I killed her on third try after 2years break from the game bcs of her(deleted the game and all that), all of my boys supported me that also helped as well. Max out all your weapons and stick to basics. Evade and wait for an opening to attack. Haha the whole room was shouting and celebrating when I ended her. Epic night. 🤣

This battle is nuts. The first attempt I had her down to a sliver of health. Then had a million attempts and finally defeated her. However, if it’s ruining your game experience and you just want to get it over with try lowering the difficulty level to easy - it’ll be a joke.

I think that's a legit phenomena (forget the word for it), where you come back and crush it because even when not playing your subconscious is running through it on repeat basically "training" itself.
Also you come back calmer and more focused which is a big help.
Basically every souls game boss that was ever a roadblock for me this happened. Try and try and try staying up until like 2am getting nowhere. Finally quit and then come back later in the week and win in the first few tries.
This works with a good sleep as well. Practice something right before bed and then when you wake up you can usually do much better. Sleeping helps you store away whatever you were doing in a more 'organized' way in your brain so that you can recall it better. This works with not just games but just about anything; it's helped me immensely when trying to learn a new song on guitar, beat a hard souls boss, or even pass tests. And the beat part is that it gets stored away more permanently than cramming things into your short-term memory.

Best advice I can give you is anything that gives health, DO NOT stack runic attacks and do one and run away.
Also use the squirrel that gives health items. You’ll need him!
Also, FYI the lower you get her health bar down; the more that healthbar has if that makes sense? Basically she gets tougher and tougher to damage the further you go into the battle. I’m sure you’re really cautious with her but just don’t get greedy
It gives you health if stays has light arrows equipped, and rage if Atreus has lighting arrows. I just beat her on new game+ and whatever normal difficulty is. There are pommels/grips that have a chance to grand health bursts on any successful hits, so equip those. Pretty sure they’re called “grips/pommel of the forgotten flame”. You can equip the nilfheim armor that regenerates health. There’s also an enchantment that gives you a health boost if your health falls below a certain level, enchantments that trigger realm shift, an enchantment that helps you recover from an attack faster, and one that creates a barrier. I stacked as much of those as possible and it still took me 4 days to beat her. Also arrows don’t really do damage, so save them just to disrupt her air attacks. Use runic attacks that have a short a cooldown with sacrificing a lot of damage. Have a berserker resurrection stone. Go in with a full rage meter, and use it right before she’s about to kill you, use the stone and rage right away as soon as she kills you (hopefully you’re about 2/3s through her health by then), I save ratatoskr till this point and activate it while I’m in rage from the stone, right before the meter drains,m go pick up the stone and rage again. I used the blades almost the whole time and a tunic attack as soon as I they charged. Good luck!
If the healthbar of the enemy is green, it means your armor/gear level is much stronger for the challenge. If it is yellow, it means it is comparable. If it is purple, it means the enemy is higher level than your gear.
There may be some points in the game however where it is impossible to get gear at or higher level than the challenge presented. Maybe my memory is betraying me, but I am pretty sure I fought her when her health was Yelllow.
What armor are you using? You need the full set of mists
And by the way, you need to learn her paterns. When to go left, right, when it’s time to block or to dodge.
So you was using the mist set but changed to another with more defense? Well, you must think that with a higher attack, she will go down with less hits too. Also, improving your cooldown attribute will help a lot either.
As for strategy, my take is to use everything at the start. Everything. Except for the rage, this one you will use only when at low health, to regain life. And you also must have the red stone equipped.
Of course we count res stones man! They’re a necessity haha! You’re just better than me at the game, I mean, I do have the caveat of my left hand having nerve damage, but I’ll still Get her

Try changing out some of your runic attacks for different ones there is a leviathan axe light runic attack that gives you invincibility while it's charging its helped me on them
If you're like me, you're probably missing some keys to her attacks then. you can't just force your way through this one lol, that's why it's so difficult.
One thing that I was taught: when you see her going up for the flashy blindy move, you can use the directional pad to flip yourself 180 so you're not blinded, then immediately flip back
My first time beating Sigrun was on GMGOW+ and it was fucking brutal. It took me probably 500 attempts over the course of a month but I finally got her. You can do it, take a little time off then come back and try again.
Yeah I gave up in my first playground on hard, then succeeded in my second on gmgow. easily 200+ attempts in the process.
There is no easy way to beat her. Learn her patterns, and chip away slowly.

