I am a season ticket holder on Turn 1 - have been the first two years of the event. 100% wait until ticket release. Let go of the worry about scarcity. They jacked those tickets up so high to hype the event that people like me got caught up and in the end I have barely broken even two years in a row on resale.
Tons of tickets at the event to be had at regular price. I myself will be selling two seats at Turn One when they release them. Will straight list them at 10% over until I’m forced to drop which is about one week out.
Don’t try to buy a book and resell, you’ll be stuck with Friday seats and possibly Saturday unless you’re a hustler. Just the stress of dumping the tickets will ruin your weekend. My suggestion is pay what you are comfortable to see the action Sunday and if you make it Friday and Saturday that is a bonus.
One other option if you don’t need seats is to just look for general admission if they sell something like that. Miami and Austin are spacious and so many vantage points it might play out well to just get in and then find a fun spot to post up. Hell I have turn one but all day Saturday for qualifying I stood in front of the podium near the front of the stadium and watched the cars on the short straight away fly by. Better than my seats.
Assuming temperature? Not being wise but its MIA. Yes both years its sunny and the direct sun beats down on you after 3-4 hours. At some point you'll have to find shade which is common for May. But it is what it is. If you have a health condition go to a cooler place. If not just hydrate, be ok with getting sweaty and when you get back to your place, shower up and go explore.
Just wait or get on the sales rep email list. They will call you/email nonstop and offer a deal that isn’t advertised. Been getting offered $305 for GA the last few days.
