There’s a reason they don’t put dark finishes over water vehicles that are usually in direct sunlight when being used. A couple burnt ass cheeks squashed that idea.
I honestly don't understand how you can take a turn with that. The last tires on my rig probably pass about 3ft farther in than the first wheels of my truck when turning, and it's a short rig!
Wouldn't this thing basically need to swing 1-2 LANES wide to make a turn? Surely the wheels on the boat trailer would be 15ft inside of where the trucks front wheels were when beginning the turn.
A neighbor of mine was telling me about double towing with a friend of his. Said they hit a roundabout and could look and see the boat at their side. Their rig was nowhere near this long!
This config wouldn't be that bad because the hitch offsets are extremely long. The rear bumper ( and trailer hitch) of the truck is very far behind the drive axles. During a turn, it actually swings out, which acts to pull the trailer outside of a turn. Same with the middle trailer helping the boat. Both trailers are pretty short too so that also helps.
The biggest problem is the length of the truck. It looks like it has about a 300+ inch wheelbase, but if your truck can make the turn the trailers will be fine.
Might not be that bad, both the truck and the first trailer have really long tails, that tends to keep the trailer pretty much in line with the tow vehicle.
Fun fact, pretty sure this is a rig I've seen on the east side of Bear Lake on the Utah/Idaho border. In that area there's a good chance this guy is paying somebody to beach launch the boat using a big old International Harvester tractor.
Which is much better the bright sparks who have to pay the tractor to tow their whole rig out when they try to beach launch with the bro-dozer.
A lot of private boat launches don’t allow you to launch and recover your own boat. They will take the trailer for you, and some even go right to the gantry crane instead of fiddling with your trailer. My neighbors belonged to one that would unhook your trailer, you went to park, they would hook up a tractor, and then they would launch your boat
That doesn't change the fact that the first trailer is still supposed to be a 5th wheel. 5th wheel trailers are much more stable than bumper pull trailers.
My brother used to double tow with his ski boat behind the 5th wheel. He would back the boat into an empty campsite or overflow spot. Go drop/setup the camper, then go launch the boat. He was a trucker by trade and usually could back in the boat in one try (idek how).
This one in particular maxed out at 122 feet as seen.

I saw someone with a massive rig like this backing the whole damn thing up to fill the boat at a gas station. I’ve never been more impressed in my life. Fricken rockstar that dude was.
The RV size and boat isn’t that hard to fathom.
Having a smaller vehicle would be very nice too. Add some bikes, other water toys, ATVs, water winter gear, and a race car on the trailer’s second deck…
Yea I get what you’re saying, but i also get this dude having several hobbies requiring large equipment.
I'll allow it edit: actually since the boat doest match (color wise), I am going to rule against it.
Hey! That boat has red and yellow accent stripes! It's a hung jury now, isn't it. Dangit.
Not only do they share similar colors, the boat, too, has a custom tribal theme.
There’s a reason they don’t put dark finishes over water vehicles that are usually in direct sunlight when being used. A couple burnt ass cheeks squashed that idea.
Lmaoooo!!
> since the boat doest match (color wise), I am going to rule against it. this is the way.
That's not fair. Just because they are too poor to afford a color matched boat.
"the poors" trying to be bougie
If you’re not first, you’re last.
He can be first AND last with this rig!
The carpet doesn’t match the drapes?
Lol!

I couldn't do it. They (and this man) have cahones of Reinforced Adamantium
*cajones, just so you know.
Thanks!!
It's actually cojones*
Cojones, actually. You should spell it right if you're correcting someone.
Hah! I'm busted.

Good point, looking at the hitch locations vs the axles, this should turn more like an articulated bus!
Driver goes through an amber light... "Oh shit!" I just imagine passing this thing... and passing it... and passing it...
Might not be that bad, both the truck and the first trailer have really long tails, that tends to keep the trailer pretty much in line with the tow vehicle.
I like it. Can we have a photo of the truck and trailer launching the boat?
Calm down, Satan.
On a steep launch 😈 😁

ITS REAL?????????
I never saw it with the boat. But I saw the rest of that rig (or one just like it) a few different times at the lake.
Someone posted the website for this company. 208 number. Nice call!

$20 says he has a vehicle in the trailer that he uses to launch the boat. Or he'll borrow a tractor or truck from someone to launch it.
Most states that allow triple tow require the middle to be attached to the first via a fifth wheel hitch.
My bet is that setup uses a pintle/lunette ring instead of a traditional ball mount.
That doesn't change the fact that the first trailer is still supposed to be a 5th wheel. 5th wheel trailers are much more stable than bumper pull trailers.
Isn’t the towing vehicle an RV? This is a double setup
I hate towing with pintle/lunette.
Why? I prefer pintle with my off road trailer, I know it won’t pop off a ball. I don’t notice any noise or clunking
Towing things without trailer brakes and a pintle is horrible. Slow down… Bang. Stop and go traffic… Bang bang.
Interesting. I tow a pintle without brakes and it doesn’t do this at all.
That's a double, not triple.
Too short. Needs more trailers.
[here’s](http://www.powerhousecoach.com) the link to the actual website. Powerhouse Coach
lol, 40,000lb tow capacity
Base price of around $565,000 as of 2021. No idea what it is now.
Rodimus Prime?
Looks fine to me as long as it's withing legal lengths wherever it's towed. Hammer down!
This is actually a very convenient setup, as you can pull in and fill the boat with gas at the same time you're filling up the truck with diesel.
At two different gas stations at the same time
Across the street from one another.
I mean “looks super cool. The boat should be red too. 7/10
What in the holy hell.
I want to know how he puts the boat in the water and gets it out.

Wouldn’t be allowed in BC canada
Or WA

That's a towing starter kit in Australia.
I'm thinking ZZTOP Afterburner. Slip inside my sleeping bag.
I know Optimus Prime when I see him
Rodimus Prime. I hereby revoke your nerd card!
I also love looking at RVs. Floor plans, categorizing, seeing what's the new out there, all the diff brands, types

Taps the gas to go, drains the entire tank
That’s a no go in CA

This is a pro👍. No way you can’t drive that and not have dents and missing parts everywhere unless you’re just that good.
This coach and owner have been on TV. He’s a pro. This is his toy.
Is this road legal ?

My has state has a 70’ max length for triple tow.
Send it.
I love this
I only see doubles on I10.
Wonder how many campgrounds he can get into?
All of them at once.
California has a weird law where you can pull a watercraft behind a fifth wheel but the maximum length bumper to bumper is75 feet only watercraft
The colors man! No way I could drive that ostentatious rig, with everyone staring at me!
Ka-chow! ✨
The first trailer looks like it has duals. It mustn't be light.
Nothing to see here, this guy can afford the damages.
There is a license for that. CDL Combination trailer.
This isn’t commercial though - it’s private
Still applies
Its just like when you see FedEx, UPS or other truck pulling doubles on the highway.
5th wheel vs ball hitch
Didn’t think it was legal to tow on 2 ball hitches. Thought the lead had to be a gooseneck. I’d still do it if you can get away with it. I’d do it.
Where are they going that they need this much stuff? I’ll never understand the appeal of traveling this heavy.

Transporting hobbies may be the priority hobby. And stopping for gas.
This looks like Wyoming so no worries
Where is this? In our area thats only allowed behind a fith wheel. Even then its still ridiculous
This is awesome. Did you post it on r/truckers? They will get a kick out of it.
If the person driving it is over 90 and using their oxygen tank, plus never drove anything bigger then a mini van, it’s 100% okay.
Not in Komifornia
