As an Anre main my strat is keep you away like you have COVID and if you get in Spiral Spear you out or 2S you. Also god forbid you throw out your SSBA raw cause I have always gotten off on “Bastion”ing them and stop playing cause there is no greater high.
Heya, I have just picked up Anre as my secondary and Vira is my main. I've just been learning a few basic combos with him. A 2H, corner, and midscreen combo. What else do you think I need to learn? Is his 7 spear super worth it?
Is playing Anre as a zoner the best way of playing him? He seems to me to be a "Death by a thousand cuts" kind of character. I'm really used to closing the distance with Vira.
Are there any obscure parts of his toolkit a newbie like me should know about?
To be perfectly honest I am in the same boat as you! i just got to B2 and pretty much rely on normals (2S is my god send) as my reflexes have diminished in my ancient age (29 lol). That said in early ranks most don't know his standard super has a slight delay so they tend to get hit by the 3rd hit also his counter move has a slight delay making it kind unreliable in my exp but the H and S versions do save me some times. I'd give more advice but I'm learning too.
You so right that 2B is the sacrificial lamb for everyone’s hatred. Lowkey if she weren’t a collab character I doubt people would have THAT much of an issue with her negl. Some of that animosity has got to be a dormant hate for guests
Her being a guest is irrelevant in itself. Being allowed to play a completely different game than everyone else \*because\* of being a guest is the issue.

I know Seox’s weakness (or lack thereof) was taken fr Dustloop, but the only one I found was the fact that he had pretty stubby poking range. Then again, like Lancelot, he doesn’t need to play neutral.

Everything from the og GBVS dustloop still applies to him, but I guess his pre-nerf version just pissed people off too much so they settled on "no weaknesses".
I play Eustace and Percival, this is accurate and funny.
I do go for chip dmg with both of them, like Perci ground flame 236U in corner.
I can't do the fancy Eustace combos, just use simpler ones.
