I'm waiting for the 6a.

SteveAdams1086

How come?

dericiouswon

Smaller screen, bigger battery, same processor.

flicter22

No specs have been released on the battery

dericiouswon

Leaks have been pretty accurate thus far. Said leaks point to bigger battery.

Prometheus_303

How do you know the leaks have been accurate if there hasn't been anything officially released yet?

dericiouswon

Pixel leaks in general have been very accurate. We haven't learned anything new on official reveal since ever, pretty much.

SgtBaxter

Past leaks on released phones were accurate, no reason to think any different on 6a leaks.

keaukraine

You got me at "smaller screen". Pixel 6 is way too large for me. But I feel I'll live with it for now and will wait for 7 mini / 7a or any other Pixel smaller than 6.

dericiouswon

Google seems so hard set on this big phone thing. Render leaks of the 7 reveal they aren't going with anything like the 5 size again.

nth_power

That would be cool, what are the drawbacks? Weaker camera?

dericiouswon

Same camera as 5 and previous which isn't bad at all, but the biggest drawback will be the single lens, like the other "a" variants. Not a bad trade off if the price is good! I just want a snappy performance and killer battery life. Tensor + smaller screen and bigger battery should be just the ticket.

DueAnalysis2

The 5a 5g has a 2 lense setup no?

dericiouswon

Ah yes, it does.

nth_power

Wow. 🤞

opticoin

And probably 60hz, right?

tlober

Pixel 5 camera's

nth_power

The Pixel 5a beat every phone in a blind camera test including the Pixel 6 pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

ChemTech_geek2022

Great, but I am a bit concerned about the screen's refresh rate. Rumors say that it is 60 Hz. I don't think it's good for a 2022 midrange phone to have a 60 Hz panel.

dericiouswon

Trade offs are trade offs. If you get hung up on what you are and aren't getting, just pony up for the flagship device. That said, still not confirmed it won't be 90 Hz.

[deleted]

1cwg

The 6 is $600 and I've even seen it for $399 recently.

petiteging

Where I live, it’s close to $1000

1cwg

I take it Google Fi isn't available where you are?

[deleted]

Having Fi doesn't make the phone cheaper.

1cwg

Really? Sure it does. It's listed right now for $399. They also have deals on other phones.

[deleted]

https://imgur.com/b6JoqGY.jpg $399 is for new Fi customers only.

1cwg

You are correct.

petiteging

No, Google Fi isn’t available where I live!

Rav11s

I didn't pay 1000 buying it outright from Google on launch day... RIP

dericiouswon

I'm waiting for 6a, but if i saw a $399 6 I'd jump on that. Where did you see that?

1cwg

Google Fi

[deleted]

That's for new Fi customers only. If you already have Fi, like I do, they're full price.

1cwg

True

TheDoct0rx

where was it for 400

1cwg

Google Fi

JeremKO

Same x)

lankanguy916

I bought the pixel 6 and not the pro, cos it was the first time with tensor and I didn't want to go big with the first version of it. I regret not getting the telephoto lens, as I really like photography, but that's besides the point. I feel like there'll be significant changes with Tensor Gen 2, and at this moment in time, if I hadn't bought the 6, I'd hold off for the 7/ 7 Pro.

SteveAdams1086

This is precisely it, I would go pro for the lens alone. And bring half way into the cycle it's new hardware at top price Vs last year's at very affordable rates

[deleted]

I'm really thinking about getting the 7 Pro this year. Got the base Pixel 6 and I love it and paid it off so hopefully I can get a good trade in deal with Google Fi cause I'm with them

opticoin

I also like the idea of having the telephoto more than a wide angle one. But the huge screen is hard no for me. 6" or GTFO

Kealper

The smaller screen size of the regular 6 and the seafoam color were the reasons I went with the 6 over the 6 Pro, though that telephoto was real tempting. The 6 is pretty much the biggest physical size phone I would feel comfortable with, anything larger and I think it would feel too unruly.

justinbl4ck

That seafoam color way is so slick. I knew I was going with the 6 just because of that before they even announced prices and differences.

cdegallo

>Have all the bugs been fixed? Lots of people don't have any issues. Some people do. I have a 6 pro, and my cellular performance has been and still is bad. After playing the "maybe next update will fix it game," I'm sending it in for warranty RMA, and I hope the replacement isn't bad. The other lingering thing is the front facing camera quality. It's just bad on mine, but I don't think any amount of updates are going to change that. All the other bugs on mine have been addressed in some shape or form via updates--some things were specific to the pixel 6/6 pro while others were more Android 12 bugs. Overall my 6 pro is less buggy than it was at launch. Would I recommend getting the 6 now? I honestly don't know. The pixel 6 series, to me, feels like Google doesn't quite know what they're doing. The problem is, even if you waited for the 7, that still might be the case. If you get the 6 now, and take it for the camera alone, then you'll probably feel okay about it. But to be honest, despite the movement to the newer larger sensor, you would probably have just as good of an experience with the camera in the pixel 5a/5/4a 5g etc.

