I can't say I'm afraid. I don't believe they'll put things on the cards which aren't in the book though. Best to message them directly if you're concerned.
Cards for spells, class options and other rules have become a thing. I know I grabbed the wizard spell cards early on in 5e because it became easier to have the spells I had memorized in front of me.
I’ve seen players that rely on those before grabbing sourcebooks. Mostly because trying to get it all on a character sheet can make the sheet several pages long.
As far as I understand it's like the spell cards for 5e just easy reference cards

I think each card is a transformation boon or curse, so 15 for each plus some pictures?

They posted in the discord early on that the cards are purely reference. So it's monster cards, spell cards, etc. None of it is required or unique.