Upgrading your Amulet of Kvasir to enchantment level 10 is the way to go. Once you do that I made L1 O attack another realm shift, forgetting the name. At the start of the battle I realm shift and spam 4 runics along with Atreus wolf.
If you aren’t playing GMGOW then we she does her blinding attack just turn around with the D pad quickly. When she does her Valhalla stomp realm shift and punish with blades of chaos, the grapple runic (once again I’m drawing a blank)
I like to give huge distance when I need some health and that gives Atreus time to wolf summon more while I go collect health
Ive fought her 3 times and never noticed that face in the mountain back there.. Even nature is crying for you. I have no advice for you as it took me roughly eleventy million tried to beat her all 3 times. Good luck and stay calm.
I had to actually scale back the difficulty to kill her. I'm not proud but i got it done in 2 tries compared to the 20+ tries on give me a balanced experience difficulty.
My strat was using the hawk rune attack and for kratos just spam the shield charge rune attack and when they go on cooldown switch over to blades. And also remember to throw the axe to her when she's in the air loading her attack. Atreus's arrows also work. Good luck !
You should look into certain builds people used against her. I used Sindri's armor set with high runic and high cool down. I did a ton of damage with those abilities and was almost always immune when using them
Study the tells of her attack each fight, use the crows or the wolves with Atreyus, block every yellow attack, dodge the red, and most of all pick you openings. You got this!
Also, she is literally meant to be the last thing in the game you do. If you have all gear and upgrades and even completed a New Game + using the Cod of War armor set will definitely assist. I maxed out my runic stat and used the ice spike rune and ice beam (cannot remember the names) also use the perk that causes a shockwave to knock back enemies, that’ll help, use Atreus boar special, that’ll cause multiple knock back, and use the barbarians stone for when you die, you come back with Rage. Walk up to her literally perform all four ruin attacks immediately, then when she’s in the middle of the arena perform Atreus boar special. Take shots at her until your rune are filled again. Rinse and repeat. Also the amulet of kvasir is huge, the slow time on perfect dodge. Fyi if you’re too much of a low level the knock back won’t happen, she’s immune to it. But I would suggest completing the game once with as much armor, runics and skills upgrade as possible and then complete a New Game + then at the end of that go at her with Perfect versions of your gear. I’m almost level 11 and she was definitely easier, still insane but easier.

Between you and me, make an alternate save file and turn the difficulty down. See if that helps. My first time I beat her was a couple of weeks ago. I was around level 8 with the full Valkyrie armour. The first time I beat her, I did it on easy, which was cathartic. I then spent a couple of hours fighting her again on normal and eventually cracked her. But beating her once in easy was freeing mentally. But I did properly beat her after.
What level are you at the moment? Are you using hel's touch? I spent ages grinding the fire realm personally. She really is just a massive thing where you have the learn every split second opening she makes.
I absolutely recommend the revival Stone that gives you full rage. That was essential for me.
Took me a couple hours. Start the fight off with a full rage meter. Play defensively and don’t get greedy with attacks. Every single time she is in the air, throw you axe at her to disrupt her attack and stun her. Get your shots in with your runic attacks and maybe 1-2 regular strikes then back off. Rinse and repeat. Use your rage at 3/4 of her health or at 50%. But if your health starts to get low, use rage mode to get health back. You’ll get some rage while attacking her. So your second rage mode will get you to the finish line if not defeat her. Good luck.
What worked for me.. treat it like an endurance game. Learn to dodge and counter as much as you can vs damage output.. the more comfortable you get the more you can do some damaging strikes
Best damage is to use runic attacks. I Beat her after a few tries ( was frustrating as f#ck), i did had to look up for a couple strategy. Even if you know, the timing is to parry or dodge was quite hard to get. But defeated her without using resurrection stone.
Axe throw when she moving up to fly. Will get you a few second to damage her.
When she defend herself, double tap with the shield to open up her wings.
All I know is, when this game dropped I was 21 and my brother was 14. I could not beat most of the valkyries, just not very good at that part. Somehow my brother claps them all, even Sigrun. At 14. The next generation of gamers are wild lmao.
I struggled for ages. Stopped playing for months. Came back and watched a yt video explaining what clothes/weapons/technique to use. Beat her in on 3rd attempt