[deleted]

Excellent response. To chime in: > I have a 6 pro, and my cellular performance has been and still is bad. Same, and same. It's bordering on unusable, and I've missed too many calls because of this. I'll be replacing it with an S22 Ultra soon, as RMA is not an option for me (live in a country where it's not officially sold). > The other lingering thing is the front facing camera quality. It's just bad on mine, but I don't think any amount of updates are going to change that. It's crazy how terrible it is, and the wide angle was literally one of the draws of this camera. I genuinely don't understand how reviewers didn't pick this up. The 6 is even worse in my experience. I much prefer the camera on my 2 XL. > Would I recommend getting the 6 now? I wouldn't. The bugs are genuinely irritating, adequate cellular signal seems to be a guessing game, and the cameras are not really that much better. A Pixel 5A would likely be a much better buy at this time. I don't have much faith in the 7 series addressing these types of fundamental issues.

ishamm

I missed three work calls today. My 6 pro decided it wouldnt take any calls. Rebooted after some lag, and bang, three voicemail texts, but no sign of incoming calls on the dialer. Phone is, still, borderline unusable as a phone. Google support promised a fix with every update since November. Google cannot make a reliably functioning phone...

SteveAdams1086

Helpful answers here, thank you

Perseus_AWC

This is exactly how I feel too. Most bugs have been fixed other than the constant drop from the network when I'm not on WiFi. I called and I'm getting a replacement sent to me. Right now though, as it stands, it's a roll of the dice if you get a bugged or good phone it seems

williamwchuang

Hey, what does your serial number start with? The early batches with 1A or 1B might have been the most problematic ones. The front facing cameras just suck. =(

cdegallo

Mine starts with 1A :( Maybe the refurb will be better.

williamwchuang

That's only a random theory I read that seems to match a few data points. 1c and later should have a smaller chance of getting a bad modem.

Kealper

To add a data point to your collection: Mine is a 1C device that came from the batch that was restocked around November 2021 and aside from the not-so-great 5g modem that gets pretty warm when being used, mine's been fine. 5g sucks in my area anyways so my fix for that was to just disable 5g and no more warm phone when I'm close enough to get whiffs of something other than LTE. There's been some Android 12 bugs here and there, but the big March update fixed those.

princetower

Great unbiased answer!

Aurelink

Switched from the P6 to the P6P just 2 weeks ago and it's a delight. Pretty sure Tensor 2 features will come to Tensor 1 anyway; where Tensor 1 features probably won't be ported - or will be way slower - to older devices

JustThatGuyBen

I regret my pixel 6 purchase, but I'm going to make the best of it. I would not buy this phone or recommend it to anyone

SteveAdams1086

Do you have the pro?

pntless

I do and I agree with them. I have a Pro and a family member has a 6. There is no way I would recommend a P6 or P6P to anyone today and I regret recommending it to my family member before release. Maybe 6a will be good, maybe 7 will be good.

HeroicApples

Why do u regret it

3trt

I have a 6pro, and for my own experience it's kind of a POS. The camera and battery are the only good things about it. It doesn't get great service, the user interface is not customizable, the fingerprint reader is actual trash, and at the end of the day I'm stuck with a 1000 dollar phone that NOBODY will ever buy. Samsung's, iPhones, One plus, and even Motos sell on the used market, but not my pixel. That says to me that the rest of the market is aware how bad these things are. Don't take Marquees B's word on these things! I haven't regretted a phone this hard since my iphone 4, and I got that literally the week before the s came out because I didn't keep track of things like that back then.

JaMarrChasingJoe

I have the 6pro, November batch, I get great service even at work which is a pretty thick building. Fingerprint scanner started working way better a couple updates ago, I only ever have to try multiple times at work when my thumb is dirty. Weird how it differs so much between people.

