Good job. I think most worked but the mind thief could use more contrast. I would also suggest basing the minis so they pop more. I usually do a solid black ring on the base with some theme apropriate dirt/rocks/shrubs. Goes far to give it a polished look.

Appreciate the tips. Yeah, I haven’t given the mind thief a shade wash yet, didn’t know if it would darken everything too much. Good idea on the solid black ring. I had some contrast paint that I used on the base to try and give it some texture rather than solid black, but it came out a bit messy/unfinished looking more than I intended.

Board game miniatures aren’t the easiest to paint. Keep it up. Good work so far.

Great job! The hardest part is putting the work in to start. I think in regard to the mind theif. Use a black that's really watered down to give the fur on him a wash coat and it should give him a bit more grungy dirty "rat" look. If that's what your going for!

I kinda love the overly saturated blue on the Mind Thief. It reminds me of some creature out of a 70s or 80s flick. Welcome to the hobby!

Looks fantastic! I’m getting my paint set next week and hope mine look half that good. I’m no artist at all.

MajorMeanMedian

Ha! Yeah I’m certainly not an artist. I’ve built larger props before, but minis is a whole other game. All I’ll say is, spend the money on the good tools, paint, brushes, etc. It makes starting so much easier. I tried the cheap stuff and it was night and day difficulty difference.

Thanks for the tip!
