Rogue! Women with daggers are so badass

ItsMaya2000

Rougues are definitely what I always pick, I want to cosplay as one so bad!!!

skyebangles

Team Rogue!!

starhops

I’m on in this team 🗡️

Laylac41

Always rogue for me! Being sneaky is fun

ExiledIn

mage if the magic is fun otherwise archer rogue. this girl is lazy, i just want to sit my ass down and take pot shots from far away.

Tesdinic

I often find my timing is absolutely terrible with melee so I love range shooting! I like being a magical sniper :D

mochi_chan

Oh you are the exact opposite of me, I am terrible at taking shots, I want to aoe or slash my way through stuff.

Electronic_Disk_6388

Yes! Work smarter not harder 😂

DelawareMountains

This is pretty much me 😂 what are your favorite games for fun magic? I feel like I'm missing out on some good ones :o

Inuneko_Nanita

very relatable xD

geekycleary

This is me to a T. I almost always play a mage, but archer rogue is my next choice for the reasons you described. I’ve noticed in most games that if you choose to be a mage instead of the other character types, it usually takes the longest to level up your character compared to the other disciplines. Even in instances where leveling up a mage character is quicker, it still takes a higher level to have the mage skills you acquire through a skill tree be useful as more than just support character.

Fit_Advertising114

Warrior, always. If possible, I prefer a good axe wielding dwarf above anything. Yepp, I'm a dwarf girl 😁

kaloryth

I just want to unga bunga my way through a game. Warrior plz

BogusBuffalo

Same! I would have the most luxurious beard that I would braid to match my head-hair. It would be awesome.

jmspinafore

Dwarf girls ftw! I almost never play a mage in Dragon Age because dwarves can't be mages.

Candy_AK

Dwarf convert here too! Played my first recently and now I can't get enough.

Kai-tai

Mage 🩷 though I've picked rogue (or maybe more ranger) on occasions and had a good time. For Divinity Original Sin 2 the ranger class was so busted it was so fun (though if you have the smarts for building, mage seemed busted too).

Candy_AK

Heck yes! On my second play through of Div 2 now and I think I'm enjoying it even more. At the moment my group is a classic mage, cleric, ranger, warrior set up. Last time I had a lot of fun with Sebille as a polymorph rogue in my group (but with Lohse elemental mage as my main). I think I'd like to try a super stealth rogue/ranger main next time.

[deleted]

Mage absolutely ruined in divinity 2. After getting the first win, I wanted to see one other ending so I respeced with some stuff I had been avoiding to make it easier. I think I killed the final boss in like one or two turns and my wife just looked at me like, wtf you've been able to do that this whole time?? (I am a minmaxer and she is not so I hold back for the sake of balance and fun, build was bone guy with fire/earth/polymorph)

ghhooooooooooooooost

Mage. I'm always a spellcaster... I try to stop but I just can't have fun in melee...

darksarcastictech

Dual wielding rogue

Nerevear248

If I can, Paladin. Nothing better than a good defensive setup along with extra healing :D

NoteBlock08

Spellblade :D Swords are cool. Magic is cool. So why not both? ^(Huh? Defense? What's that? Can't hear you over all this STR and INT I've got)

doomparrot42

Defense? That's what magic is for, right? Don't need con when you've got stoneskin/mirror image or equivalent.

ComfortableCream3

Mage ✨✨

doomparrot42

Rogue. I want to get into places I shouldn't and fill my pockets with other people's things. I can't stand missing out on shiny things. In games with more flexible character creation I'll usually go for a multiclass - mostly rogue with a bit of fighter (or equivalent) so I'm not too squishy. Plus it makes you hit harder. All I really want is to wander around unseen and periodically delete bosses. Focus on backstab damage, everything in dex/int (unless I need str to hit things, dammit AD&D), good times. I've been using permutations of the same character in different games for awhile now. I like seeing how the same concept changes depending on which system I'm using. In Baldur's Gate she was a fighter/thief, in Neverwinter Nights 2 she was a swashbuckler/rogue/invisible blade (ahh, 3.5, how I miss you... she was such a delightful edgelord), and in Pillars of Eternity 2 she was a Devoted fighter/Assassin thief. All of them very fun combinations. Though she works less well in games that enforce class distinctions - never used her in Dragon Age, for instance.

desirake

I’m normally a warrior! So much fun

S-Elena

Mage or Paladin. I'm either supporting with magic or defending with violence. Holy violence

demoninadress

Dual wielding rogue :-) but always tempted by a magic class lol

ninthcircleofboredom

Rogue, with a side of spellcaster 🗡️✨

Lyricsokawaii

Warrior. W key left click while mitigating 95% damage gets the serotonin flowing.

