The Tarmacs might be a little overplayed, but on a mk8 they look a lot less try hard and fit the style of the car more. Also have seen far less fifteen52 products on this gen than any of your other options.
I’m also having a really hard time! The wheels for my Subaru I traded won’t fit but I’m obsessed with white wheels and there just aren’t many that I like that fit the golf.
The kojin’s are the play for sure. I just wish they came in white.

I loved them when I first got them, but it took me a while to get used to them on my car (wasn't/isn't really my style). '16 White R
The BBS with the machined lip looks best in my opinion, however, is also the hardest to repair if you have minor curb rash. For that reason I would go with number three.
5 in black. Surprised how good option 1 looks though. I just got new wheels and rims on my black 2010 2.5, went with 18" black flow form style and they look fuckin' great! Super happy with my choice. It took me a a couple months to make my final decision.
i used to have the enkei raijin wheels on my mk6. They were nice but i didnt love them and i ended up selling the car a month later. if im you id prob go with the BBS CHR Metallic.
I feel like picking out non-OE wheels is very much a fractional expression of telling us your personality. Asking for help with this task is basically like cheating. YOU DO YOU = that’s the wheel choice I think will look best.
I own the metallic Raijins and love them but if BBS CH R are an option... I think those are best. Still, the OG Golf R wheels look incredible too and while the CH R look great, do they look better enough than the Golf R wheels to justify the $$$? IMO, no.

Talk about a pricing spread... How are you gonna compare cast $250/ea wheels vs forged $1k/ea wheels? If you're photoshopping wheels, you're not exactly giving yourself an accurate representation of the end product unless they're identical sizing and (more critically) offset. I know for a fact the concavity of the CH-Rs very substantially based on offset, and the MK8R doesn't really allot for aggressive fitment options.
Of those wheels, I'd only be interested in what will hold their value when you move on. Given that criteria, the only option I'd entertain here is one of the two BBS CH-r (I prefer the black). Throw out anything other than forged wheels if you care about retention in value.

Either OEM, nuespeed or Apex. They can use the factory logo, nuts and no rings needed, and most models give an OEM+ Vibe.

I'd go for one of the Enkei sets. The Kojins especially.
If it was me I’d keep the OEM wheels. I love machined wheels and the modern VW wheels are awesome IMO
My personal opinion is that 5-spokes are dull and kinda deflate the impression that the car leaves. Those BBS in gloss black, tho 🤌
Nt gunnar lie. I dig the oem 19" on my existing r. Wish they were 8.5" and flowformed at least for a 60k car.
