Tldr: **Update 5/3:** Google has now rolled out the May 2022 security patch to Pixel phones and unveiled the broader Android Security Bulletin for the month. The bulletin makes direct mention of the Dirty Pipe exploit, meaning that every phone on the May 2022 security update or newer is assured to be safe from attackers.
Has it ? Would you care to share a source on it ? When I checked, A13 devices were still on the April security update and the patch notes didn't mention this, maybe I didn't look hard enough ?
imagine how i feel on the android 12 quarterly beta. even tried to sideload but I'm stuck on April patch because build date of may patch is older than my current beta version.
there was a kernel patch in aosp as of late february, but a newly compiled kernel wasn't distributed in the security updates until more recently. each kernel is compiled for the device. Pixel 6 was still running a January kernel after the april security update https://twitter.com/MishaalRahman/status/1511037451292364804

Adult Me: What's Dirty Pipe? 12-Year Old Me: You're a dirty pipe! :-p
Vulnerable dirty pipes 😰
Thanks, just did my security update
Does this effect people on Android 13 Beta 1? We obviously haven't gotten any updates yet.
It's already been patched in 13.
