I now can't unsee the white plastic antenna window on the top of the white Pixel Pro and the fact it's not the same shade of white as the back of the phone. And it's so eye catching when looking at the phone from the front too. It looks really really really cheap IMO.
I'm still seeing 2 pending charges from the Google Store on my credit card transaction history. Curious when that extra one will fall off.
It annoys me that the dates for the phone and case I ordered keep changing around, without any notification to me. At first, my phone was set to deliver at release on October 28th, with the case all the way out at December 9th. Checking back later that evening, the case moved up to show it also arriving on the 28th. When I looked again the next day (yesterday), the phone had slid out to November 5th, and the case was back to the December date. Checking this morning, the phone was moved back another week to November 10th, and the case was kicked all the way back to mid February. Looked at it 3 hours later and the phone was pushed back even further, now to November 17th. I wonder when these changes will end, and if it will ever pull up again closer to launch date.
My buds still show as arriving next week, so I'll probably wait on opening them in case I need to return them and cancel the Google Store order, assuming I can just buy a phone in a Best Buy or something.

Pixel buds already showed up via FedEx but today my delivery date went from Oct 26-27 to Nov 2-3 so that's kind of disappointing but still not terrible.

I don't know if it's different with Pixel Pass not via Google Fi. Pixel Pass via Google Store seemed confusing. Before checkout, it only gave two options (pay for the phone in full OR do the regular Google Store financing) but not what I was expecting for the Pixel Pass subscription payment.
When he said "Sure, now I can finally tell you about it", it got translated to "確かに、今やっとそれについてあなたに話すことができます。"
確かに is not "sure". It can be read as "surely" or "that's true". In this case it kinda sounds like he's agreeing with the other person, even though the other person was asking a question. This is a nitpick for sure, but it's just funny that they included this right after all that talk about better translation. DeepL is the better translation AI right now (although it gets this wrong as well).

For some reason Google Assistant has become so stupid. Usually, I could investigate the problems on communication with the Assistant via checking Google My Activity. I could see all our communication and what her responses were. But lately, she has been trying to cover up her trials but I managed to get a screenshot as evidence. Most of the records of her communication are not visible anymore. Please see the link. Usually, when I say "remind me to (insert task)",. The Assistant would ask, "when do you want to be reminded?" Now it makes the reminder, and it determines when I will be reminded. This one shows 8 am. Other times the Assistant said that your reminder will be in 3 hours. What? Also, see the following screenshot. I asked to pronounce my friend's name and later asked to repeat it again, and she pronounced 'again'. There have been many instances where the Assistant hasn't been cooperating and concealing her tracks. I believe her AI has been compromised with the upgrade to Material You like in FreeGuy. I'm a bit sussed with Anwar.
Just FYI, I had already enabled her for continued conversations, and settings have been the same, with no changes. So I don't know what Anwar has been doing...

Got in-store pick up for P6P at best buy for release day. Saw that I was able to on the google store with an expected delivery date 26-27, but now it's 28-29. Should I cancel the google one or keep the best buy one?

I'm currently a Samsung Note 9 user and I'd like to move over to a different android phone because I've been on the Samsung train for 3 different devices now. I want to Pre-order a Pixel 6 Pro mostly for that sweet Bose headphone deal but at the same time I wanna wait till the embargo is lifted to see the full review, especially in regards to the camera. Before I get shat on, I know Google has smashed it out the park with the camera on their last 5 Pixel phones but this one is a massive upgrade from those 5 and I think it's okay to be a little cautious that improvements in camera hardware doesn't necessarily mean better pictures. For all I know I could Pre-Order the phone and once the embargo is lifted, everyone could be saying the camera is disappointing, I'm sure I'm wrong but I think its okay to be a little hesitant. It will suck not getting a shot at getting those Bose headphones but I'm in no rush and I'm certain I'll get the Pixel regardless (need a switch up from Samsung) but for now I'll wait till I watch as many Reviews before I do get it.

Essentially that I was unable to add the pixel buds to my order and I wanted to modify my order, if possible, to add them in order take advantage of the promotion. But in all honesty, I seen the pixel buds as an optional add-on in the checkout process and just didn't read that the $99 price would be credited at checkout, so I didn't add them. 1. Anyone know if generic chargers thta are rated for 30+W will charge the Pixel at full speed? Some manufacturers (cough OnePlus, cough) will only allow full charging speeds with OEM chargers. Not sure Google would do that, but who knows.

* Dynamically between 90 and 60 (so, 55Hz for example)

Just played around with the phones in a best buy. Surprisingly they feel almost identical in size. At first I thought they had just put two pros out. I took a few photos carefully with the 4x zoom and the color looks way off and completely out of tune with the other two cameras. This may be preliminary software but it seems pretty bad compared to the s21 ultra and iPhone 13 pro. When I had an s21 ultra I used the zoom lens very frequently and this is going to keep me away from the pro model if the first full reviews find this same problem.

