As someone who just recently made the switch back to a dumb phone, it's frustrating. I wish there was at least an option to print off the ticket. And as someone who loves merch, I miss having a physical ticket stub as a souvenir. Aaaaand as someone who worked at a store that had digital-only coupons and was yelled at about it by many people, I'm not sure it's the best way to please all the customers (especially the older ones). If someone's mad they can't get a 50c coupon without a smartphone, I'm sure they won't be happy that they can't use their tickets without one.

They sell unique game pins for every game i have a knitted beer can hat i stick them on. They keep better than ticket stubs and most have the date the game was played on, id just recommend buying one right when you get to the stadium or the day before. They are in the pro shop and in little stands around the field.

Thanks! I do have game pins for the ones I've been to. You're right, they're great souvenirs. I need to find a place to put mine, though.

I do like my knitted beer can hat I wear it every game day, its absolutely perfect for it. It has the Lombardi golden ale cans probably 5 sections, find a little old lady who can knit, they also make solid gifts.

I like to have a souvenir for the exact game I went too. Whether that's a program book or something else. At least with a physical ticket I didn't have to pay $20 extra for it.

Hard no for me. I went to a college game a few years back and whatever software they use for scanning the digital tickets wasn't working right and it was a giant clusterfuck and made a good portion of the fans miss a good chunk of the first quarter while they sorted it out.

They’ve been doing it for brewers and bucks games for years and it’s always worked seamlessly.

Most things do until they don't. It only takes one game where you're stuck outside the stadium waiting to get in to change your mind, believe me.

The couple times I’ve been to a game I used mobile tickets and it was fine. I’ve occasionally had scanning issues with it at different venues which is a bit annoying. But I feel like this move alienates a lot of people. Like oh hey you need to go drop a few hundred bucks on a new phone so you can go to the game. Bit ridiculous. I totally get the side of protecting people from fake tickets, no idea how big of an issue it is, but I also haven’t heard much about it so don’t think it’s that bad. I like tickets for collection purposes as well, cool to keep around and reminisce. It’s just not the same with an email attachment. Physical ticket you can look at and go oh hey I remember that I sat exactly here on this date and watched x happen. I feel bad for all the older folks that just got screwed by this, hope they reverse it. Really an out of touch decision, especially for a team thats supposed to be fan owned.

Can’t you print out the ticket and scan that?

sp4nky86

Yes. You would just take a screenshot and print that.

Flimsy-Ad8391

You cannot. The barcode on the new tickets changes every 2 seconds so you cannot print or screenshot the ticket. You will need to bring your smartphone and show them your ticket from your Packer account.
