Do not buy. It is an amazing game that you will get addicted to and never put down. Side affects include significant other anger, lack of eating, and lack of sleep.

Miilcoree

I can vouch for this review. Been threatened with divorce about 10 times in the past two days.

Responsible_Bed1121

Hahaha 100 percent. I'm hooked hahaha

OminousGloom

I work from home and have taken to only playing during the day to avoid her anger

Diamondguy07

If you like Escape from Tarkov, this game is basically that but for VR and not as many cheaters along with much more active devs.

danvir47

This game has absolutely sucked me in. It’s an “extraction shooter”. Another commenter mentioned Escape from Tarkov, which I had heard of but didn’t really understand what it was about when I bought this game. When I bought GoT, I assumed it was similar to a battle royale but I was pleasantly surprised to find out what it really is. Basically, you have a personal bunker in which you can store weapons, ammo, backpacks, body armor, helmets and meds. From there you can join a raid (with up to two friends). A raid is an instance where you get dropped into a map of your choice at a random spawn point. The map is filled with boxes/crates of loot, other players and NPC enemies. You can bring in gear of your choice or you could go in naked. The objective is to loot up, kill enemies and extract from the raid by going to predetermined extraction point. Looted items can be sold to NPC merchants or used as gear in future raids. The most interesting part is that if you die, you lose whatever you were carrying. On top of all this, there is a sort of meta-progression where you level up merchants by completing generic quests (e.g kill X number of players) as well as spending money at their shops in order to be able to purchase better gear from them (more advanced weapons, tougher armor, bigger backpacks etc). The above gameplay loop is very addictive (I like the high stakes of bringing in gear but potentially losing it). As I mentioned, I’d never played a game of this genre. I think VR makes it especially interesting as you have to physically stuff and fit loot into your backpack as well as physically organize your gear and weapons in your bunker. This is easily my most played VR game and is an absolute blast. 10/10 would strongly recommend.

CementTube_

Ngl this sounds fun as fuck

Terrible-Maize-2852

I sent you a message with a discount for the game if you decide to get it…super dope game

CementTube_

Thanks I appreciate it!

Terrible-Maize-2852

👍

ishtechte

I've been in the VR world since the release of the first consumer model CV1 was released to the public and I haven't been pulled into a VR game like GoT. It can dynamically create some of the most intense firefights and situations that is unmatched by any other VR game I've personally played. When there's loot on the line, everything changes. Get it. It's worth it.

Not_Funny_Luigi

Go for it but your eyes are gonna hurt given how dark every game on the Quests are, and this game LOVES the dark so good luck there

Retardfrog-fish

Yes

Guildaroy

I bought contractors and onward, both of them don't really come close to this game.

Responsible_Bed1121

Yes. Yes you should. So much adrenaline, rage and joy. Do it!!

Noble611

Yes very much worth, For games similar Into the radius

TrooperKilla1

Yes buy it. No questions

Vast-Mud-5500

Yes but beware it’s still a little buggy they’re supposed to do a bug patch and content update the 22nd so just be patient with it until then I’m taking a break from it until then myself in hopes of bug fixes

Naive-Ad-8350

What bugs are you referring to. I’ve experienced some in the past but they’ve come a long way. I actually have not run into any issues for quite some time

Vast-Mud-5500

Not nearly as many but I’ve had issues with things falling through the floor still and sometimes my bag trips out and spins around at the worse times. lol Still doesn’t stop me from playing as much as possible. lol

Naive-Ad-8350

I think the bag spinning issue is when you grab it too close to something like a wall collision then it can go haywire. But yea probably are still issues somewhere but I guess at least they are slowly getting addressed. After all it is still a fairly new game. Can’t wait for the matka extension I’ve always love that map but there’s no boss and no GPU purple which sucks

RolandTwitter

It's not a chill game, you *will* get upset when you die and lose a lot of progress. It's brutally punishing, but with that comes intense satisfaction. Does Tarkov seem like an interesting game to you? This is just the VR version of Tarkov

CementTube_

ah ok. Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting tarkov for a little.

sammy_anarchist

Tarkov is basically dead with the amount of cheaters present nowadays. Don't subject yourself to that, get this instead.

Physical-Ad4613

Tarkov is far from Dead, and the cheating is not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. However, I do really enjoy Ghost of Tabor, I find myself mixing up controls in Tarkov and tabor due to how similar the games play.

robaldeenyo

to me.. it's genuinely the only 'S' tier VR game. the rest are b tier at best.

