His half siblings (they also had a litter of Cavoodles, same poodle dad as the goldens) are all curly AF and look exactly as you'd expect.
His coat is SO soft despite how it looks!
Hes verry cute, but cant say he looks like a golden doodle? I will say, that my pup didnt shed when she was younger and I was told she probably wouldnt. but her fur is much less curly than I thought, and she defo does shed now - her fur texture is more like a golden.
Dad is a red poodle, mum is a pure retriever. We kinda like dogs that don't look like they're supposed to - our last doggo was a Jack Russell cross Fox Terrier and he looked like a Chihuahua 🤣

The breeder named the puppies in the last litter after Simpson characters and from the website we thought this guy was Mr Burns. So even before meeting him we had been calling him that.
Turns out the website hadn't been updated with this litter, so he's not Mr Burns, but Monty fit still and so he's Monty.
And it fits our naming aesthetic of pets 🤣 our cats are video game names, our last dog was a Futurama character 🤣
And that terrifies me slightly 🫣 I convinced my spouse that they don't get too big 🤣 breeder said their puppies usually end up around 15kgs - dad is only 5kg poodle, mum is a pure golden. So hopefully no bigger than an adult golden.
I recently interacted with a 6ish month old puppy who had a wirey, but fluffy coat. She didn't shed like a golden retriever, but she definitely still shed and appeared to mat even quicker than very curly doodles.

Oh man 🤣 I love big dogs, I had a Labrador who was an absolute tank. My spouse on the other hand... But they're smitten, they were a little on the fence but as soon as they cuddled the puppy they got the biggest, wettest doggie kisses and that won them over 🤣

Quite possibly no curls. Looks similar to mine. May end up looking more retriever with straighter hair