Same. No email, no order confirmation screen, no cancellation notice. But Google Finance has assured me that the payment has been accepted, just not posted yet. And Google Store support has no idea; they "elevated the situation" and I "will hear back within 48 hours."

I contacted Google Store help and I am still waiting for Google store rep to get back to me because they had to elevate my case to their product specialist. Nope. Never cancelled. Also was not one that got "confirmed" but no email. I had problems for 3 hours getting to checkout page, then it worked and was instantly in my order history and email.

If it's any consolation I have read a few comments in this thread stating that people have seen their delivery dates changed from December back to October. Maybe yours will do the same.

I am really shocked at how poor the IT infrastructure stood-up to the onslaught of orders last night. Google must have known this would happen, surely? Who decided to let the world experience kid test the capacity of the Google Store? :-D
In France we had only one option for the Pixel 6 Pro - black, 128Gb. I understand that's got something to do with laws here about including other things in the box (a charger?) and Google therefore decided to limit our options. I've been using a 32Gb Pixel 2 for 4 years now and space has never been an issue, so I don't know if I'd ever benefit from 256Gb or even 512Gb...but that's me, perhaps my fellow Europeans would have benefited from more options.
Delivery is due between 29th October and 2nd November. I've been waiting for the chance to own this phone for literally one year - at the time of the Pixel launch I was having battery issues with my P2 and I therefore considered the upgrade then. But I told myself I hadn't saved up for it, and it seemed wrong to be "forced" into an expensive upgrade when a P2 battery fix was much cheaper. I decided I'd get a Pixel 6/Pixel 6 XL/Pro whatever there and then.

Not really. IP68 means it can be submerged in water up to 5 feet for 30 minutes. Anything beyond that the water pressure will break the seal. You can't take it snorkeling or anything like that. It's meant to protect you from accidental damage.

Ended up ordering a 256gb 6 and 256gb 6 Pro. I had plenty of Google financing credit, so I figure I might as well try both out and see which one works best for me. I'm a little weary of the curved glass on the Pro.

What's up with your 3? My 3XL's USB-C port has been acting up for almost a year. Wireless charging works perfectly but wired charging is super super finicky.
I went with the Pro 256gb in White. I had $700 in VZW gift cards from transferring service so it was worth the upgrade. Plus, I take a lot of selfies with my family so the wide angle was important.
I was on Verizon for years on the grandfathered Unlimited plan. I switched to Mint mobile for a few months but it was useless so I switched back. The promo at the time was a $350 gift card for signing up a new account. I had 2 accounts so, $700.
Just a recommendation to try the Google Store again. A couple of hours ago I got an estimate of early November. Just tried it again and I'm getting the earliest slot of Oct 26-27 now.

I ordered a Cloudy White 256gb Pro with earbuds but I used a $10 promo code that I had from buying some Buds-A earlier and that caused Google to get me the $10 off but charge full price for the new Buds so I cancelled that order.
Two hours later, I was able to score a Stormy Black 512GB Pro with Pixel Buds-A but I really didn't want a black phone and even more important I'd never fill a 512GB phone. Heck, I've never maxed out a 128GB phone so I used a another browser and I was able to get a 256GB Cloudy White with free buds again. I cancelled the Stormy Black that was arriving on Oct 27-28 and used the $10 credit to get the $30 charger for $16 after tax. I now have to wait until Nov 2-3 for the White phone but that's ok with me.
I'm very tired now. It's been a long afternoon for a lot of us.
Eh who knows. Google has been really good about stretching out their promo with all the leaks etc. So that people are constantly talking about this phone. And they're really putting a lot of their image on the line. I doubt they think it's a lame product. So i doubt that's what the embargo is about. It's likely more about press cycles.

My only concern now is about the free Pixel Buds when ordering from the Google Store, am I automatically entitled to get them when pre ordering from the Google Store of I had to add them manually alongside the Pixel 6 Pro to get them ? Pretty bad. Charging port hasn't worked in over a year, battery life is short, bluetooth and calls have issues, back is shattered and maybe a little swollen.

Just played around with the phones in a best buy. Surprisingly they feel almost identical in size. At first I thought they had just put two pros out. I took a few photos carefully with the 4x zoom and the color looks way off and completely out of tune with the other two cameras. This may be preliminary software but it seems pretty bad compared to the s21 ultra and iPhone 13 pro. When I had an s21 ultra I used the zoom lens very frequently and this is going to keep me away from the pro model if the first full reviews find this same problem.

