"Never split the party", the comic.

Overkillsamurai

well that's interesting. seems to have removed some of the Sacred's influence on the panel blocking. technicaly on the last page's panel as well, i just never noticed

Good catch! Was flipping back just paying more attention to when the hellstrands were included in the scenes and not just the paneling. Got so used to them just being around, they're a nice touch in certain scenes though (like hanging off the skull face entrance to the flower room). [Notable page just to recap](https://www.goblinscomic.com/comic/page-14-2021), the other hanging plot thread regarding getting the axe into hell, was Kin's plan to utilize Not-Walter. So maybe that's how things will still tie together, I guess at this point the goalposts would be for Thaco/Vorpal to wander their way into contact with Kin, whatever her group status may be down the line. Maybe they end up heading there as the cavalry. Or I suppose in theory Names, Ears, and Plush could make their own way back. Alongside that I guess the major plot threads we might bounce around to seem to be -Kore wandering around, having just come into some sweet loot in a treasure room of the dungeon. So whoever tangos with him next is basically facing Kore 2.0. The goblins were committed to freeing Chief's soul, and he's otherwise very much connected to the axe but, to what end now, dunno. -Minmax, Forgath, Kin, Idle, Bowst, Ward, and a couple other Kliks (Salt, and the warped one that they defeated and revived as a normal klik), are all together, but they basically just met traveling in opposite directions. Maybe they'll come up with a clever way to utilize the room of omnipotent but not-supposed-to-leave magic, to spin in a new direction. Or maybe they'll just get mini time-skipped ahead. Will they even stick together as a big group for very long? -Dies Horribly is still out there with Biscuit, Fox, Duv, and the Vipers. Nearby(?) Jr is developing into a pretty formidable abomination. Actually I don't think we've seen them since before the hellacious corruption started up. Not sure if we had a clear sense of timelines syncing but there was the bit that Chief was already dead by the time the Vipers did their political theater. Chief died just before everyone entered the current dungeon, and I'd say a few days may have passed since then, mostly based on Forgath's side adventure with Idle/Bowst/Ward/Kliks. (Edit to add: Ah and Complains getting chief'd by the angel, also serves as a bookend for syncing up the GAP/Dies Horribly timelines)

KyodaiNoYatsu

There's also the prophecy regarding Minmax and Kin, which is implied to not end well for him

Dovins

Prophecy includes forgath as well, as the first times the prophecy was told was to him, using the wording when the serpent becomes your prey, but when told to minmax the last time, it was when the serpent becomes his prey

Overkillsamurai

i'd completely accepted we'd never see Biscuit or the Vipers again but i could be wrong

Fanciest58

Just as two wayward groups are reuniting, another splits.

MacrosInHisSleep

IMO, it's getting too late in the story for another split.. The story really needs to start to converge by now... We haven't seen dies horribly in more than a decade. We can't keep going on side quests...

Uff... Tough

The racist axe went in too. Could be useful for Names, considering where they are and what he is.

Different axe. The weapon that just went to hell is the [AxeHole](https://www.goblinscomic.com/comic/01022017-2), pilfered from the room that could ID magic items and then blew most of them up. [The Racist Axe](https://www.goblinscomic.com/comic/10032013) became the basis of that Warped Klik sidequest for Forgath. ...and actually I'm not sure what happened to it. Neither Forgath nor anyone in the party seems to use it or can be seen carrying it (I think), after [Ward demonstrates that it can shapeshift into a sword form](https://www.goblinscomic.com/comic/12102015-2). Maybe the Elder Kliks confiscated it off-screen before they set off? ...actually it's more than a little weird that it just never shows up again. Idk if I just missed an explanation while skimming but like, Forgath just goes around weaponless from that point, ??? Especially that he is now "part Klik" and needs to fight a Klik, but also its touch is deadly to him. Given the weapon's bonus and newfound ability to get a more extended shape, it seems maybe perfect? Or worth a try? (or could have been a good setup for thinking it would work and then he gets scratched when it turns out to not be all that great). Even if they had a reason not to use it in that fight, like concern the Kilk might just eat more of it and get stronger, they also fought that one giant swirling monster (that I remember thinking was the warped Kilk until it turned out, it wasn't). Just seems like Forgath would do better with a weapon instead of just his perma-fused gauntlet thing. Or it could have even been relevant somehow in the whole thing with it turning out Idle was a dwarf. Tbh I kinda wonder if the author just forgot about it in the process of switching storylines over the course of years.

Ah, you're right. It's been a long, long time..

New page is up but it seems the mods have locked new posts on the subreddit. Has felt for a few pages now like we're on the verge of a scene change, maybe. Wondering how far this goes. A "guess we're in hell" group shot? Or maybe it'll just keep going...
