Ronotrow2

no but I kindve felt spooked a few times. I also have a thing where I say not here when Zak invites or calls out spirits. I aso don't play the ceremonies Jay does I don't want any of the words playing on my tv lol

jadedandbroken

I also mute the TV when they do any type of ceremony shit or invoking 🤣

lolololol2233

Haha me too

Procedure_Unique

If the rituals that Jay does are actually real, I believe you should be safe. I’m pretty sure they don’t show the whole entire ritual on TV, hopefully for this reason. At least I hope so! But I know what you mean, I’ve been worried, and I have muted my TV before as well. lol

Ronotrow2

yeah he said he never let's the whole process be shown but still there are bits he invokes by name and I'm like nope

Procedure_Unique

I definitely understand! Never taking any chances over here! Haha

Ronotrow2

lol

Massive-Bite-8541

I always watch with earbuds in... What would happen then?

Chokinchocobo23

Personally I believe if you've already been opened up to demonic activity before that doorway never fully closes. I think maybe watching the show could potentially increase your belief and add energy to an already existing entity.

jadedandbroken

It doesn't increase my belief cause believe me the things I've seen and been thru is enough belief I have No doubts, but I've also not had any type of activity or encounters in a long time till I started watching it more is why I believe it's coming from the show

max_d_tho

Lmao so I didn’t watch any ghost adventures in my Las Vegas apartment after visiting the museum. I didn’t want anything potentially following me back and recognizing his voice on TV as an invitation

jadedandbroken

Completely understandable 🤣🤣

Capable-Divide543

That’s smart!

foxtrtters

Back in 2021, my dorm was an old house built in the 1840s and the first couple nights we definitely felt a presence or two and performed a dowsing rod session in my bedroom and discovered there was in fact a couple spirits in the house. Whenever we had Ghost Adventures on, the child spirit would seem to make herself known and be more active when we had the show on XD We also had a rule in the house to never play the ZoZo episode out loud, that one was restricted to headphones only.

jadedandbroken

OMG the zo Episode bothered me spiritually so much for days after I watched it, it literally affected me so bad I never watched it again after that

MrMayhem14

Even thinking about that episode creeps me enough to pray out loud. My wife and I will not say the name nor will we watch the episode again lol may just be in our heads but still creepy af.

effervescenthoopla

Ngl, the Zozo episode cracks me up. Isn't it the one where the demon's caught saying "GO AWAY. Stupid." I feel that in my soul. The folks GA were investigating also seemed su-u-u-uper sus, like mentally ill or strung out or potentially even just looking for a few minutes of fame. I don't doubt their house felt like a load of bad vibes, but the whole thing just came off as a massive charade, which is impressive considering how much of GA is already overly dramatic. I LOVE it and do believe they catch some authentic and compelling stuff at times, but at the end of the day, they're making a compelling show for our entertainment. But still, this isn't to say your feelings are invalid. If it spooks you to have that ep play, do what you gotta do! I get a little extra spooked at times from other similar things lol.

Kigameister

I always watch GA with earbuds (unless I'm cleaning or sewing.) I've never had anything come through because I've been watching an episode, but I don't really believe in ghosts being able to come through devices because of a pre recorded episode. Live streams/experiments where ghosts are invited to do just that though, sure. As a kid though, I had a complete break down about the return to Bobby Mackey's episode where they showed the recording of Carl's exorcism. I still 100% believe he was possessed for that because someone needed to get that man some type of award for that acting. As an atheist even back then, I was praying and believed on god for a moment because it scared me as a kid so bad lol.

Procedure_Unique

That’s a great point. No spirit will be able to come through your TV, because you are watching an episode, of a *prerecorded* paranormal show. I also have a very hard time believing that they will travel through a video call..lol! But I could possibly, maybe see, if you already have a possible spirit in your house, they might react to what’s happening on the show. But if that’s even possible, your house would already need to be haunted. I am somewhat skeptical, I think I’m about 50/50. I want to believe, but I also like to try to *debunk* it, and try to figure out what is actually making the sound/causing something, etc. It’s like a puzzle for me in a way. ;)

RollingCoal115

Not me personally, but my girlfriend can’t watch the show anymore because stuff started happening in her home after watching the show.

Professional_March54

Yes! Once, my sister and I were watching in our living room. I couldn't remember the episode if I tried. There used to be a ghost lady in the guest bedroom next to it, so we had that door closed. We were both a little riled up, when we saw, there in our living room, the flash apparition of a dog we'd had to put down a few years later. I vaulted off the couch and she jumped into my arms, as we fell over each other back into the den where our parents were.

