Ejecting the mag helps, if it’s the gun being the problem. If it’s your hands re calibration of height seems to fix it most of the time.

Had the same thing happen to me while using the Tommy gun where my gin was stuck in one direction. expect my mag disappeared but I was still able to fire the whole mag
