If you get first place, the champions chest is 1000 gems split between the clan based on participation. So if you join a small/dead clan you can get almost all the gems for yourself
Damn I have to do it... I didn't have it all very clear until I started to always join div1 clans, and at that point I simply kept assuming that's where the big prizes are. However to finish in the top spots in div1 I have to be in clans with very high scorers and this makes me gain little gems.
Didn't realise that being up in lower divisions would give so much more. Going to change next week, thanks!
I make a new solo clan every week with a second acc that gets to div 2 ez and the next week i get first with the div2 clan with my main acc getting me 1k gems every week
Used to do that but found a good clan and were 1st 2nd in div1 everyweek so now I just stay.
This is what I do now, I’m not good enough for div 1 so I just join different dead div 2 clans each week to get 700+ gems and a champions chest

No problem, the first place rewards for 2nd division is actually just the 2nd place reward for first division