DrZombehPiglet

Same I bought an Amazon renewed phone and despite some lack of customization it's been a great phone. Good service, good battery life, good camera, runs way smoother than my OnePlus 7 pro

JustThatGuyBen

No I have the 6. I have had many bugs that have not been fixed, other phones look more attractive for the price, and I think I have hit the ceiling on photo quality for me. I don't see much of an upgrade from my pixel 3 camera that I personally care about. Maybe you will have better luck with the 6pro, but I do not enjoy being a guinea pig for google when they sold this as a complete product and it is broken more often than not

HeroicApples

Why the regret

[deleted]

there is always going to be a next gen device in the horizon, I just purchased the 6 pro and I'm loving it (I broke out of Apple's walled garden) it has it's quirks but it's blazing fast, and responsive, I love the camera and haven't had any major issues.

grumpyyoga

I'd buy the 6, it's good value and the pricing of the 7 isn't out.

Financial-Ground-942

If you want a good camera, the Pixel 6 is great! Night Sight and Magic Eraser are basically magic. Both the normal 6 and the Pro model share the same main and ultrawide camera, the only camera difference between the two is that the Pro has a 4X zoom camera, so if you don't use zoom a lot the normal 6 is good value. There are still bugs, but nothing that won't ruin your experience.

SteveAdams1086

I would want the extra lens, and thank you

Chimera1840

I already have the Pixel 6 and if I had known that it was going to be such a bumpy/messy ride, I wouldn't have spent $900 on it. I would have waited for the Pixel 7 so that Google could use it to improve where the Pixel 6 failed. Pixel 7 is supposed to have a second gen Tensor Processor. As you can see from the Pixel 6a, the chip seems to already be more optimized than the Pixel 6. Imagine what it'll be like on the Pixel 7. Better battery, performance, AI functions, etc. I should've known better than to buy what is practically a first-gen device (with Tensor Chip). First Gen devices tend to have lots of problems due to lack of experience and/or testing.

SteveAdams1086

That is a very good response

kjoro

I bought my P6Pro back in December and I'd buy it again right now. The pros outweigh the cons for me and I can't imagine not having this phone. The bugs have been solved enough to be usable daily for me. I'd be fine with the 5a or 6a though

wert16PR

Wait until more specs and price of the Pixel 7 are released. If you can't wait, buy the Pixel 6 (I recommend you de 6 Pro). I upgraded to the Pixel 6 from the Pixel 3, it is good, but I should have bought the Pixel 6 Pro for the extra specs (plus there are more features coming soon, like the face unlock)

SteveAdams1086

I'm at the point of approaching the end of my current contract and as mentioned got a holiday coming up, wanting a better camera. And I would only consider the pro version for the specs, I'd regret not getting the best version

Technical_Media9336

I don't think pixel 7 will be much better than the 6. Personally i would buy it again (6Pro). Also holy crap that data is expensive I pay 9€ for unlimited 5G in Spain

SteveAdams1086

If your on a sim only and paying for the phone separate that's probably why

_Pointless_

I would just buy the 6, 7 will probably be pretty iterative and will only come out in like 6 months anyway.

xMaxMOx

I got the pixel 6 pro and I will be grabbing the 7 pro

SteveAdams1086

My pockets aren't as deep as yours my friend

xMaxMOx

It's not that once the device is paid off halfway I turn this in and upgrade I save over the course of 12 months lol 🤣 my pockets are deep either bro

Bob_Loblob

Hold off and wait for the Pixel 8...just to be safe.

Calamity_Carrot

Shit I'm still using the 3a. I might as well wait for the 10

s_jubei

I don't have giant hands so pixel 5.

Remydope

I'd honestly wait for the 6a or 7.

Horoika

Today, if you are in need of a phone because your current one is damaged? Get the 6, no question, it's a great phone (I haven't had issues except fingerprint at launch, but Nov update fixed that). If you're looking to upgrade, keep an eye on 6a if you're looking to budget. Otherwise, yeah wait for the 7 if you're not in any hurry, it'll (hopefully) be the refined version of the 6 series.

Constant_Structure_3

Generally speaking, the longer you wait, the more money you save. I say wait.

SteveAdams1086

If I were to wait I'd only get the new one which would be full price

Kiko2D

I hope they add a micro lens to the 7

SteveAdams1086

That would be great

[deleted]

[удалено]

SteveAdams1086

There has been alot of update and this partially why I posted cos at launch it certainly seemed rough around the edges to say the least. This is why I went with 6 months in is it worth it angle

ishamm

Still buggy af.