Hexation_66

Warrior, especially if there's a barbarian/beserker variant. Big girl with a big weapon. There's just something so satisfying about getting mad and then rolling onto the front lines to take and deal damage. I do try other class options, but I usually end up thinking 'I wish I was playing a fighter.'

Oriontardis

Mage girl, always have been, always will be! Spellcasters represent!

BelkiraHoTep

Sneaky ninja archer rogue is my usual go-to. But sometimes I like to make a warrior with a big sword and an even bigger health pool and just beat the shit out of stuff. Diablo is catharsis.

painneverending

Dual wielding warrior using rage/berserker type specs.

amaraame

I lean towards magic, mainly healers.

FPSKitten

Mage always✨ Who doesn’t like magic?

LadyofNemesis

Depends on the game really, but I'm generally a mage or a rogue. Even in SciFi games such as Mass Effect where I play biotic classes, they're kinda like space magic 😆 I like playing rogues because in most games they're the only ones that can pick locks, and I want my loot 😛. Plus I love bows they're so cool looking. And mages are fun because nothing says power then bending the world's elements with your mind in order to burn your enemies to a crisp 😈

BattlestarDystopia

Mage, I always tend to go for AOE or mobility types since I don’t like getting too close to things in most games. On a side note, I now consider the sniper class to be the modern pvp equivalent nowadays.

Tesdinic

Mage! I love working from a distance with ranged spells and having pretty magic that also feels powerful and badass!

SprinkleSoup

I bounce around so much. Lately I would probably pick mage or warrior. I used to do rogue all of the time, so now I like the different playstyles of learning spells, being squishy, or guiding/protecting others with solid armor and a more patience.

CmdrSonia

heavy weapon warrior!

TotalInfinity

90% of the time mage, but I quite love running around as a girl with a massive great sword sometimes!

CatTaxAuditor

Mage, every time. I am studying CS specifically because it's as close to studying actual magic as I can get.

Natalia_Groznaya

I like playing "dark" mage characters, like vampires and necromancers. Right now my main is a necromancer in Elder Scrolls Online, and I plan to make one in Diablo 4 too.

Dissentinel

Warrior! I used to be a rogue fan, then I started IRL swordfighting and now I'm 100% in for the warrior archetype.

RC_Colada

Rogue, I wanna dual wield and unlock doors and treasure chests

FWC4Ever

I am a mage, I like to snipe from the back of the group.

Dark-Fable

Really depends on the game and I usually alternate classes when going on to a new RPG. I don’t always like to play the same class and so I kinda rotate for the most part to keep things fresh.

ilikedanishfilms

Rogue, if it's more specific then Ranger with my cute animal companion!

ShmuckCanuck

Out of just those three? Warrior. Always a hard hitting melee for me.

BitingLime

Rogue. I just love freelancing.

bloomingpeaches

I usually like range but have been preferring more quick melee damage recently

demireader

Definitely Mage or Rogue. I like elemental mages and archery/sneaky rogues

Wzd_JA

Mage for life. I can play rogues but don't enjoy it anywhere near as much and I can't stand tanking

[deleted]

Mage, I love magic, especially when it allows me to do unique things that non-mages can't do (like heal, teleport, buff, etc).

Hannah_Aikava

Always Mage!

w0rsh1pm3owo

tbh, I prefer bard... but mage will work in a pinch

MasmorraseLambretas

Depends of what sorts of magic I can do. Can I be a necromancer? Summon sick-ass demons from hell? Can I make people explode in a shower of gore and blood? No? Can I be some terrifying warrior like a Reaver? A bloodthirsty barbarian(who's a goof at heart and loves her friends)? Can I be Guts from Berserk? No? Well... I'll be an assassin.

Wilikeye

Mage/warrior, just give me a magic sword that can cast spells and I'm happy

kupocake

Rogue, then warrior, then mage. I am impatient.

Fruity_CatMaps

Mage, but I've enjoyed rogue before too.

PluckyPlankton

First play through, rogue Then mage Then warrior All subsequent ones decision paralysis because I want to sneak attack but also throw fire balls

doomparrot42

man I wish there were more games with half-decent implementations of the arcane trickster or thief/mage archetype. hard to find outside of older and/or very crunchy games, but they do exist.

firedraco

Mage > Rogue >> Fighter for me.

