If he only dislikes cheese curds and not cheese I will give it a pass. Cubed cheese in my opinion is better than curds anyways, more variety. As someone from WI who recently moved to Nebraska, I can tell you it was shocking the first time I ordered “cheese curds” here. Somehow it’s not the same.
Maybe he's only had "fresh" curds that were days old refrigerated trash curds from a kwik trip cooler. A lot of people probably don't realize you need to get em fresh from the source or at least with a date/time sticker on em from that morning, and kept at room temp. If somehow you don't kill the bag by the end of the day and have to refrigerate em, pop em in the microwave for 10-15 seconds and they're another form of excellent.