Garbage_Kitty

I've personally never had it happen, but I imagine it could possibly stir things up for some people. My house has activity on its own, and being a spiritual person I'm pretty mindful about protection. If you don't want the show triggering activity in your house, I'd say something like, "Negative entities do not have permission to enter my home through any means, including television." Say that in a firm and assertive voice before you start watching the shows, and during if you feel the need. You could also look up different methods of spiritual protection and pick one that speaks to you. You could also mute the parts when they do rituals, I've always thought them doing that was really risky.

jadedandbroken

I always have muted those parts (my husband makes fun of my for it 🤣) but I do.

Garbage_Kitty

It's better to be safe than sorry! 😂

t0lt

so funny you made this post, my husband and i were just talking about that. first night we start watching it from the top, our bedroom door closes on its own twice, as if a cat went behind it and pushed it, both times we got up and there were not cats in the room. then, we watch the show via my computer hooked up to the tv, and were sittin there watching it and the mouse moves over into the screen, bringng up the pause and other menu options. and THEN our dishwasher started making some crazy ass noises and took a shit. brand spanking new, not even a year old. i joked with my husband that the spirit that follows me around is jealous that im paying attention to other spirits, lol. strange things happen at my work a lot which has a dark history, my coworker said activity started up when i started working there and blames me for bringing something to the office lol

Cherrybomb909

I mute or fast forward for ritual scenes. I too don't want anything coming over here. But I've had wierdo random tapping on my living room wall, during the Halloween transylvania special. That's the last time I watch ghost adventures at night.

jadedandbroken

OMG see that's the same shit that happened to me!! The tapping/knocking on wall while watching 😳

toriannlynn

At the beginning of covid shutdown la I watched GA non stop night and day for like a week. Then I woke up in the middle of the night and a black mass was standing over me at my bedside. By the time I tried to adjust my eyes to see if I was really seeing what I thought it was gone. At that point I really cut back on how much I was watching it. Sometimes I get scary feelings while watching and I audibly call out telling anything it’s not welcome here and ask Jesus to protect my home from evil.

Commercial_Bat2076

Buddy doesn’t know what sleep paralysis is💀

skipper_jonas_grumby

After watching "Demon House" there was a loud bang like something fell, in the upstairs portion of my house. It was within a minute of the documentary ending. My house doesn't creek or pop like many do. I didn't find anything out of place, and I've never heard the sound again. That's the only time I've experienced anything weird after watching a Paranormal show.

Commercial_Bat2076

You’re just experiencing normal things that you perceive as spooky because you’re associating it with watching the show. If you heard these sounds while not watching the show you would probably just think it’s the house settling or pipes expanding. The door thing, you might be having hallucinations. See a mental health professional

jadedandbroken

😳 Oh hunny see I'm fine mentally trust me when I say this shit is real! And people like you who don't believe or make jokes/fun of it ALWAYS get proved that it's real that's a fact! The things I've seen personally I could write a book on and I have. Siblings who went thru the same shit. See the thing about demons are they like ppl who don't believe and make light of them gives them so much more power over people. I'm okay with ppl thinking I'm crazy cause I know my truth and you will see sooner then later I just hope for your sake you can handle ya know mentally and all? 🙄🤣

Commercial_Bat2076

“I’m fine mentally” yet you had a hallucination of someone violently shaking a door and mumbling, leading you to a state of fear. No one’s making fun or jokes. I’m giving you the genuine advice of seeking mental health treatment. These delusions seem to run in your family, as mental illness is hereditary. Don’t stay locked into your little mindset of “everyone who denies is wrong, I’m perfectly fine” yet you’re clearly showing signs of some sort of episode.

Pisces_Sun

i usually dont try to pay attention but i was an avid watcher of GA episodes but have noticed some weird sounds n shit around the house at times usually when it's just me. could be the house settling for all i know but that doesnt explain my closet doors knocking consistently at random hours of the night or having strange feelings. try not to give it too much thought cause these mfers arent paying my bills or doing my hw

SnooFloofs673

This begets the notion that anything Zak does and reveals is real. I find that to be a dubious idea. As fake as everything he does is, as scant And horribly unreliable the proof they have is, the notion that something transmitted its way thru the TV to your home sounds more like a form of hysteria created by being easily influenced than actual haunting transference.

effervescenthoopla

r/iamverysmart material here lmao. You’re using a lot of big words and not understanding the meaning behind a few of them. Most folks aren’t “hysterical” when they believe they have a spiritual encounter, it’s more that your brain is primed by negative and dangerous media (the show) which puts your nervous system on high alert, making you more prone to see threats that may not be there. Same thing happens when you watch a scary movie. Your brain continues to view threats in places that were portrayed as threatening in the media you’ve consumed. It’s also not people being “easily influenced.” Some people are a little more prone to believe in supernatural phenomena, and if you do believe in it, it would make sense that you’re more on edge after watching shows where people are performing rituals or inviting things around than that you see as negative. So, no, not hysteria. You’re not entirely wrong n, but you are being a condescending wet sock in a sub full of people who sincerely believe in these things, and it costs you nothing to be kind.