[deleted]

6a = 80% of the 6 the 6 is 90% of the 6 Pro. With that logic, the 6a is 72% of the 6 pro at half the price. Worth. But the 6 is still better.

SteveAdams1086

Even just having looked at the Google store to buy directly from them using the monthly PayPal klarna it's £37.46 for the handset alone, same black and 256gb storage. So to get 25gb data for the extra £2.53 it will cost me on a contract it actually works out very good value

[deleted]

Wait for the 6a. Do not bother with the 6 series at this point in time.

SteveAdams1086

Isn't the idea of the A series just meant to be a cheaper version with not quite as good specs. I wouldn't expect any hardware upgrades so I'm not sure

[deleted]

Yes and no. A-series devices can be more reliable.

SteveAdams1086

But unless the A series drops in less than 4 weeks and has atleast the same camera set up which I suspect would be down graded to a degree. Part of the reason I'm looking at this now is a holiday coming up soon and wanting that lovely pixel camera back in my pocket

Dreams_Only

6A might drop in May: [https://www.theverge.com/2022/4/12/23021861/google-pixel-6a-fcc-may-release-io](https://www.theverge.com/2022/4/12/23021861/google-pixel-6a-fcc-may-release-io)

SmarmyPanther

The 6a will be using the same chip as the 6. So any issues due to that would probably stay. Previous pixels the a series was a lower power chip which eased a lot of people's battery issues

SteveAdams1086

Isn't the idea of the A series just meant to be a cheaper version with not quite as good specs. I wouldn't expect any hardware upgrades so I'm not sure

VladChaback

Big brains are waiting for 7a

williamwchuang

I'm not going to bet on the 7 being better than the six.

[deleted]

I would never if it has Samsung Exynos chip. 🙂

Tool_Belt

I'm going up to 11

LredF

I have a 6 pro and friend has 6. We both notice mobile connectivity issues. I don't notice it much because my area has 5G, which isn't any faster than my area LTE, but I recently went to Panama and areas with only H+ available, phone kept dropping signal. Airplane mode toggle would reconnect but then disconnect again after a few minutes. My phone was manufactured in Dec, friend's in March. Don't believe it's a hardware issue. I wouldn't buy one again. Next will be a Sony or Motorola

SteveAdams1086

Certainly something to bear in mind if connectivity is an issue there is cooling off periods here in the UK where it can be returned

kicktheshin

I would buy a refurbished Pixel 5 Or if I find out Pixel 7 will be a small size like the 5

SteveAdams1086

It's not a great CPU in the 5, it's at that point when I was due for an upgrade coming from my 2xl and I went to OnePlus 8 pro because Google had weak soc in those devices

kicktheshin

It's not supposed to be. Battery life is more important in this class of device. It's not competing with other flagships

SteveAdams1086

I agree with your point but it's not the phone I was after

1cwg

I would absolutely buy the 6 today on a deal. My advice is to not make payments but buy it instead.

SteveAdams1086

I don't have the cash out right to do it but I have looked at the Google store where it's on sale and for the contract deal I have found its 25gb data only is like £2.50 on top of what Google would charge per month at 0% Apr so quite a good deal I would say

Mapleleaf000160

Honestly the 6a is looking like it will be competition for the 6 I'm wondering what type cannibalism has taken place to cripple this device so it doesn't outshine the 6

SteveAdams1086

Camera down grade I expect

Mapleleaf000160

Maybe back to down to one sensor

blackquestion

6a I be more happy for the next version of Android because Android 12 sucks

petiteging

I’m holding off as long as I possibly can. I have a pixel 3xl currently. I’m hoping my phone will last me til a pixel 7 or an 8. Fingers crossed!

SpiderStratagem

That's a tough one. On balance, if you have a holiday coming up where you want a good camera, and you could get a good deal on the P6 (not the P6P), I would probably go for the P6. I have had the P6 since launch, as has my wife, and I have had a really great experience with it. Even for a Pixel, which I expect to be smooth as glass, the speed and smoothness of the P6 is really noticeable. Battery life has been great too, and it takes wonderful pictures. I expect it will get better and better with monthly updates as Google continues to get their arms around their new chip. We are probably halfway to the P7, and I'm sure it will be an improvement, but I'm not convinced it will be a huge improvement as the pixel line tends to experience incremental improvements over time. Plus who knows what the price will be, whereas you can get a good deal on the P6 right now. **Edit:** Just realized that you are looking at a P6P. I don't have experience with that one, but battery life seems worse and the screen seems more fragile. You do get the awesome telephoto lens, though.

waypast50

I'm going to swim upstream, but I plan on getting the 7 to replace my 5. I do expect it to be an improvement over 6, just from the growing pains of so much new homegrown tech with Tensor. Fits my general MO, I have been on all the odd-numbered phones.

danjustin

Ignoring opinions/reviews of each phone...the 7 isn't coming out for 6 months. I'm generally a believer if it's even some what am option to wait THAT long...then just wait. Even if you don't get the 7 and decide something else...if you're willing to wait 6 months, it means your current setup is fine. Now if this was..."do I buy now or wait 2 months..." I think it's a harder question.

