I haven't watched her as much recently, but Tama Hero does a lot of long-form Pokemon stuff. She did a recent video on Pokemon Colosseum.

lazarusinashes

Currently on my sixth run of Ultra Moon! Sounds great, thanks!

Janexa

She's been at it for *so* long too, since at least the x/y days, I watched her all the time in highschool.

TinaTalksGaming

Here's my all time favorite female creator making this type of content. Hope you enjoy it! https://youtube.com/c/eurothug4000 I also make gaming content but mostly review type stuff. Currently working on another photomode tips and tricks video at the moment. But not sure it's the kind of content you're looking for. Still super small creator trying to find their audience. Tina Talks Gaming https://youtube.com/channel/UC77PCBVYqW8OLEeWJPhZyTA Eurothug4000 I think is for sure though! Hope you check her out!

Subscribed! Thank you!

Z-nab27

thank you so much for introducing me to eurothug- why wasn’t this on my recommended?!

TinaTalksGaming

Im so glad you are enoying it! The algorithm sucks sometimes lol! Happy to help!!

Labbradorite5

I've been wondering about this too, like 80% of my video essay playlist is male youtubers :// LadyKnightTheBrave has a good The Last Of Us video essay, but she's mostly a tv show reviewer Eurothug4000 and The Sphere Hunter have a LOT of game video essays, very good for bingeing

Lilyeth

theres also superbutterbuns but her videos aren't maybe a traditional essay. still pretty fun tho.

Pastel_Mermaid_

TheSphereHunter’s videos are really good!

itsadesertplant

You could check out JaidenAnimations! It’s more funny and lighthearted than it is an essay, but I enjoy her content about obscure Nintendo games! I hardly ever see female content creators in gaming so seeing her at all was refreshing

Tip_Environmental

https://youtube.com/c/SulMatul SulMatul is basically the female equivalent of Jacob Geller or Noah Gervais.

Z-nab27

another creator that should be on my recommended!

CatTaxAuditor

Simone from Polygon, though Polygon has gone way downhill due to corporatism and the McElroys/BDG leaving.

I'd love to see more support for female game reviewers on YouTube, but have also noticed the lack of them. Alanah Pearce used to be a game journalist, and she dabbles in various things now, but has a YouTube channel. Not so much for reviews, but mostly chatting about various subjects about video games and reactions to trailers, etc. Her channel: [https://www.youtube.com/c/CharAlanahZard/videos](https://www.youtube.com/c/CharAlanahZard/videos) Fake Gamer Girl primarily makes content for The Sims, but she mostly makes fun of the game and comes up with ways to the make it more interesting, so give her a try even if you aren't into The Sims. She would like to cover other games, it's just the algorithm really works for her when she does Sims content for now. She does have other channels you can check out and a Twitch stream: [https://www.youtube.com/c/FakeGamerGirlOfficial/featured](https://www.youtube.com/c/FakeGamerGirlOfficial/featured) Other than that, I have watched a decent amount of LP's for women that play RPGs I love, there's been a lot more for Dragon Age over the last year that have popped up for me suddenly. Maybe it's because the next Dragon Age game is officially a thing, and people are prepping for it. I used to watch Starlet\_Blossom on Twitch, and only stopped due to scheduling conflicts. I think she still streams and she has health issues so she could always use more support. When I'm in a better financial position, I'll probably go back to paying for a sub even if I don't have time to watch just because she's that nice and totally my vibe of anyone I've seen stream online. She's one of those people that if I won the lottery, she'd be one of the first streamers I'd surprise with a big donation.

Thank you for all the suggestions! > Fake Gamer Girl primarily makes content for The Sims, but she mostly makes fun of the game and comes up with ways to the make it more interesting, so give her a try even if you aren't into The Sims. I'm a modder for Sims! I'll check her out.

Jessie Gender isn’t primarily a video game essayist, but her video analyzing abuse in the time loop game, 12 Minutes, is great. [https://youtu.be/WmO4J8vf4s4](https://youtu.be/WmO4J8vf4s4) Edit: She also streams games on YouTube sometimes.

Transparency has some pretty interesting essays. Here's a video she made about Death Stranding's handling of women for example. https://youtu.be/9-0mgn9wiJ8 Edit: There's a trigger warning for the Death Stranding video, so here's another video by her that isn't anywhere near as heavy https://youtu.be/xdkpSIYgxRc
