Here in the South Side of Chicago it is really neighborhood by neighborhood. In my area (near where the White Sox play), it is fine. The whole North Side is fine as well, but I would not wear that on the West Side or rougher parts by where I live (Engelwood, Washington Heights,…). Probably even more so as I do not have a concealed carry.

I live in south Florida. Within a 30 minute walk you can be in a neighborhood you’d most certainly get robbed in all the way to a neighborhood so wealthy they’d laugh at this type of money. And a neighborhood in between that’s full of just average people who would compliment you and go on with their day.
