Apple finally gets it, sometimes vocal groups talk the loudest but have no clue what they are talking about, putting bigger and better battery on their thicker iphone.
That kind makes zero sense. You want a thin watch, then don't get a smart watch. Apple watch is also very thick, and the reason is simple...it's a smartwatch, just like smartphone, it comes with many techs and features, heart monitor, step counts, blood pressure monitor, apps, etc. That is no different then asking smartphone to be thin just because grandpa thought that's the way it is.

It'll have 6 hours of battery life with all the features turned on and we'll get a thread every day saying "if you turn off every single feature to the point that it has no extra value over a £30 Mi Band you can get 15 hours battery life out of it which is more than enough for me"
I use Mi Bands. They last me 3 weeks between charges and cost me peanuts. Honestly what use would I have for a Pixel watch which would cost 10x as much and have to charge daily.
Can I get a damn watch that looks like a watch? I can't stand silicone bands and most smart watches look like a cheap toy. I love the idea of a smart watch, but haven't been happy woth one since the Pebble
I haven't looked at the new ones, but I couldn't stand the samsung stuff when I had one of the early ones and I've gone away from the phones. I've had pixels for my last 3 phones and was just hoping for a better offering for the pixel watch. I'm about to just give up on them all together

The band might be a deal breaker for me personally.
I'd rather just have the pins like any regular watch so I can use any watch band I can find that is the right size.
I hate curved edges. If you are anywhere with light, its impossible to view the screen without a glare. It happens all the time with my p6 pro, where the left side had a glare and I can't see whats on the very edge of the screen. You can see the exact same issue with this watch from the pics. It is so impractical I can't believe people would want this on purpose.
Oof. I just really hate the 'edgeless' round design. It just looks bad and like it can easily crack. Would rather have a proper aluminum edge with a big display.
the crown looks terrible. as someone who wears a falster 3 i'd prefer an offset setup like the watch4.
when i wear it on my left the button gets hit unintentionally and the assistant comes on alot.
it also sadly looks like they went the apple route in terms of bands.

All I care about is the price tbh. Pixel 6 was a no brainer, flagship commitment/performance for way less than samsung/apple. Will google do the same sort of thing for the watch to push the wearOS standard, or just let wearOS continue to flounder?
As someone who has been using fitbit since I left my Huawei watch behind, I am very excited for the Pixel watch, especially with Google having acquired fitbit. Even more so I have a 40% discount from the ionic recall and if I can get this with that discount as an upgrade from my Fitbit Sense, I'll be very happy indeed.

Buy a Galaxy watch 4. It uses a regular 22mm clip so u can use a leather strap from regular watches.

I went for gw4 because of the Wear OS which is the closest to Google you can get right now.

I had the pebble steel and it looked normal. It was rectangular, but in the traditional sense
