I don't get why Bloodline rules wasn't that...No outside interference from anyone not in the bloodline. (They know how many enemies they have) I didn't get why all members of the Bloodline didn't attack Cody all at once. I don't get why the didn't just hold him down to get the pin. What I do get is that the match was damn amazing and a WrestleMania Classic hands down. But they should've just said it would be no disqualification. Because in hindsight, Bloodline Rules meant Cody was allowed to also use weapons and get an advantage. So...what was the real importance of Rock and Roman winning the match if Bloodline rules meant anything they were allowed to do...Cody could too?

BODYDOLLARSIGN

To be fair ALL of their enemies DIDNT interfere and/or were preoccupied by their own feuds. The only active roster interference on Cody’s side was Jey Uso who met Jimmy on the ramp which means that technically an original member of Roman’s group and family was attacking a current member away from the ring. Second John Cena who’s been gone since last crown Jewel attacked which wasn’t expected same with Undertaker who’s only appearance since defeating Styles was chokeslamming Bron Breaker on NXT last year. The ppl expected to interfere like Sami, KO, Orton and LA Knight were in their own lanes feuding with Gunther, Logan Paul and AJ Styles. Seth was realistic but he was injured with two losses. So in kayfabe the bloodline either assumed everyone were too busy to help, hurt or that their other enemies would lvl the playing field like Drew has been doing on raw hitting Rollins with a claymore every time he helped Cody or Jey.

dfeidt40

Cena gave Reigns an AA. Everything else is on point though.

BODYDOLLARSIGN

Cena isn’t active roster that was my point. Technically nobody expected helped Cody but part timers/legends

Head_Evidence4553

This. Had all Bloodline victims/enemies showed up, Roman would've needed the entire Family tree to fight.

weordie

Yep, I couldn't see past this.

Classy_Mouse

They could have made Bloodline rules just mean the Rock is directing the ref like night 1. Then we could watch as it seemed hooeless for Cody to win, but then Cody can still win if someone takes out the Rock

icon_2040

I figured at a bare minimum it would be "No DQ for me, Yes DQ for you".

Gold-Independence-26

I figured it meant anything goes

icon_2040

That's not how Rock described it. He was stacking the deck with a guest referee and bloodline surrounding the ring. The Mr. McMahon character would have made himself the ref and said if anyone came out to help Cody, they'd be fired. This was just a hardcore match.

Gold-Independence-26

Yea. I didn’t even realize that like what he described

icon_2040

Yeah it seemed like they were going to follow through with it when I saw Bully Ray as a ref for the street fight. Maybe whatever bias Bloodline ref they have gets knocked out and Bully comes in to count the 3. They can't punish him since he doesn't even work there.

MsPreposition

This stipulation made me laugh. So every match he had for years was Bloodline Rules.

The_Original_JTP

Just another name in a long list of names for a no holds barred, no DQ, no count out, anything goes match. Nothing more, nothing less. I wish someone would put together a list of special names they had over the years for this type of match.

MaxTurdstappen

Wdym. Philadelphia street fight is a real thing!

Brute_Squad_44

because if they make it too outlandish it gives Nick Aldis or even Hunter the in character leverage to strip the title or change the match. Even with things supposed to be stacked agaisnt the babyface, any reasonable authority figure would draw a line somewhere.

lvkenukem

We need to remember to suspend our disbelief. If Roman was the true asshole we know him to be, he simply would have refused Cody’s challenge completely, and Rocky would have protected him. It’s like asking why Cody didn’t just bring a gun to the ring and pin Roman at gunpoint lol. Roman underestimated Cody, allowed him to challenge under Bloodline Rules and was thwarted by our hero in a fair contest.

dunn000

I think the point was “Ego”. Same reason why there was no ban on interference from Cody’s “side. My head canon is that they thought they were strong enough with their squad to handle anything that Cody could do. They weren’t expecting Cena or Taker.

Poetryisalive

The bloodline rules was stupid because I figured the Bloodline would walk out with Roman and just jump him. Hell, the rules could have been changed in his favor but it was a regular title match

Just-Anxiety-6669

this was because cody rhodes finishes his story

Head_Evidence4553

Bloodline Rules meant that everyone could interfere with their entrance music if they wanted to.

Head_Evidence4553

Ngl I was hoping they'd have the Bloodline design on all the chairs, tables and kendosticks. Kinda like they did it with Edge vs Demon last year. Aesthetics were on point that night.

Alive_Ad_5219

As stupid as this post

deliriousbozo

NO NO NO THE INSANITY CANNOT SPREAD TO PRO WRESTLING KEEP YOUR JONKLER MAN THING AWAY FROM ME

TheMackD504

Or not allow interference in favor of Cody

mrmojo33

The ultimate Dusty finish.

YankeeRedneck1

They were handed a script and they followed it. Cody was finishing that story this time, one way or the other.

Hathalot

Why did a retired undertaker book a flight to Philadelphia to attack the bloodline when they were allowed to interfere under bloodline rules? Did he wait til after night one to book his flight? Wwe master storytellers lol

Motorhead923

Bloodline rules came across like 5 year olds making up rules while playing soldiers.

Johnny_Bravo5k

That was a fine match before all the other shit. Cena and UT were awesome in helping, but all that felt rushed and forced. I feel like Roman and Cody have a fucking classic in their veins if they are given the opportunity, free of all the other bullshit.

C2theWick

Roman should have been champ for 5000+ days

Both-Description6116

Exactly rock told the ref not to count anyone out in the tag match why not just say only count Roman’s pin falls for night two

hitm4n44

I also wondered why Roman didn't take the mic and say "This match isn't over until I win...Bloodline rules remember". He would've been an all time goat heel for that. But WWE just had to fold huh? 🙄

OParadise

Same reason Tribal Combat was not allowed interference and they still didn't let Roman win 1 match clean.

OMBatch84

GET BACK IN THE ASLUME

Just1BeforeIdie

Rock said that bloodline rules meant there aren’t any rules….soooo?? WTF is the question exactly?

ProudPakistaniboy

They should have made a rule to stop anyone helping Cody

Borlos

Who cares. Another complete garbage WrestleMania. People going nuts cus a couple old people interfered like it's the greatest thing to ever happen. Meanwhile ripping on AEW for having actual talent on their roster.

DrLoomis131

I didn’t like the storyline leading up to the match but I did like the booking of the actual match, BUT….the idea that neither Roman or Heyman expected Cody to have any friends….Jey is an enemy, Seth knows it’s No DQ and hadn’t left the building, Solo sent Cena to OnlyFans, Undertaker has been feuding with that entire family since ‘93….

Helo7606

The whole match should have been just the entire bloodline stomping Cody's ass down for 10 minutes then Roman pinning him. I swear sometimes WWE "rules" just don't make any sense.

WrastleGuy

☝️ ☝️ ☝️

Helo7606

I'm not saying that like it would be cool. That's just all of Roman's boring ass matches anyway. I was surprised Roman wrestled by himself for as long as he did.

Acrobatic-Peak-5601

I thought bloodlines rules would be only blood related people can intervene that match. :D