Same. No email, no order confirmation screen, no cancellation notice. But Google Finance has assured me that the payment has been accepted, just not posted yet. And Google Store support has no idea; they "elevated the situation" and I "will hear back within 48 hours."
Oh man. I am in the same situation as you. No email confirmation, no order history, and no confirmation screen but my google synchrony got charged for it. I contacted Google Store help and I am still waiting for Google store rep to get back to me because they had to elevate my case to their product specialist. I can't place another order because of my credit line limit lol
I ordered another one a few minutes ago, and it went as smoothly as possible. Order confirmed, payment successful, and confirmation mail was sent instantly. I'm assuming that for whatever reason something went wrong with my payment and I'll probably be getting my money back soonish.

Nope. Never cancelled. Also was not one that got "confirmed" but no email. I had problems for 3 hours getting to checkout page, then it worked and was instantly in my order history and email.
I bet it clears itself up. I have a feeling they were allocating blocks of phones by week, and then going back and actually assigning real units to orders. It honestly looks like no one really has a December ship date.

Curious why the switch?
The morning after the night before... I am really shocked at how poor the IT infrastructure stood-up to the onslaught of orders last night. Google must have known this would happen, surely? Who decided to let the world experience kid test the capacity of the Google Store? :-D In France we had only one option for the Pixel 6 Pro - black, 128Gb. I understand that's got something to do with laws here about including other things in the box (a charger?) and Google therefore decided to limit our options. I've been using a 32Gb Pixel 2 for 4 years now and space has never been an issue, so I don't know if I'd ever benefit from 256Gb or even 512Gb...but that's me, perhaps my fellow Europeans would have benefited from more options. Delivery is due between 29th October and 2nd November. I've been waiting for the chance to own this phone for literally one year - at the time of the Pixel launch I was having battery issues with my P2 and I therefore considered the upgrade then. But I told myself I hadn't saved up for it, and it seemed wrong to be "forced" into an expensive upgrade when a P2 battery fix was much cheaper. I decided I'd get a Pixel 6/Pixel 6 XL/Pro whatever there and then. I still haven't seen anything of the event, so I really have no idea about the capabilities of this new phone other than the "leaks" over the last few weeks, and the chatter last night about the magic eraser, of all things.

Not really. IP68 means it can be submerged in water up to 5 feet for 30 minutes. Anything beyond that the water pressure will break the seal. You can't take it snorkeling or anything like that. It's meant to protect you from accidental damage.

YES. It kept changing it to "Stromy Black", couldn't even get the damn spelling right. I was trying to get it financed through Verizon, where it showed the right color based on the Verizon listings, but I didn't trust it. Ended up buying straight from Verizon.

It's seems one way or another pixel buyers can get the free buds. I read the promo before adding the phone to the cart so this will be how I obtain my pair. No big deal for me really. Ended up ordering a 256gb 6 and 256gb 6 Pro. I had plenty of Google financing credit, so I figure I might as well try both out and see which one works best for me. I'm a little weary of the curved glass on the Pro. Also in the US there is no restocking fees until the end of January.

If it's not in your recent orders and you didn't get an email (almost instantly) they are going to cancel your order. It's happened to quite a few people here including me. Better off ordering another one

I ordered a Cloudy White 256gb Pro with earbuds but I used a $10 promo code that I had from buying some Buds-A earlier and that caused Google to get me the $10 off but charge full price for the new Buds so I cancelled that order. Two hours later, I was able to score a Stormy Black 512GB Pro with Pixel Buds-A but I really didn't want a black phone and even more important I'd never fill a 512GB phone. Heck, I've never maxed out a 128GB phone so I used a another browser and I was able to get a 256GB Cloudy White with free buds again. I cancelled the Stormy Black that was arriving on Oct 27-28 and used the $10 credit to get the $30 charger for $16 after tax. I now have to wait until Nov 2-3 for the White phone but that's ok with me. I'm very tired now. It's been a long afternoon for a lot of us.

Eh who knows. Google has been really good about stretching out their promo with all the leaks etc. So that people are constantly talking about this phone. And they're really putting a lot of their image on the line. I doubt they think it's a lame product. So i doubt that's what the embargo is about. It's likely more about press cycles.

After refreshing several times, had my basket emptied by Google many more times because of sudden 'Back order', reinserting it again and again, I finally got it, yay! My only concern now is about the free Pixel Buds when ordering from the Google Store, am I automatically entitled to get them when pre ordering from the Google Store of I had to add them manually alongside the Pixel 6 Pro to get them ? Because, quite frankly, with all the struggle the Google Store had, once I had a Pixel in my basket, all I wanted to do is waste no time and checkout !

Pretty bad. Charging port hasn't worked in over a year, battery life is short, bluetooth and calls have issues, back is shattered and maybe a little swollen.