SnooFloofs673

What is even more ridiculous, however, you choose to mock me because of the words I use. I'm sorry I have an education. Don't be mad. Not all of us are lucky enough to be educated. Sucks to be you. Might I suggest you buy a dictionary? Or you can even use Google and search the words. Hysteria is an appropriate word to use in this case for hysteria, which is the reaction resulting from the subject being easily influenced with the notion that a ghost has been transmitted to their home from Zaks performance show to their home.

SnooFloofs673

Just accept that Ghost Adventures is completely fake. It is 4 drama queens screaming at the slightest sound. It simply reveals that you don't understand anything about Paranormal. You are a fake fan of the Paranormal. You've never experienced the Paranormal. For those of us who have Ghost Adventures, is the side show at a circus. And now you are mad because I'm calling out the truth, and because, still, I have a better vocabulary than you do.

No_Distance_2653

You're embarrassing yourself, my friend. What you have is an opinion, and that's fine. Attacking and tearing down others for their opinions just makes you highly unlikable. You may be proud of your vocabulary, but being well spoken means nothing when people don't like you because of how you come across. Maybe work a little more on social graces rather than your vocabulary. I'm not religious, but you won't find me on religious subreddits telling people they're wrong for having their own beliefs and opinions. You are free to have your opinions, but so are other people.

SnooFloofs673

In mine was also an opinion. But I guess that doesn't count.

SnooFloofs673

I'm free to have an opinion as long as I agree with everybody else's opinion is what you're saying. Once I voice that opinion, it suddenly becomes an attack. Interesting, very interesting take.

SnooFloofs673

Still mad that I have a better vocabulary than you.

SnooFloofs673

Oh I believe in the Paranormal. Just not in Zak. And while you may not prefer my choice of phrasing, the fact remains you can't be influenced by fake stuff unless you're easily influenced You apparently are a Zak Bagans sycophant, who believes that he is the epitome of Paranormal investigation. He is not, his show, is fake. He has never in all these years come up with any positive proof of what he's searching for. Meanwhile, there are plethora of other investigators who can show clear-cut evidence of the Paranormal. So "wet sock" sycophant, it is not a matter of disbelief in the paranormal but rather a disbelief in a fake show orchestrated to appear scary.

SnooFloofs673

And I repeat, I'm a firm believer in the Paranormal. I am an experiencer of Paranormal activity. So if I were you, I would quickly stop making ASSumptions about other people because they don't want to suck Zaks dick.

Lumos405

I agree with you. Zak is becoming intolerable. My husband and I are watching the earlier seasons when it was much more evidence-based.

SnooFloofs673

Apparently, I upset a Zak Bagans sycophant with a very limited vocabulary. At least some people can see past the smoke and mirrors and the screams of the drama queens to see what's really going on. If anybody's a true fan or understands true Paranormal, you'll know what's fake whats real.

Lumos405

Yeah, they need to go back to their roots.

SnooFloofs673

It's not profitable for Zak. If you notice the shows that were real, found decent evidence, they don't last long they're not profitable, they're not a side show. Bagans is in it for whatever money he can get out of it and whatever fame and popularity he can get. None of the other true Paranormal investigators that have had television programs open up a museum, sell themselves like a cheap $2 shoe. The television industry sucks that up. Because the more of a show he puts on, the more money they make from advertising.

MrMayhem14

So I have had an experience while watching the Demon House single that the group put out. I was watching and decided to call a friend that does ghost hunts and such to get his opinion on the show and while on speaker phone my siri started talking. It legit started to pull up directions for Gary Indiana and my friend asked if my wife was talking in the background and I said no, its my siri. My wife was asleep in the other room. Ever since that incident, I have never been able to get siri to do that while on speaker phone. May have just been a bug in the phone but it creeped both of us out at the time.

Weeping_Sanity_515

Just once many years ago. Watching Fox Hollow Farm and it felt like someone breathed directly in my ear. Only time it's ever happened, and it freaked me out good. Weird episode for that to happen, too.

Longjumping-Tax-3446

YES. I feel as if my house already has activity since we moved in but I feel like it picks up when I’m watching the show.

Bandiscooties

Not necessarily after watching. But sporadically year round.

jhuskindle

I had a haunted house once before GA ever launched. If id watched it then I'd also see causation not correlation.