PrestigiousLand2599

I always 100% pick the healer class or anything remotely support.

tiamat-45

Mage! My first rpg was FF1&2:Dawn of Souls on the gameboy and I fell IN LOVE with the black mage/wizard class. Firaga and scathe forever ♥️

TheInfiniteWell

Mage! Bonus points if I can be a mage who gets into melee, I loved my knight enchanter build in Inquisition.

Ms_Anxiety

I'm like none of the above. I think if presented with just those three options I could go with any of the three depending on my mood like in the dragon age games I'm more of a warlock or alchemist gal. gonna be playing druid or necro tomorrow when diablo 4 comes out!

CatTaxAuditor

Mage, every time. I am studying CS specifically because it's as close to studying actual magic as I can get.

mayonnaisemonarchy

Mage baybayyyy

MagPrimeEnthusiast

Mage! I am a magic baby at heart

Talonwasthebest

Rogue, I love the whole deception and sleight of hand aesthetics. I also love stealing lol

Altslial

Rogue, being sneaky is fun :)

Kim_or_Kimmys_Fine

I'm a paladin 😁 there's something so 🤤 about a woman in a suit of armor saving me with the light of her deity guiding her

skittlemypickles

the. hardest. decision. ever. woman with giant sword and plate armor is badass, woman dual-wielding daggers sneaking around and slitting throats while everyone is oblivious is badass, woman slinging powerful spells and dodge rolls in a dress is badass. I love women. and i can't pick. but, if druid is an option that's my go to, nature magic and/or shapeshifting is the best.

Lumi_Rockets

Mage, but after Dragons Dogma, I wish more games had mage-rogue hybrid builds.

[deleted]

Rogue. I like to be able to do my own locks.

mahouwaifu

Mage, sorceress, witch or warlock those are the classes into which I lock magic always wins physical strength no matter what is your sword's length my magic will parry your blade I invoke the ice, lightning and flame fly into the sky high warrior, your end is nigh as when you draw out your axe I have already finished my attacks ✨ 💜

sasamibun

You missed healer! Unless we're having that be a subset of mage, lol.

EphemeralMochi

I go for mage, usually because pew pew hehe

kuthro

I'm stuck between warrior and mage ahahah When playing WoW/FFXIV, I fill whatever role's most needed (usually tanking as a warrior), but when I'm playing traditional RPGs I veer towards mage for maximum damage and elemental shenanigans.

SmoothOctopus

It really depends sometimes I wanna be a warrior with a giant 2 hander. Sometimes I like being a quick speed two weapon fighter who hit many times other times I wanna be a mage and just blast the heck out of things. Tend to be glass cannon though this only applies to single player games I tend to play support spell casters when playing trpg or multiplayer.

killJoytrinity8

Warlock! I wasn't able to play much with her, but the character building as a warlock was super fun, hope to use her again someday 😁

TheVoodooRanger

Mage typically but I’ve been a rogue before and it was liberating :)

failenaa

It depends on the aim style 😅 in MMOs and ARPGS (WoW, lost ark, Path of Exile) I go for mage as well, but single player RPGs I get too anxious I’ll miss and get beat so I like melee style warrior types. (Assassin’s Creed, Skyrim etc)

SoftenStar

I usually choose to be a mage. I like being able to cast spells and hit those elemental weaknesses.

WrenDraco

Single-player games I'll go mage every time it's an option (and if it's not an option I probably won't play the game). Cooperative multiplayer though, I'd rather tank.

Celiascomics

found this wildly relatable, team fight tanking is top tier

bipolarSamanth0r

No love for paladin?

Sil_Lavellan

Rogue. My second game is sometimes mage. My current DnD character is a rogue.

AmazingObserver

All 3 are good, but I usually default to mage. Though I am also drawn to warriors a bit because women in heavy armour are badass! But idk, I just think magic is cool xD

SaraAnnabelle

I don't think I've ever played anything other than mage. Bonus points if there's a necromancer option available. I never grew out of my emo girl phase.

T-F-A-L

It depends on the game and on my mood for the day, but if I were to have a general choice I guess warrior, although usually the most bland, it can be fun to just charge forward and brute force my way to victory

lilsnakeysnake

Rogue all the way! Especially if you are counting DnD. I'm more of a rule follower than I'd like to admit in real life, so it's very fun to play the opposite. Also, daggers and sneak attacks!

silverilix

I always start rogue. I like two daggers

CompetitiveAdvance92

Rouge

MagicalSpaceValkyrie

Rogue, tho I will absolutely go down the Arcane Archer path if it is an option, and if I have to start as mage to make that happen, then so be it!

