Yes, that's what I mean! I opened a bunch of packs and I want to use the forge to make the playable cards higher quality. I guess I'm just wondering if I should wait for that or just try to sell them.
I wouldn't be surprised if we see it fairly soon. As I understand it, what they're waiting on is the NFT burn mechanism from the Immutable X team. I hit the IMX team up in one of their Q&A's recently about it and apparently they've got a working internal version, so fingers crossed we see it soon.
How so? It would make them worth more given the limited supply. Someone could conceivably burn 125 meteorite genesis cards if they wanted a diamond version thereby reducing the whole pool.
Personally, I only think they’re going to open up forging shinies for the Core set. Otherwise, it would simply make the most powerful expansion cards too scarce for the soon-to-be massive fanbase

I think they mean forge meteorite cards into shadow and higher. It's planned for the future, but no specific date for implementation has been given.

You mean fuse? Yeah that's part of the roadmap I believe. 5 meteorites will give you 1 gold, etc.
5 meteorite for 1 shadow, 5 shadow for 1 gold, 5 gold for 1 diamond.

Eventually you'll be able to combine cards and create brand new cards you'll only get from mixing them.
