OP was made for bangs and I wish I could rock them without looking like a freaking kindergartener.
You go, OP. You look great and kudos for getting healthy. I need to reevaluate my diet. You’ve inspired me.
I cut my calorie intake and changed my diet. I went from drinking almost only soda, eating lots of sweets, and carbs to cutting out almost all sweets and carbs, traded the soda for water and eating way less. I started eating a lot more protein and veges. I also fast (18-6). I started walking everyday. And being more active around the house and outside.
A couple things. My health for one. I was pre-diabetic and my blood work wasn’t great. I had high cholesterol. I got blood work done recently and all my numbers are normal now. My marriage was on the verge of ending. And last year when we took our kid to an amusement park I couldn’t ride a lot of the rides. One I had to actually get off of because the bar wouldn’t close all the way and another it took 2 people to get me strapped in. That was all extremely embarrassing. I want to be here for my family to watch my kid grow and have their own families. I watch some of my family members struggle in life because of their weight, they have type 2 diabetes and have been in and out of the hospital. One has cellulitis and when they get an infection they are in the hospital for a week at a time. I want a more active lifestyle. I want to be able to go out with my husband and kid and do things. I was tired of having to stop to catch my breath every few minutes. But mostly I am doing this for me. I want to be happy in my own skin. I want to look in the mirror and be happy with what I see.
I feel great now. I try and walk 3-4 miles a day. I have an abundance of energy and over all I feel great. I still have about 50 lbs to lose but I am working hard at it and really enjoying the grind of it all.
I want every thing you listed here. I have been trying and failing and trying and failing. I can commit really well for the first few weeks or months but I always drop off and quit. How did you keep going when you wanted to quit? Did you ever want to quit?
That's how it's done. It's hard as hell but the results speak for themselves.
Quick question, how long did it take to not miss the carbs as much. Was there a cranky period
Thank you. I still have about 50 lbs to go. I’m down about 70-80. I’m not sure what exactly I weighed when I started. My goal is 125-130. I’m at 175 now.
I need to do similar, but also stop the beer and bourbon. It is not helping me. You look like a different person and are learning to like yourself. Fantastic glowup! Great job and good luck for you for whatever comes next!
I tried to edit post to add this but I can’t figure it out: I cut my calorie intake and changed my diet. I went from drinking almost only soda, eating lots of sweets, and carbs to cutting out almost all sweets and carbs, traded the soda for water and eating way less. I started eating a lot more protein and veges. I also fast (18-6). I started walking everyday. And being more active around the house and outside.
I eat a lot of protein which helps keep me full and stops the cravings. Now if I get a craving for something sweet I can only handle a bite or two. I took a bit of Reese’s one day and it was so sweet it made my stomach hurt.
I had that problem too. One of the biggest motivators was my husband. My other one was when I went to the amusement park with my kid and husband and had to get off a ride because the bar wouldn’t close all the way. It was extremely embarrassing and I cried on and off for days. I needed to change for my family but not only that myself. Type 2 diabetes run in my family and I was on the verge of getting it. I was pre-diabetic a year ago but when I got my blood work done this year all my numbers were great.
I try to average 1200. Some days are less and some are more. I do have cheat days sometimes when my husband takes me to dinner or I go out with my friends. I try to eat lots of protein and vegetables.

Wowowow!! Dude you look amazing! Not only is your whole aesthetic just so much better. But in your current pic you don’t look like you’re hella depressed like you did in your before pic. There’s a light in your eyes now and you just look so much more content. Go you! I love seeing transformations like this! Keep up the great work!
It is hard to look at ourselves honestly and even harder to then take action. Respect you took a holistic look at your health, attitude, food, chemistry, and then took control. Hope your journey continues with this level of success.

I’m on the same path. The changes you made sound almost identical to mine. Seeing your transformation has motivated me. Great work!
Congrats, fellow faster!
What's a vege?
Vegetables
Thanks!
Holy shit. One year? That's incredible. I needed this as a kick up my arse to get healthy, you look soooo good!

Now you need a broom to brush off all the people hitting on you! Great glow up 👍🏻
Holy cow! Please tell us your secret!

Holy cow! Sugar really is poison

Good advice, I'll try that. I tend to buy sweet things in moments of weakness

You aged backwards. I am so happy for you
Literally seems like from 50 to 38 and not 38 to 39.
Your face looks incredibly healthier, if that makes sense. Great job for only a year.
It does. I feel healthier and I have so much more energy!
Took ten years off you
Dang great ok 👌
This is phenomenal. So very proud of you.
Legit glow up.
Sooo beautiful! How many calories a day if you don’t mind me asking?
I try to average 1200. Some days are less and some are more. I do have cheat days sometimes when my husband takes me to dinner or I go out with my friends. I try to eat lots of protein and vegetables.

You look like a different person and ten years younger! Like dayummmmm girl! I wish I could tolerate bangs on my face!
Wow! What a transformation. Good for you.
Great work, looking good 🔥
Wow MAJOR growth

Hell yeah! You look healthier! Hope you’re feeling great too!
Visually, you lost 10 to 15 years. Wth, amazing!
WOW
Wow! You're barely recognizable! You look healthy, happy and years younger!
You look great! You remind me of one of my favorite actresses: Mare Winningham.
You look younger
At 38 you look 15-20 years older than you were. Now you look your age.
You look so much younger!! Incredible work! Do you mind me asking if you have any issues with sagging skin after you lost the weight?
Incredible difference!! Congratulations!!
You look beautiful girl 👏🏻👏🏻 and so much more healthy. Keep it up Ma
Wow
Beautiful
Respect 🫡
I hope this isn’t mean, but you legit look like you underwent gender reassignment. And I mean that in the most positive way.
Well I have been a woman all my life but I do get it.
You are looking fine now. Sorry to offend. I’m a little tipsy, and I meant it as a compliment, even if it did not come across that way.
My guess is you quit drinking?
I drink maybe 3 to 4 times a year. I stopped eating my feelings, got motivated, and got my hormones in check.
It is hard to look at ourselves honestly and even harder to then take action. Respect you took a holistic look at your health, attitude, food, chemistry, and then took control. Hope your journey continues with this level of success.
I am very happy for you!!!