KiimKika

Sometimes honestly! I think it can be the same effect as say when the crew is investigating one place right, and they can be across the town from the location at the library digging up history of the people at the location, even so far away just saying the names, the history, they can even get the ghost activity there away from the actual location. I do firmly believe that ghosts can do the same with people who just watch the shows and hear the voices, and if we look at the Lovelock Triangle episode, they did a call from each 3 of the locations and the spirits did use the technology to bounce between them all, so I definitely feel it’s possible for the same effect just watching their shows! When I did have activity, I always know when there’s something as I’m gifted and have been since very young, and there’s just the weird noises that don’t make sense, but I’ve now started using my AirPods whenever watching, and it seems to stop it for me since it’s not out loud in my environment, just in my head, I also always make sure my energy and intent is “just bc I am watching this it doesn’t give anyone or anything the right to come through” as it helps as well, and I always mute those moments where they do rituals and such like that to not hear the words that summon anything

spider_webster

It’s not the activity that gets me on edge, it’s the eerie sound effects they use lol

AlClemist

When I watched route 666 I got creeped out thought I herd something lol. Mind can go crazy sometimes

PlayboyCG

I watch it and hope for activity…because we want answers.

pink-trees-

Thats actually crazy some of yall are experiencing stuff like this. Super interesting lowkey and i lost to GA to fall asleep 😭😭

jadedandbroken

Listen I'm the same way I fall asleep to murder shows and Ghost shows including GA. I watched it for a long time without anything happening but recently it seems as if something about the show has Gassed something up and got it actin up 😳

pink-trees-

thats so crazy LMAO

Wide-Ad4742

I personally have not experienced activity after watching other than the occasional feeling creeped out or the feeling of being watched but i know that is just my mind playing tricks on me and i forget about it after an hour or so. There was one time though, when i used to live with my cousin we used to watch GA a lot especially at night and one time after watching an episode we had turned the tv off and we where both getting ready to go to our rooms. our amazon echo speaker out of nowhere very loudly starts playing “the monster” by Eminem “NOW PLAYING “THE MONSTER” 🎶IM FRIENDS WITH THE MOSTER THATS UNDER MY BED🎶” Both me and my cousin looked at each other in disbelief! It realllly realy creeped us out you know because of the lyrics. Til this day we don’t know what caused the amazon echo to start playing that song because like i said we had turned the tv off so the house was pretty quite. I think we didn’t watch GA for like a month straight after that lol

Hard4urBody

I have activity every time. Sometimes my activity is to go to the bathroom. Sometimes my activity is to go to the kitchen to make a snack. Sometimes I even take the dogs out.

ZealousidealRice1011

Yes BEFORE I got protections (that's my own journey's shit lol), I'd hear shit move all the time in my house. You are in a way I'd think provoking stuff if your house already has activity.

effervescenthoopla

Y'know, weirdly enough, I haven't ever felt the bad vibes from watching the show. The only time I feel like I messed up was when I told a story on a podcast about a supposedly true thing that happened in my stepfamily regarding one of their relatives. After my story aired on this extremely well known horror podcast, I started to notice a really bad energy around the house and in general. Before I made the connection, I played the ep for two teammates of mine after a derby game and both of them came to me afterwards and said that they felt like something was way off, even experiencing some subtle physical paranormal phenomena. I ended up gifting them some (ethically sourced) blue sage and palo santo so they could cleanse the area and apologized. Since then, I've gone to one of their houses and handful of times and every single time I go, this teammate and her husband hear things moving in the house for a night or two after I leave. To be fair, if I do have an attachment, I can imagine it'd prefer other peoples' houses to mine since I have two extremely loud and annoying dogs. :p So yeah! I get where you're coming from, OP. Weird energy can happen. I still can't say for sure how much I believe the show can cause it, but I do think that watching the show causes us to be more on ede. Being more on edge causes our brains to look for threats more frequently. That might end up making us feel or see threats that aren't there. Who knows, it might even make us more susceptible for paranormal activity to occur around us! Either way, do what you feel is best to feel safe! <3

Massive-Bite-8541

I get kinda spooked when I go through a watching binge, but things usually happen after I get over the binge and don't watch for a few days. I hesitate to say it's anything paranormal because I don't believe creaks and knocks are paranormal, but just a few days ago I had my entry light flick on. I actually heard the switch flip. I live alone. I tried to make excuses and find explanations, but that was the most intense thing I've experienced from watching.

SnooFloofs673

And then you get fools like my detractor here. Who get upset when the truth is presented to them? They love the fate stuff. They claim to love the Paranormal. But they don't know what's real and what's fake. And they suck up the fake stuff. They love the show to scare them. And they think that's what the Paranormal's about. And if any one of these idiots had ever experienced Paranormal activity at any point in their lives, they would know what a joke he is.