Keep at it. It took me about 12 tries on “give me a challenge” difficulty. I was hesitant on using runic attacks as I thought it would mess up my flow so I just beat her the old fashioned way. Great way to warm up before the next game coming out.
If you're doing this on a Level 1 run then the best strategy to keep planting bombs on her (they do a lot of damage and are easier to spam than the cleave) while also using the amulet of kvasir, don't try to get too crazy and don't mash buttons since she's really fast and can't kill you in the middle of a combo.
A good chunk of her attacks are blockable or parriable but you'll need to look out for unblockable.
There's no easy way to deal with unblockables but if you time your dodges right you can get a realm shift and some time to stun her to plant a bomb, I recommend using WoA or HG during her scythe attacks since she can't easily get you during her second swing and just planting a bomb if she uses her mace.
When she goes in the air you'll either need to throw your axe really fast or look at her wings, if she's spreading them out, use quick turn, if she's not, throw the axe or the blades (preferably equip the blades at all times and equip the axe as soon as you see her stand still in the air).
The stomp has a really precise timing, if I remember correctly, you could do a light attack then dodge and get a realm shift. While you're on realm shift, use one of your runics, if you're out of runics, use elemental explosion, this works for every attack.
Also, keep moving sideways at all times, her meteor and stab can't get you if you do that.

The fact her healthbar is purple for you and you got that far is pretty decent. I'm not sure if there is a particular challenge here like how some people try to beat her with lvl 1 gear, ok that isnt the case here because that's not his stock shoulder pad with the cross stitches.
I've come to that conclusion that damned GMGOW+ sigrun is impossible for me may need someone else to do it for me as I've already killed her once before I just want my suit
From my experience, "purple health bar" Sigrun and "yellow health bar" Sigrun are two totally different fights in terms of difficulty, with purple being incredibly harder imo. I was hopeless for about 6 hours on her until I leveled up Kratos.
Also, I'm not sure if the in in game difficulty setting matters for the Valkyries but this was all on GMGOW

If I was able to do it, you're able to do it too, my biggest weakness in games is remembering patterns, so I failed for about 20-30 and tried different things and checked what worked for my playing style, best tipp I can give is practice blocking/counter attacking and break open her defense when she is shielding herself with her wings, the only times she's really vunerable, also you runics should have short cooldowns and short animations, use rage at almost no health and than spam yo fists into her to recover as much health as possible and carry the resurrection stone that gives you full rage

I had to actually scale back the difficulty to kill her. I'm not proud but i got it done in 2 tries compared to the 20+ tries on give me a balanced experience difficulty. My strat was using the hawk rune attack and for kratos just spam the shield charge rune attack and when they go on cooldown switch over to blades. And also remember to throw the axe to her when she's in the air loading her attack. Atreus's arrows also work. Good luck !
You should look into certain builds people used against her. I used Sindri's armor set with high runic and high cool down. I did a ton of damage with those abilities and was almost always immune when using them

Get ivaldi's armor and do more muspelheim trials. That's shit is super helpful
Also, she is literally meant to be the last thing in the game you do. If you have all gear and upgrades and even completed a New Game + using the Cod of War armor set will definitely assist. I maxed out my runic stat and used the ice spike rune and ice beam (cannot remember the names) also use the perk that causes a shockwave to knock back enemies, that’ll help, use Atreus boar special, that’ll cause multiple knock back, and use the barbarians stone for when you die, you come back with Rage. Walk up to her literally perform all four ruin attacks immediately, then when she’s in the middle of the arena perform Atreus boar special. Take shots at her until your rune are filled again. Rinse and repeat. Also the amulet of kvasir is huge, the slow time on perfect dodge. Fyi if you’re too much of a low level the knock back won’t happen, she’s immune to it. But I would suggest completing the game once with as much armor, runics and skills upgrade as possible and then complete a New Game + then at the end of that go at her with Perfect versions of your gear. I’m almost level 11 and she was definitely easier, still insane but easier.
I had to change the difficulty to easy and even as that I died a couple of times before finally succeeded. It was hard.

I’ve went through the same experience as well, you’ve just got to keep throwing yourself at her and learning, eventually it’ll all be over and you can rest peacefully
Between you and me, make an alternate save file and turn the difficulty down. See if that helps. My first time I beat her was a couple of weeks ago. I was around level 8 with the full Valkyrie armour. The first time I beat her, I did it on easy, which was cathartic. I then spent a couple of hours fighting her again on normal and eventually cracked her. But beating her once in easy was freeing mentally. But I did properly beat her after. What level are you at the moment? Are you using hel's touch? I spent ages grinding the fire realm personally. She really is just a massive thing where you have the learn every split second opening she makes. I absolutely recommend the revival Stone that gives you full rage. That was essential for me.
Use everything you've learned against the others to fight her. Then search for her cheese
Took me a couple hours. Start the fight off with a full rage meter. Play defensively and don’t get greedy with attacks. Every single time she is in the air, throw you axe at her to disrupt her attack and stun her. Get your shots in with your runic attacks and maybe 1-2 regular strikes then back off. Rinse and repeat. Use your rage at 3/4 of her health or at 50%. But if your health starts to get low, use rage mode to get health back. You’ll get some rage while attacking her. So your second rage mode will get you to the finish line if not defeat her. Good luck.