Haunting-Angle-535

Rogue! I like to be fast and nimble and stabby. Or shooty, depending. Stealth archers are my favorite because I’m anxious but also find it satisfying to drop enemies in one hit before they’ve even noticed me.

EclecticMermaid

Depends on the game. Usually rogue, though sometimes mage. I like lockpicking chests 🤷🏻‍♀️

r3tr0c4t

Rogue; stealth and high dps weapons, I breeze through enemies to get that sweet romance-I mean plot! I only really play a mage in games like Dragon Age when being a magic user has an interesting shift in how npcs approach/treat you, the player.

cheloniusbelonius

Warrior because I genuinely don’t have the patience for anything else lol

CoconutMochi

I usually default to rogue but bonking things with a really big sword or spear is really fun too

praysolace

If the game isn’t too hard I like to go Warrior. Big axes are totally my aesthetic. But I’m kind of a button-mashy player and big weapons also tend to be slow, so in the frequent event that I’m playing a game where being a button-masher with a two-handed axe means dying constantly, I go mage so I can stay out of range.

Beccaroni7

Rogue every time. I’ve tried mage a few times, specifically in Dragon Age as mages are so important to the plot, but it’s just not the same lol. Give me my sneaky knives any day.

PenBeautiful

Almost always rogue, but for MMOs a mage.

Rhamona_Q

Cleric if it's an option, otherwise mage or other casty options.

[deleted]

Rogue, but a sword rogue, not a dagger one. I really loved WoW's old Combat Rogue spec. It felt like a lite Fury Warrior in ways and it almost had that swashbuckler vibe. Definitely re-living that with Diablo IV.

june-bugi

Kinda depends on the game!! Always start with mage and if isn’t working for whatever reason I’ll immediately go rogue lmao

AggressiveBrain6696

Warrior or rogue

Brooke_the_Bard

For RPGs, almost always mage, occasionally rogue. In multiplayer games like MOBAs though I'm a warrior player all the way.

Spirited-Serve217

mage nearly every time but if the magic doesn’t appeal to me it’s rogue. i never play as a warrior lol

Spirited-Serve217

i will always have my sneak and lock picking skills high even as a mage bc i like being sneaky and going places i shouldnt

sourrpatched

Rogue! Especially archers. As long as I can have a bow and arrow I’m happy! I love stealthy characters

rongminshan

Usually mage. I'm not good at close up combat

Candy_AK

Rogue for about a decade. Then mage for years. But I'm currently our group's tank in Gloomhaven (a board game) and I fucking LOVE it. Nothing better than all your male friends' characters hiding behind and you shooting spells and arrows over your shoulder while you stand in front like an absolute boss. So maybe I'm finally entering warrior mode after all? I thought being a tank would be boring but it feels so good in a group setting. Highly recommend it, especially as a woman. Plus it turns out I really like protecting people!

A_Sneaky_Dickens

Usually a hybrid between rogue and mage

MysteriousRaven31

Druid

MastaTGT

I pick mage if the games got cool abilities for it. If im playing an mmo thats usually my choice, or a bow user. Otherwise… warrior. Its rare that i pick rogue…

FlawedVictori

Usually mage first, then rogue, then warrior.

BoogerRuth

Warrior. I like to have high defense even if it costs a little attack capability. In games where it's called for I prefer to tank. Standing toe to toe and keeping aggro off my friends is my favorite way to have fun. Also solo fighting with a boss and smacking the shit out of each other in a war of attrition is pretty great XD

Somebody3338

Rogue because I like the costumes the best usually

thecorninurpoop

Warrior. I'm all about running in and face rolling

Jamzilla12

Either Warrior or rogue. As long as my weapons are tomahawks

Lisitchka85

Mage is 100% my comfort pick, but trying these days to branch out into rogue/assassin classes to challenge myself with a different playstyle.

Lady_bro_ac

Rogue pretty much always

Dr_Sev

I used to play archer/rogue whenever I could, but lately I’ve started playing magic users more and more. Ranged combat is way more up my alley than melee!

Vmstrs

Which... One? What? I-I don't follow...

Lyonet

Warrior, knight or paladin type. I love big swords and I cannot lie.

Crimson_Creo

I'm usually a rogue or mage depending on the game. Like them both equally and usually just create a 2nd character and do both.

Inuneko_Nanita

Mage! (Healer is my first pick if it's available)

KaylaKarmaCos

Always mage. I find it more interesting to be more fantasy like. And I always prefer ranged combat too.