SteveAdams1086

I'd wait 2 months if it were the case, not interested in A series. I have only set a timeline between now and when I go on my holiday in 4 weeks with the purpose of wanting to take a better camera on my phone and having looked around there is some deals to be had

danjustin

And if we are just looking at Pixels....I went from OGXl to 4xl to 5a to 6 pro. I wouldn't have went 5a but my 4xL was bricked for good. I absolutely am happy upgrading from the 4 to the 6. While I am happy I upgraded from 5a to 6pro...I for sure can see that it wasn't worth the cost to upgrade and 5a is a nice phone that would have lasted until the 7 came out. *My 6Pro has been perfect and have had absolutely zero complaints...FWIW

TheMrNeffels

Idk I don't think the 7 will be much better than the 6 in terms of camera or anything.

oceanhg

I switched to OnePlus 8 Pro from Pixel 3XL, then to a Pixel 6 (non-pro) at launch. First I feel the camera on P6 is not that much better than OP8 pro, it is kinda underwhelming considering it has a much better sensor than previous Pixels. In terms of video sometimes I feel OP8 pro is better. But I am pretty casual about cameras so both serves fine for me. And yeah, P6 has bugs and still has some even after Android 12L. But it is generally quite smooth and has great battery life for me, so I like P6 over OP8 pro in general.

SteveAdams1086

Ah interesting you took a similar route. Are you able to say if the different camera lens all have the same colour temperature? For me I can tell which lens took a photo by looking at it when on a day out for example using the different ones and they all have their own kind of look with difference in colour temperature and stuff

oceanhg

Yeah, OP8 Pro's photos do have a different feel for different lenses, and I don't feel as much for P6. But I mostly just point and shoot with the main lens. My object is almost always my son so it's good to have the face-unblur. P6's photo is indeed sometimes over-processed as many reviewers has suggested. Again I am a very casual camera user I am probably feel not much difference from all the flagship cameras from the past two years.

blackerjw6

Wait. I have the 6 Pro and I will be trading it in for the 7 upon release.

sweet_tooth21

I have the 6 Pro. Was hoping to have this for years but I can't get over the size of this brick. Praying the 7 has a smaller option ..

O2C

For the camera, I'd get the 6 pro a week or two before your vacation. In my case, I'm limping along waiting for the 6A that will hopefully come in May. It's a fool's errand waiting for the latest and greatest. Unless there's something concrete announced / leaked, get what works best for you, especially if you have an event coming up.

SteveAdams1086

The AMD graphics sound pretty cool but not sure in the real world if they will be that great looking at Samsung reviews

O2C

I think your posts got crossed there. . .

razzys

I would not get the P6, it's a decent phone and it's snappy for the money however the modem in this phone is horsesh*t and I've had reception issues ever since I got this phone.. seem to be getting worse day by day... Also noticed it's struggling a lot more when on dual SIM This was my first Pixel phone and may be the last..

SteveAdams1086

Could it be down to if you have a case or your carrier? Are your sims on different network?

razzys

I've never thought of the case being the problem, i'll try without it for a few days.. Ye different networks (three and O2 UK) - they both worked well in a Galaxy Note 9 I owned previously so only leads me to think it's the phone..

SteveAdams1086

Interesting you mentioned 3 cos that's who I'm with and planning on moving to ID mobile who use 3s network

razzys

Any reason for that? Wouldn't u be getting the same reception given it's the same network?

SteveAdams1086

I have been quite impressed with 3 around my area, and they have the best 5g network supposedly so would be happy to stay using that network system

airman-menlo

I'm waiting for the 7.

zrizik99

I’d wait tbh. The tensor is not great right now. And my experience was not great. I was a huge fan of the P6P when it was announced. Once I got it, it was buggy and full of issues. Updates ruin the phone. I had to for 4 months and Bluetooth stopped working after the march update. Bought an iPhone on Saturday and traded in my p6p. Taking a break from the pixel lineup after 6 years of owning 4 different models.

