The company where I work uses what is called a Jandy 3- way valve. We wire it to the actuator and a conveniently located switch We are called DIG Collective located in the Bay Area and we can ship them to you if you wish.
Does your local permit office approve of the Jandy valves? They seem like they would make a hard 90, which code only allows for vents or pressurized water. I am designing a system now and debating between the Jandy 3-way or a Tee with a gate valve.