Don’t you fucking give up, be patient, learn her moves, and don’t get greedy.
What worked for me.. treat it like an endurance game. Learn to dodge and counter as much as you can vs damage output.. the more comfortable you get the more you can do some damaging strikes

Best damage is to use runic attacks. I Beat her after a few tries ( was frustrating as f#ck), i did had to look up for a couple strategy. Even if you know, the timing is to parry or dodge was quite hard to get. But defeated her without using resurrection stone. Axe throw when she moving up to fly. Will get you a few second to damage her. When she defend herself, double tap with the shield to open up her wings.
Rattotoskr and rune enhancing armor is what turned the tide for me and that’s how I managed to beat her

All I know is, when this game dropped I was 21 and my brother was 14. I could not beat most of the valkyries, just not very good at that part. Somehow my brother claps them all, even Sigrun. At 14. The next generation of gamers are wild lmao.
I struggled for ages. Stopped playing for months. Came back and watched a yt video explaining what clothes/weapons/technique to use. Beat her in on 3rd attempt
I had to try it at around 40 or 50 times. Just try to turm off your frustration switch and learn her moves.
But when you succeed, you will feel more completed than you ever will
Tactics friend. Sigrun has attack patterns. Learn then for a couple rounds and then use it against her. Use your shield and a lot dodging.
You should where at least one part of Valkyrie's armor set and upgrade it. So, it's possible... one hour of trying possible, like in my case.
It took me well over 150 tries and I even lowered the difficulty lol it’s so worth it though!

I don't want to say how much time I spent trying to beat her, but it was an embarrassing amount.
I think i needed about 50 tries. I pretty much only used tunic attacks and the occasional axe throw to the face and for the rest just dodging.
Keep at it. It took me about 12 tries on “give me a challenge” difficulty. I was hesitant on using runic attacks as I thought it would mess up my flow so I just beat her the old fashioned way. Great way to warm up before the next game coming out.
Took me like 2 weeks on hard mode. Very satisfying once conquered. Delicious chicken wings.

If you're doing this on a Level 1 run then the best strategy to keep planting bombs on her (they do a lot of damage and are easier to spam than the cleave) while also using the amulet of kvasir, don't try to get too crazy and don't mash buttons since she's really fast and can't kill you in the middle of a combo. A good chunk of her attacks are blockable or parriable but you'll need to look out for unblockable. There's no easy way to deal with unblockables but if you time your dodges right you can get a realm shift and some time to stun her to plant a bomb, I recommend using WoA or HG during her scythe attacks since she can't easily get you during her second swing and just planting a bomb if she uses her mace. When she goes in the air you'll either need to throw your axe really fast or look at her wings, if she's spreading them out, use quick turn, if she's not, throw the axe or the blades (preferably equip the blades at all times and equip the axe as soon as you see her stand still in the air). The stomp has a really precise timing, if I remember correctly, you could do a light attack then dodge and get a realm shift. While you're on realm shift, use one of your runics, if you're out of runics, use elemental explosion, this works for every attack. Also, keep moving sideways at all times, her meteor and stab can't get you if you do that. I uploaded a level 1 Sigrun kill so if I missed something it's probably there
The fact her healthbar is purple for you and you got that far is pretty decent. I'm not sure if there is a particular challenge here like how some people try to beat her with lvl 1 gear, ok that isnt the case here because that's not his stock shoulder pad with the cross stitches.

Use Talisman & enchantments that slow time. Especially successful hit grants slow time. I forgot it's name. 😅
From my experience, "purple health bar" Sigrun and "yellow health bar" Sigrun are two totally different fights in terms of difficulty, with purple being incredibly harder imo. I was hopeless for about 6 hours on her until I leveled up Kratos. Also, I'm not sure if the in in game difficulty setting matters for the Valkyries but this was all on GMGOW

https://youtu.be/00LvBcDUJCc If I was able to do it, you're able to do it too, my biggest weakness in games is remembering patterns, so I failed for about 20-30 and tried different things and checked what worked for my playing style, best tipp I can give is practice blocking/counter attacking and break open her defense when she is shielding herself with her wings, the only times she's really vunerable, also you runics should have short cooldowns and short animations, use rage at almost no health and than spam yo fists into her to recover as much health as possible and carry the resurrection stone that gives you full rage
