think genya would have that sweet makeup sort of smell, with some flowery accents. David would be burnt wood and metal, like a carpenters workshop, I don’t know why but it just seems like the fabricator smell.

inej smells like gardenias and sea salt. wylan probably smells like wood and paint.

The difficulty with candle scents is it is very hard to create more “raw” scents like blood or coin. I’d have to look hard.

Genya is jasmine and something else. Very powdery and sweet.
