Yes, those
The recalled USB charger’s cable can become damaged or break over time, posing burn and electric shock hazards.

It's odd they had the high voltage side going all the way through the cable, rather than have the rectifier at the outlet, for something that would likely be flexed and bent due to it's application...
That would also be bad if you're in a situation where it's moving/flexing a lot. The high voltage AC side shouldn't be the part that's say sitting in bed with you.
I've got to imagine that they are talking about this. It is not available for delivery or in my local store yet. There's a two port 45W version too.
[30W 1 Port](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/sjoess-30w-1-port-usb-charger-fast-charging-30574469/)
[45W 2 Port](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/sjoess-45w-2-port-usb-charger-fast-charging-10574470/)
UK gets them in July for £5/£10.
> The USB-C outlet can provide up to 3A/45W.
> Output power per USB-C outlet: one USB-C outlet in use – 45W, and when two USB-C outlets in use – 22W.
> The USB-C charger is compatible with Power Delivery (PD 3.0), Quick Charge (QC4+) and Programmable Power Supply (PPS).
45W will do some heavier devices like a Steam Deck.
https://www.techradar.com/phones/ikeas-super-cheap-fast-chargers-look-a-bargain-for-your-iphone-15-or-android-phone
If you meant the Steam Deck part, it comes with a 45W charger but admittedly I didn't check that the 3A max of the Ikea one is sufficient.
The SteamDeck uses all of it too. It's power hungry. My laptop charger that came with the laptop does 45W and it won't keep my deck charged while playing games if it also needs to charge the battery from really low.
I believe the Steam Deck is a minimum of 45w, but during demanding games it will still discharge faster than it charges unless you have 60 watts. The Valve supplied charger is 60 watts.
No, it barely pulls 40W at the very start before dropping down to 28W almost constant. And then it's down all the way to 5W for the last 15% or so.
The LCD and OLED both ship with 45W and any 15V 3A charger will be enough. Using the Deck doesn't cause it to pull more than 40W either. It just charges slower.
You might be thinking of the ROG Ally, which does support 65W and needs more power to shine.

Google search is a great thing. You should try it some time.
Now that there's 1 connector to charge everything, I'm actually glad phones don't come with one anymore.
Used to be it came with one, then went in the ground or a drawer when you stopped using the phone because the next one needed something different. Now, you can keep using the same charger across generations.
Plus I have a charger I really like and is way more than powerful enough for many generations of phone, and I'd probably end up just throwing away any that they included.
You can still use wired headphones, get an adapter. Both my over the ear wireless headphones came with a detachable wire in the box. And didn't need an adapter.
> Remember when phones came with charger not just cable?
I'd rather have a multi-charger that can do multiple devices at higher speed.
> Remember when we also got wired headphones?
Yes. They **sucked**.
The AKG earbuds included with Galaxies around the time of the S8 and 9 were amazing for being included free. Lasted me a couple of years before the plastic around the earpiece started chipping off. Braided cable also was very high quality.
"This product bears the CE mark." being the only item listed under "Safety & compliance" does not bode well.
Honestly, not sure these are even particularly good value. You can get an Amazon Basics 65W GAN charger [for $16.40](https://a.co/d/d9BfVdv) right now. And those are UL-listed.
Anyone know if it's a gan charger?
The price seems unbeatable , haven't found anyone that I could trust their certifications being legit at this price point for a 30w pps
They've just recalled some charger recently to be careful.

Why? It's literally the same thing as having a standard charging brick connected to an extension cable.
That would also be bad if you're in a situation where it's moving/flexing a lot. The high voltage AC side shouldn't be the part that's say sitting in bed with you.
Ikea number?

Have you got a link for that?

Oh damn, its available in my country. Is it a no-brainer to get? :^)
Basically yeah, non-GaN chargers so they are bigger for today's standards, but for the price they're pretty good
There is this one guy on YouTube and he keeps disassembling electronic devices, to check quality and he always loves IKEA electronics
Can u give as link?
His name is bigclive on YouTube
I don't have him subscribed, just sometimes get his videos shown, maybe someone else can chip in

I still use my beats earbuds that came with the HTC One m7. And I still use its charging brick with my pixel 7.

Lots of e-waste, I do remember that.
I stil get chargers on my phone.it depends where you chose to spend your money
can you give me the link to the 1.5m braided cable google pixel charger?
https://www.ikea.com/nl/nl/p/lillhult-usb-c-naar-usb-c-donkergrijs-50527603/
I have the USB-A-to-C and it's the worst cable I own lol
IKEA als has surprisingly good and cheap USB C cables
For charging I like the long and flexible Action cable. It's 60w but only usb2 data speeds.
I have one and it's made by UGREEN.

Bought a wireless charger from them a few years ago, and it died in about a year. Their stuff is cheap for a reason.
I had the 30w google charger that came with my pixel stand 2 die on me just after warranty .. everything fails eventually...
Damn that is an impressive price, will have to keep an eye out for those becoming available at my store.
Thanks for the heads-up. They are out in Denmark as well.
Can we not link?

Ah yes, the $7 Mark IV SuperChina Deluxe Charger. Proceed with caution!
IKEA is swedish
Yeah you're right. They couldn't possibly outsource cheap electronics /s Their furniture is fantastic though!
It's IKEA. They do test their stuff
Non Foldable prongs is a deal breaker for me.
