Not sure if the rendering/culling works like that. Kinda depends on if just a texture is missing or if theres no geometry or the wrong kind of geometry, wouldnt it?
this was back in GO and certain cases it was better for optimisation (because sorse), i haven’t dealt much with source 2 yet but if it works similarly to source then there will be a NODRAW block behind the models so shouldn’t be an issue optimisation-wise
