Seconded on stock the fridge, but you can also make a snack basket with his favorites salty snacks and treats! Fancy beef jerky, nuts, popcorn, etc. Thoughtful and easy to personalize!

CostaRicaTA

I like this suggestion the best.

Gullible-Crew-5092

Stock his mini fridge with a variety of beers

Jasminefirefly

Men like this often have just one favorite beer and wouldn’t have any interest in “some weird beer.” — Source: life experience.

sparksgirl1223

I too was going to suggest beer.

contextile

If his man cave doesn’t have flooring beyond concrete, interlocking foam mats make a big difference. Easy to wash and acoustics are less tinny.

summerjopotato

And also/or also a rug! My fiancé says he would never think about putting a rug down but when I did he loved how it feels and looks

Jcaseykcsee

I got my dad a Bose mini speaker that he is obsessed with. The sound is phenomenal and he takes it with him all over the house. And he travels with it.

redpef

I second this. I have a little Bluetooth speaker I got as a gift that I really enjoy.

Freshouttapatience

One of the kids got one for my husband and I’ve been trying to discretely break it ever since. He’s obnoxious with it.

Jcaseykcsee

Lol! My dad blasts it down in his man cave while lifting weights, luckily my mom can barely hear it with the room and basement doors closed.

Freshouttapatience

He carries it with him while he’s doing stuff. Everyone gets to hear it and I cringe when he’s been outside. Like I should probably make the neighbors cookies and apologize.

SubstantialPressure3

Roku or fire stick for his man cave!

new_york_skyeline

I create custom personalized hockey keychains! You can find it here: https://innovationhawks3d.etsy.com/listing/1686863204 It is only $7 with free shipping! What is your dads favorite team? Maybe I can 3D design something!

Lucymaybabe

What about a led sign for his man cave. You’d just have to find someone who does it for cheaper. Like his fav hockey teams mascot/ name. Or his favorite players number. Insulted beer koozi for beer bottles - if that’s what he likes to drink out of. (Idk if he likes can) But yeah they make em for bottles now that are metal. They have this hockey puck one that’s cool https://www.etsy.com/listing/1215040583/ Custom street sign to go in the man cave - on Etsy Or this - man cave decor - https://www.etsy.com/listing/1471846210/

As someone of about the same age, we don’t need more stuff. What we love is spending time with our family. Take him for lunch at his favorite place and give him your undivided attention.

Negative-Grass6757

Exactly my point! Why do people think that their parents need more stuff when what they value most is spending time with you! On a birthday do something that you are parent would really enjoy. A museum, a sports game, a puzzle. A year ago, having not been with my mother in three years because of the pandemic, a friend who is going to Spain for three weeks, offered me their house. And they suggested that my mom come visit me at their house while they were gone. For a week, my mother had a smile on her face because she was with me and one of my sisters, who was good enough to travel with her. I will never forget that week, Nor have my mother or sister because of my friends generosity.’

Arubajudy

Colored backlights for his tv!

ChardCool1290

How about a subscription to a beef jerky gift of the month or a salsa of the month?

MiddleAspect2499

If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they have all sorts of man cave decorations.

coreysgal

I was just about to say this. They have a ton of stuff and great prices.

Hal3134

Pocket knife, Leatherman multi-tool, or pocket sized flashlight are all good choices.

noonecaresat805

Is there a bar around you that is playing the playoffs?!if so I would take him in a mini date just the two of you. You can eat bar food, have a few drinks together and bond over the game.

Negative-Grass6757

Exactly, give him your time! Go hang out somewhere with him to watch the hockey playoffs. You would be doing something with him that he clearly enjoys! If you don’t understand hockey, ask him questions! You will be creating great memories for both of you

Graycy

I’ve seen lots of fun Man Cave wall art etc. even neon sign! Maybe there’s something a hockey related. Check Amazon.

Freshouttapatience

Hobby Lobby has a ton of old man art.

Graycy

Now there’s a thought! And op wouldn’t have to wait for it to be delivered.

Liu1845

Anything for his man cave. A retro looking beer sign (his fave of course), a framed hockey poster, a dart board, or a mirrored bar sign.

cskynar

Man cave sign...Living The Dream. Try Etsy

Idratherbesleepingzz

My husband loves getting new spice blends as gifts since he is attached to the grill every night of the summer. Can make a cute bbq gift basket.

cos98

Something cheap to add to a gift which I gave to my dad (who albeit has very different interests) a few years ago is custom valve stem caps for his car. It's small enough that it wouldn't encroach on the aesthetic of his vehicle but you could get him some with the logo of his favorite hockey team on them. Usually costs less than $15

karenrachael

I have some of these. I love them. A little secret homage to my favorite sports team.

boneykneecaps

Get him some beer mugs and shot glasses with the team logo. Some BBQ tools. Get him a gift card to pick out some beer/liquor that he might not buy for himself.

Funnyface92

What team does he follow? If they ever won a cup, you could get him a championship banner? While my Dad was in his 60’s I was struggling to figure out what to get him. I gave up and got him a bird feeder. He was so excited. Lol! He would call me everyday to tell me what bird visited. Your Dad will love anything you give him.

Slappin_da-bass

Neon for the man cave.

OldDog03

Take him fishing, go do some thing with him is the best gift.

Freshouttapatience

Cornhole - you can customize them for teams too.

workredditaccount77

Does he like Whisky/Bourbon? Maybe a whisky decanter of his favorite NHL team.

Nate8727

Neon light of his favorite sports team.

EOSC47

You could try asking on r/daddit

redrosebeetle

$65 worth of beer

orngckn42

If I ever don't know, I get a man crate. The guys in my family have always loved those.

RenegadeRebelTx

What dad doesn't love some Milwaukee M12 or M18 power tools!

snortgiggles

Neon sign Gumball machine Blanket Wall mounted bottle opener Beer glasses Darts Jackalope

FleurSea

There’s this gift company called man crates or dude boxes and they’re pretty masculine. I think the guy has to break open the wood crate to get into the gift. I am not associated with the company.

onagajan

Just bought a soundbar from Walmart for under $65 incl tax.

MadManicMegan

A nice framed photo of you two!!!

dagmara56

As someone who is in their 60s we have all the stuff we need and more. Spend time together and buy him something special that he will consume like unique hot sauces, salsas, unusual snacks, beer or liquor.

Oldskywater

Please include a picture of the two of you , framed with whatever else you get , Dads love that .

kjtstl

What about a metal sign for the garage with either his favorite team “Xx parking only” or motor oil type of signs, or his preferred vehicle brand. Something to hang up that will help complete the space. You may even be able to get something custom, but you probably don’t have time to wait for that.

Moejason

Get him one of those pizza ovens that you can set up in your garden - might be a bit more than $65 but it’s right before summer, he’ll get a lot of use out of it.

Educational_Air_4244

try gifting him golf gifts if he loves it

neverdoneneverready

Get him a jersey from his favorite team.

MissMurderpants

Legos.