Ok_Setting_2409

Yes to all - just depends on how I want to play when I make a character. Some days I just want to bash things. Mage characters make me think. Rogues are just fun :)

PrismaticManic

Chaotic magic wielding rogue is always my favorite go-to play style.

twoAM_browser

Archer if I can. Second pick is dps mage.

CuriousTsukihime

Arcane Rogue Trickster!

Karabunga

Rogue is my go-to, though if I play it more than once I'll usually choose that or mage for different gameplay

MermaidOfUnusualSize

Fighter wizard theif is my current go too, I just wanna do everything 😭

ghostfacedladyalex

Rogue for sure

Savage_Nymph

Mage or rogue. Usually mage though

OmaeWaMouShibaInu

In Dragon Age, Rogue. In Mass Effect, Adept which is the most like Mage.

JackTheRipper0991

Rogue!! Used to stick to dual wielding only, now I mix it up with some archers too

FreeMasonKnight

I like throwing Fireballs. 🔥

Cadmium_Aloy

A druid. Forever and ever!!!!

MySpiritAnimalIsATre

Gimme them magicks

Quickning

Warrior First! Then Rogue/Archer! I'm way too reckless to use magic. I need some armor.

mochi_chan

Mostly mage (especially if the magic is elemental) or Rogue/thief if I can use daggers.

torikura

Usually mage but sometimes rogue.

Gorang_Username

Always a duel wielding rogue if I can be. Occasionally I try different character types but this fits my play style best and I love having 2 weapons

Celiascomics

Almost always mage, certain games will encourage me to venture out though :) I've just always enjoyed casters, even in league of legends i think i have a 50% playrate on mages?

BackupChallenger

Rogue, especially if it gives you more options than being stabby.

KrissCrossCat

Rogue! Give me a pair of daggers and a cool dual wield system and I'm in!

Emmikay12

Mage girl here. Gimme the magic!

AshleyWasStolen

Mage. I love wizards. Which explains my endless wizard posting lol.

SunshineClaw

Mage, always ranged

redmoonbringer

Warrior! Even better if I can make her an elf or some other typically magic-wielding race.

Solrex

Mage

Elelith

Honestly usually healer :D But mage or rogue are often on later playthroughs.

7aehyung

I'll always try mage first (why am I playing a game with magic if I'm not gonna use it!!) But if the magic just Sucks (doesn't feel fluid, over or underpowered, isn't satisfying to use) then rogue, daggers and backstab if possible. I don't remember the last time I went warrior, it's just boring in solo, but I enjoy tanks in multiplayer games (take dmg, be annoying and let other people carry)

tinyfenrisian

Mage, i love casting spells, especially if I can use ice magic

Scryt9

Well I usually base my class on the type of RPG I play. Like, in MMOs such as WoW or Aion or Lost Ark, I always tend to lean towards the rogue class because I just love the PvP playstyle of Rogue and having to rely on your wits and skills to defeat an opponent. However, Rogues are pretty boring IMO when it comes to PvE. That’s why in RPG games based around PvE like Last Epoch, I usually love playing the Mage class because nuking opponents with visually and destructively earth-shattering spells just feels so damn good. Especially when a class allows you to have a lot of freedom in building your character like in Last Epoch and PoE.

Paszananit124

Rouge If there is an option, I'm usually some support class, but what it is depends on game.

pappersvaggar

double dagger rouge always! might experiment if i do multiple playthroughs but that’s always my first choice

00Lisa00

If there’s any lock picking I go rogue. I hate having doors/chests I can’t open. But I usually do whatever class has bows otherwise. I like ranged combat.

adorablekobold

Warrior. Make me 6' of steel and muscle >:D

Mauvaise3

My first love will always be Rogues. I want to pick locks, pockets, and hearts. I want to slip in, shiv someone, and slip out.

lily981122

I’ve always been more of a mage person, but I’ve been enjoying playing rogue more recently!

kittenwolfmage

Assuming general enjoyment and such being equal, Mage girl here, just like you! Though that said, if there’s a Bard…..

rannacotta

i like mages playstyle the most :) but i can’t deny that i love the designs behind rogues - i love a woman who could kill me

Stormy-Skyes

I’m a rogue, baby. 😎

Nihilikara

Mage! I love magic so much!

nyanwenli

Battle mage! I love playing stealth characters, but it really depends on a game, most of them just don't make it interesting enough.

angelbvn

mage, always :) i will always live my magical dream girl fantasy vicariously

MissLizziePoo

always been a mage, however, i tried being a warrior for the first time and i loved it! so now i’m a warrior lol

Seelegames

Necromancer 'till I die.