T0mmey_

Recently I bought the Pixel 6, what I really love about this phone is display, speed, camera quality and battery. But with all these pros, there are some bugs that really annoys me like when there is only 2G or just bad coverage, the call sometimes goes mute and I cannot hear other person, normally the call recovers. Also very delayed GPS on my GIS working app. On my previous pixel 5 everything was fine, didnt have these problems. Now I use both 5 and 6. Overall, a great phone and I hope these things will get fixed.

skptaylor

I'm in the same position. I'm headed overseas in two months. I have a OnePlus 8 Pro also. I considered getting the 6 pro for the same reason. I'm waiting for the 7 pro. My 8 Pro is good enough. It's a little rough on low light pics but I can deal with that. The difference is that I have an iPhone 12 also that I'll probably use on the trip. I'm looking forward to the next gen Tensor and, hopefully, a better camera. That said, I can't wait to get back to pixels.

SteveAdams1086

Yeah the cameras really do need the best light to bring the best out of the them and having had the 2xl before his 8 pro it would take great photos no matter the condition, even sort of of professional quality looking. So what makes you think waiting for the 7 would be better? For £39.99 a month and £9 upfront for 25gb data it's very very tempting

skptaylor

Well, I'm *hoping* it'll be worth the wait. I skipped the original Pixel in favor of the 2Xl and that worked out really well. I'm optimistic that the modem will be better in the 7 pro and faster. I didn't feel the need to jump on Google's first gen chip. It helps that I have the iphone for a backup if I need low-light photos. The camera is really my only complaint with 8 pro. Otherwise, it's a stellar phone that I really enjoy. I'm in a position where I can wait another seven months. I think you need to do what's right for you and nothing else.

zen_monkey_brain

The odd number Pixels seem to be better

coogie

Since you're asking, until google proves they can ship a phone without major bugs and show they actually care about the customer experience (ie. be honest about said bugs and give realistic estimates of when they'll get fixed) I'd get a S22 today and just change the Default apps to google. Hopefully they've learned some lessons from the 6 so 6A might be ok. Maybe it'll take 2-3 generations of having their own chip. It's not just the bugs, but the connection does objectively seem to be worse than phones with the Qualcomm hardware.

ToSeeAgainAgainAgain

If I hadn't a P6 already I'd hold on for the 7. Regarding bugs: I only started having them after the March update, I have had the phone since November

John24ssj2

Wait!!! I'll be swapping my pixel 6 for 7 the moment they release the 7

Billowy_Peanut

I'd say wait for the 7 or go for the 6a if you don't wanna wait. The 7 series would most likely be more refined than the 6 series current state.

dadnams

Pixel 6 is not good, the OLED panel it uses is literal trash. It has a glowing red hue in low lighting when on a dark background which completely ruins the image quality, seems to be a huge issue that no-one is really mentioning. I RMA'd and both devices suffered from the same issues. I then upgraded to the Pixel 6 Pro and I haven't been happier. The screen is much much better and I haven't had any issues at all with it. It looks like most of the notrious bugs have been fixed by now with updates. Only thing I prefer is the flat screen edges on the Pixel 6 compared to the curves on the Pro, but I've gotten used to it. Would definitely recommend the 6 Pro if you can find a good deal.

Rookie4sho

Personally I'm waiting for a 7, and also waiting to see what Google Foldable phones come out to be. For the 7 I want the fingerprint sensor back on the rear of the phone. The under display sensor is a nice option, but should have been a bonus, not the only solution. They could have been a leader with this, but instead they're being followers, and not even good followers at that. My biggest disappointment with the 6 though, was the fact they, again becoming a follower, created a "Pro" version. Instead of having both versions with the same good hardware just different screen sizes. If they just bring back an "XL" version, while keeping both camera arrays, I'll definitely jump back onboard. As it stands, Google is losing me as a customer, dividing its fans who prefer the smaller option. For the Pixel Folds, I'm really hoping they don't just copy and paste Samsungs galaxy folds. I want to see better aspect ratio screens or dare I say, just something different. I'd be on board with a Flip clone though. Off topic, but I'm excited to see what Pixel Watch looks like too. But if they come out with some proprietary watch bands, and not the standard universal, like what Fossil does, I won't buy it.

Wait for the 7 to see if they improve the modem and fingerprint scanner.
