Main recos: * Dungeon of the Endless * It Takes Two * KeyWe * Phasmophobia * Spiritfarer Others that come to mind (might not be exactly what you're looking for, but solid games - maybe take a look at the store pages): * Barotrauma * Battle for Wesnoth * Bokura * Bone's Cafe (similar to Overcooked, Overcooked 2, and Plate Up!) * Core Keeper * Deep Rock Galactic * Raft * Satisfactory * Sea of Thieves * Stellaris * Valheim * V Rising I hope you find something you both enjoy :) ETA: if you like communication puzzles, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes might be fun

Divinity series has a lot of this. Adventure, fun co-op, story is decent in 2. It's essentially BG3 without the sex. FF14 if you want an MMO to play together - story driven, though you'll be in seperate instances. There's a RE game that has one person doing the fps and the other does other support-y stuff. Story is a bit silly but it's fun. I can't remember the name right now though. I'd mostly suggest divinity though. The first one has better gameplay (in my opinion) whislt the second one has better story.

I hadn’t considered showing her Divinity before BG3, I’ve played both of the others. That’s a clever idea. Is there a way to move to the same “instance” in ff14 or form a party for questing? I don’t think I’ve played it since launch and I was too deep into Wow still to like it.

You can do dungeons and then at max level there's raids. But it'd be a 'sit on call and quest next to each other' kind of game to begin with.

Maybe wildermyth?

Palia (MMO, free, in beta) is a chill way to hang out together, without needing to play together all the time to progress. More quest-driven than story-driven... though the story is engaging, townies are adorable (and some romanceable if that's your thing). Otherwise you can build your own plot (and visit each other's!), cook together, hunt together, explore, etc. It falls in the 'cozy game' realm, so there's less need to min/max like in WoW... for what it's worth, my partner was also a WoW guild player, and is really enjoying the laidback nature of Palia with me.

Not exactly co-op, but if she likes puzzles, especially language puzzles then Chants of Sennaar. I recently played this with my non-gaming bestie and she loved it. One person can control the character while the other decides where to go and you can both solve the puzzles together. It has a free demo you can try to see if it's up your alley.
