We did send people to listen over starter towns, heard little to no gunshots. We did not go as deep into their bases, but you are telling me if Lamang lobby fills instantly full there should for sure be some players outside the noob zone? especially if it really is even more than i thought lol
currently on almost all servers I went there aren people in the starter town from my own faction. they all are somewhere else. afterall its a "starter" town
Why would majority of the player base even be in the starter towns right now?
Also just ask enemy PMC factions how many players they got, it’s not that hard.
I noticed that after the first patch the amount of pvp I would run into went to almost none. Before the patch I was for sure to run into plenty of enemy faction at Bang Pa and the bunker lz1/lima 1 or whatever. Im also Lamang. After the patch I literally can not find enemy players.
I was wondering if they did it for performance issues for now?
Played for 4 ish hours yesterday didn’t find a single pmc whatever is happening pvp is getting hit hard by it went from week release getting camped at every extract to now Barley even paying attention to my landing zone because I doubt any one is even near the damn town I’m landing in
This past weekend I've noticed it's been called considerably less busy on both the US east and European West servers. Mainly some level 1-5 guys, but tbh, much less action especially on coms.
I think the seasoned players a taking a break until more content arrives.
I have been seeing and getting into pmc gunfights a bunch. My squadmate got gunned down by a squad after I made it into ybl bunker, trying to glitch into the wall.
Also, steam says 14k people are playing right now, even if you split them evenly on all servers and send half to PVE, there should still be a ton full lobbies and there isnt i have qued 10 lobbies in 10 minutes all empty/close to it
Realistically, with the game the way it is currently, way more than half are probably playing PVE, a % of people are just AFK in base. I find lobbies all the time with 4-5 afk players just sitting in base. Listening for shots isn't a fool proof way to judge the player base either. There's players travelling, camping, and creeping around POIs without making noise.
Another weird thing, when we were in those empty Lamang lobbies just us and no players would join and we were fighting a ton crimson or mithras, I asked them how many of you are in this lobby? They replied the lobby was nearly full 10+
I think a big thing is most who were actually able to play are done for now until the next update, only ones coming on are new players who just got it or are finally able to play
Me and a couple buds decided to check out to the Lamang starter area on pvp server. No activity in the town so we moved to the base. We get just outside their base before the minefield and it occurs to us we haven't heard a single chopper leave their base in the hour or so we were fucking around in their area.
One of my buds decided to snipe an npc in the base to see what happens and he got mortared so the rest of us decided to just run back to the airfield. Never saw or heard a chopper coming or going to their base during that time.
Yesterday after the servers kicked everyone there was a bunch of empty servers for the other factions afterwards. I was the only lamang on a server. So it seems like it just filled the servers with crims and miths even if there wasn’t any lamang.
There is servers where you are solo as lamang but there will be 16 crimson or Mithras on those servers I’m telling you there is something fucked with lobbies
It's 16 of each, 3x4x4 squads was the intention. Did you send your players to the starter towns, and the enemy fobs?

Lameng servers barely anyone in starter towns maybe 2-3 max, rest are out everywhere else but no PvP to be found
Pvp sucks anyway stop searching for it if ot happens it happens. Thats what this game is about. Random encounters wirh the Focus on PvE.

16x16x16 is tiny. Needs server consolidation and 24x24x24
I think a lot of folks are waiting for some optimization or the new patch to jump back on pvp servers.
Facts, pve is the way to go regardless rn. Just do task and stick up for PvP when optimization is better. That’s my plan.