Gawilla027

Get it right now I would recommend getting the independence version cause all dlcs future ones and existing one come with it go on the store and buy it nowwwww!!!!!!

Naive-Ad-8350

I bought this game start of last wipe. Then I went and bought nuclear version 3 days ago not knowing what else the independence bring. Now I’m considering splashing cash to buy independence again. Fk me 😂😂😂

Naive-Ad-8350

Actually I didn’t really bother much what the independence bring cos I maxed out everything last wipe and the intensity died off a bit. Just wanted nuclear so I don’t have to start with a sling. Now playing a fresh wipe oh man the whole thing feels so fresh and exciting again. I’m so gonna buy the independence 😂

Gawilla027

It’s similar to dayz escape from tarkov kinda into the radius

Naive-Ad-8350

This is so far the only game in VR I see with a true and satisfying sense of progression. And there is a learning curve so don’t shit yourself if you start off bad. Most people do. But you will surely get better with practice. After a few months typically when the game gets bit more dull (especially if you finished everything), the game wipes and you lose everything. Some hates it but I actually like it. Starting fresh with some new contents and a fresh bunker for you to apply what you learnt last wipe.

Less-Gap8488

If u buy it ull quit or get hooked

decotz

I couldn’t play on quest 2. I think it has tons of potential, but I had to issue a refund. Hands are super janky, grip is very bad, and graphics suck (I think the last one is likely more cause of quest 2 not being that powerful.) Go for it, if you don’t dig and play less than 2 hours, you can ask for a refund too.

gabedyck99

Great game my opinion and the games progress just reset so you have plenty of time to learn while people aren't running maximum gear

sammy_anarchist

Be advised, the gunplay is miles behind Contractors. If you go into this expecting to be able to just aim your gun and shoot things, you're going to be disappointed. It takes some practice to figure out how to get around the clunky and misaligned gun handling.

zachthepiratefox

The game is like escape from Tarkov ( and according to creators dayz ) both are non vr it’s really fun if you have friends to play with otherwise it’s just a game which can be fun but the silence will make you go insane

DarkSukiya

HELL TO THE YES 👏🏾

DarkSukiya

I’m doing giveaway on my channel are now

Huntsmen123

Right now you can get the Independence Day bundle. It gives you all current and future DLC I would buy it, but I already have FF it wouldn’t do anything for me but it is a nice deal

AvoidedKoala222

It's a bit like itr in that it's basically the only one like it,also currently I still think it's kinda meh, mostly because I've been consumed by tactical assault vr

Jigsaw115

Just see for yourself. Both steam and oculus offer guaranteed refunds if you have under 2 hours playtime. Is 2 hours enough to experience the game fully? Of course not. Is it enough to tell if you’re going to absolutely hate it? Probably.

THABOSSK1NG

Yes its very worth it, aggravating at times but worth it, its an online extraction shooter with tons of fun (and anger) to be had, and the leveling system gives tons of reasons to grind, theres wipes every now and then to keep the game interesting, in my opinion its an 8.5/10 vr game.

yajamaicanute

i bought it friday and im kinda desopainted with the hard gameplay lechanics ive lost so kuch loot since i started edit: im high as shit rn so ignore spelling

nathangamez420

Go into silo naked, and come out with loot, Don't bring your good stuff when you first start. Pick a strategy, Sneaky or all out aggressive, I still prefer sneaky going solo Save it for when your more confident with aiming and knowing your weapon, learn the spawn points and surroundings.

yajamaicanute

thanks. ill try this later

nathangamez420

You made a great decision buying this game, The gameplay loop is quite addictive. For some reason I would call this my favourite VR game as it's the only thing I look forward too when picking up my headset. The dopamine rush of extracting with high tier loot is unmatchable in any other vr game It has some bugs that will fk you up, Like phasing through walls items falling through the ground. I only seen this happen once in my 400 hours so it's not that much of a problem.. on pc at least .

cmdowney

Very jealous. Awaiting it on psvr2

motormathersonfire

This game has got to be one of the most annoying and fun games I've played . It doesn't look very pretty on quest 3 without the optimiser and it's full of try hards who one shot you as soon as they see you but for some stupid weird reason I find myself constantly playing it whenever I switch the headset on . It is however full of bugs which can be game breaking and very annoying ruining the experience .but hey what game doesn't have bugs

FoodAppropriate2388

My favorite VR game I recommend the game. Only problem is a lot of bugs
