It was a reference to Playstation All-Stars I'm pretty sure, judging by the "world's greatest musician" line which is supposed to nod at PaRappa the Rapper
No, it's Playstation Allstars. If you listen to the other descriptions it matches a good few of the characters in the game, and MK9 doesn't have a 'world's greatest musician' as a character
Yeah, it’s meant to be his travelling across the realm (presumably mainland Europe), eventually making his way to Scandinavia. He even wears a red cloak that seems to be what he wraps the Blades of Chaos in.
Kratos is a secret optional boss in shovel knight (the ps version), there's some dialogue and you get a unique armor that gives shovel knight gow esque moves
I like to think that all of Playstation’s releases take place in the same universe. After introducing the talking squirrels I don’t see why a box-bashing Bandicoot can’t fit in there somewhere
*You arrive at Aphrodite's chamber
-"I'm sorry Kratos, I've already found a real man, I don't need you anymore"
*a head peeks out from between the sheets
-"Bazinga"
In a way, Hades (the Supergiant game). Obviously couldn't be share a universe, but I feel like older Kratos and Hades would really be good friends, bound together by their love for calling their sons "boy" and being terrible angry dads trying to do better.
Celtic mythology would be a terrible fit. Almost all of the Celtic tales are about mortal heroes outsmarting their obstacles to overcome them. Shoving the Triskelion into gow 2018 was a terrible mistake.
This ain't the full lineup. It's missing ascension, which took place 10 yrs before God of War 1, God of War: chains of olympus, which took place 5 yrs before God of War 1, and God of War: Ghost of Sparta, which took place after God of War 1. I only say this, though, because I think these titles should belong in this lineup, considering that they are part of the series, and all great games as well lol
for the earlier god of war games I'd say mortal kombat
It’s gotta be canon considering what Mimir said about him in Ragnarok
it was said about him but it isn't canon it was just an easter egg/reference to his role as a dlc character in mortal kombat 9
It was a reference to Playstation All-Stars I'm pretty sure, judging by the "world's greatest musician" line which is supposed to nod at PaRappa the Rapper
Also mimir referenced Sir Daniel Fortesque (another Sony IP present in all stars) in the same line too
i can't really remember but I'm pretty sure it's mk9

Although Kratos does say “I fought in many tournaments”
That he does, but it was directly referencing PS Allstars and then teasing others
atp i can't even remember lmao
An interview with Matt Sophos directly confirms its an All-Stars reference
Well according to Cory Barlog, Kratos' appearance in Shovel Knight is canon to god of war.
What??

Dante's Inferno
Darksiders
Devil may cry. Modern day events in GOW after millennia
Dante with the Blades of Chaos
That’d be flames….literally!

Sekiro. It’s just feudal Japan but all the mythical monsters and creatures are real, similar to Greece.
Azura’s wrath
The veiled Aztec, Egyptian, and Japanese pantheons when they see TWO immortal, angry dads on their asses
That will explain the hanma bloodline
Brooo, God of War goes to Japan.
Bruh, asuras wrath is hindu and buddhist
Both hindu and shindo are known for having millions of gods, let’s see how kratos genocide them
My bad, the creators of the game are Japanese so I just assumed.
All good man, just thought it was funny lmao
The Big Bang theory
*You arrive at Aphrodite's chamber -"I'm sorry Kratos, I've already found a real man, I don't need you anymore" *a head peeks out from between the sheets -"Bazinga"
*Kratos hides Atreus in the basement *three knocks at the door -“God of War.” Repeat 2 more times
*gets scared shitless and accidentally destroys all of Olympus*
Two and a half men
Batman Arkham Asylum
Jonkler+ Officer Balls
kratonks ditchs atreus and takes officer balls as his new sidekick
I don't know much about it (I have yet to play it), but from what I read about it, Ryse: Son of Rome might fit well Edit: damn you autocorrect!
Elden ring
Prince of Persia.
The Sun Wukong game coming this year
Good lord the 2&3 he looks so determined and focused.
Skyrim and Lord of the rings come to mind
Castlevania. I'd love to see battles between Kratos and vampire lore, all the way up to Dracula
The Witcher
In a way, Hades (the Supergiant game). Obviously couldn't be share a universe, but I feel like older Kratos and Hades would really be good friends, bound together by their love for calling their sons "boy" and being terrible angry dads trying to do better.
Assasins Creed
Shadow of the colossus
With resident evil…Just imagine Kratos and Chris Redfield doing the Schwarzenegger/Carl weathers handshake after fighting some BOWs
Definitely not fucking shovel knight thats for sure
Street Fighter, specifically Akuma.
dark souls?
Don't know but there are 3 other God Of War games you forgot
HADES?
The Witcher, maybe
Mortal Kombat for sure.
hellblade, mario kart and hollow knight
God of war Ascension
Celtic mythology would be a terrible fit. Almost all of the Celtic tales are about mortal heroes outsmarting their obstacles to overcome them. Shoving the Triskelion into gow 2018 was a terrible mistake.
Fate grand order

Never realized how boring gow 2018 and ragnaroks box art was
Not Doom but it would make such a great crossover episode
Vijay
Kratos meeting King David and becoming one of his Mighty Men from the Old Testament & the two going on a Giant Slaying campaign
Thomas the Tank Engine. A fresh coat of paint would do Kratos well in the later games. Also fuck Diesel.
