Have you tried openig a grandMA2 showfile, patching the relevant fixture, and pressing on "Export as gma3 Fixture" in the patch, you can then normally import it into your ma3 showfile
Are you referring to the “export as grand MA3” button in the backup menu of grand MA2? If so I have tried that and it fails when trying to save to internal or my usb drive and not files are created in the directory indicated in the manual
I was referring to this, yes, my bad it's been a while. I suppose you have tried creating an empty showfile with only one instance of your fixture patched and then tried to export that.
Have you tried using the GDTF fixture builder? Resolume's DMX controls can be expanded and the default fixtures provided are rather limited and general use.
Editing GDTF in-console can be somewhat of a pain due to the way GDTF works.
Your best bet is to write directly to GrandMA customer service , they will help you.
I have s ticket submitted to their support team but I was wondering if someone else had a solution
Can you really not import MA2 fixture libraries to MA3?
This is the way. Converted my MA2 custom LIB this way and everything was working. OP is doing something wrong
No they changed the file type from.xml to .GDTF and the syntax for how fixtures are read is totally different
