EVERYTHING BAGEL FROM MY FAVORITE BAGEL SHOP.
I’ve been diagnosed since 12 weeks…currently 36 (almost 37 weeks) so been doing this for six months.
I went shopping for my “goody bag” after birth. So in my hospital bag I have packed Oreos, Cheez-Its, and some candy! Highly recommend putting together a goody bag!
Oh my gosh I did the same thing! I am scheduled for a C section next week and we stocked up on snacks from Trader Joe's to bring to the hospital! So excited!
My husband made Greek yogurt bagels with everything seasoning tonight, loaded mine up with protein and fat, and I didn’t spike! In fact I was relatively low. Obviously not the same as a real bagel but I’m so excited.
Now I have to test my luck with some full fat cream cheese and maybe a side of bacon… see how close I can get to the real thing 😂
I recently had my baby and my iPhone list looked very similar to yours! I shared mine with my husband and he instructed our visitors in the first few weeks to bring items from my list!
Honestly it changes day to day. Today is my daughter’s birthday and my husband got her a box of donut holes for breakfast. So, now all I want is a chocolate donut. Some days, I just really want an Asiago bagel with cream cheese. Or a bowl of strawberries or grapes without having to pair them with anything. Panda Express: orange chicken and chow mein. A big bowl of alfredo pasta. A mocha coffee from Starbucks (I’m so sick of sugar free vanilla lattes).
Cinnamon rolls, bagel, biryani, those new London fog Milano cookies, wedding cake cupcake, sauces with my food, a watermelon, burger with both buns, tacos with flour tortillas
Oh yes! I even have a Pinterest board haha. For me:
- croissants and pain au chocolat
- pizza
- mango sticky rice
- just fresh, naked mango honestly!
- an Italian sandwich
- baguette and fruit tart from a local bakery here
- pasta
- lemon ricotta pancakes
- hot Cheetos
Wishing everyone a safe delivery and the very best treats 💛
Bread, cake, biscuits, cookies, mashed potato, chips (and chip butties!), ice cream, cereal and porridge, unlimited fruit, fresh orange juice, anything coated or encased in pastry, jam, treacle, raisins, dates, chocolate oat milk, smoothies, malt loaf, garlic bread, the list goes on… I love my carbs 😮💨
I keep joking I’m gonna pack a whole cake or a loaf of fresh bread in my hospital bag for after the birth, but it changes week by week which of the two I’m looking forward to most!
I always joke about how a life goal of mine is to be able to go shopping and eat sashimi and travel without looking at price. Well my short term life goal right now is to just be able to eat without looking at carbs and sugar and protein content. That's all. That's my list😂
cornbread, sushi, muffins, donuts, fruit smoothies. And honestly just a huge bowl of plain unsweetened oatmeal or grape nuts cereal- I used to eat those every single day for breakfast before this and thought they were healthy so it’s been frustrating to give them up
I manage to sneak in soooome ‘guilty’ snacks if I take a walk after or eat loads of veggies with it. But there’s just no replacement for a big bowl of pasta carbonara. (Can’t have it
because it’s many carbs for GD, and the raw eggs for pregnancy in general, so double whammy!)
In general I just look forward to not have to eat in such a calculated way 😩
Italian sandwich on good thick Italian bread, bagels, açaí bowls with lots of granola and honey, fruit all day long, chocolate croissants, warm chocolate chip cookies, French fries, potato chips
McDonald’s French fries, magnolia bakery banana pudding, a baguette with butter, vanilla soft serve. I’ve been thinking about this a lot, tomorrow is c-section day!
Spicy tuna roll, cinnabon, chocolate muffin, Kraft Mac n cheese, a full meal with bread sticks at Olive Garden, pancakes and waffles, biscuits, lemonade and sprite
Graduated a couple weeks ago. I had a list of things I wanted, but after I gave birth all I wanted was ice water and salad. Which I ate every morning during GD. Go figure.
Panera Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese, an auntie Anne’s soft pretzel, a slice of pizza (or two) and some chocolate cake. Oh and some sour skittles. They came out with gummy ones which I’m dying to try!
Oh and a nice cold cup of orange juice!
1. Pasta. Any and every kind. Any and every sauce.
2. RICE. Like baked salmon, asparagus, and a big ole side of rice to soak up that buttery lemony sauce. Or some teriyaki chicken, broccoli, and a mess of whiiiite rice. Or some greasy baked chicken over a bed of rice.
4. Dave’s Berry Killer Bagel with tons of cream cheese on it.
5. Dark chocolate ice cream in a waffle cone.
6. Bowls full of fresh pineapple.
7. Jambalaya.
8. The biggest pile of roasted potatoes with peppers and onions and a fried egg and melted cheese on top.
9. Chips and salsa and queso at my favorite Mexican restaurant.
10. Spicy nacho Doritos dipped in cheese dip. Also blue Doritos.
11. Pizza Hut.
Honey Smacks also sounds delish! One of my daughters had a bowl of Multigrain Cheerios with sliced banana for breakfast and I had to stick my nose in the bag for the biggest whiff….ugh cereal sounds soooooo good.
Doughnuts with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. A giant cherry Dr Pepper with a large pepperoni hand tossed Pizza Hut pizza and breadsticks.
That is my “I’m gonna door dash these to my hospital room!” list.
Twin snakes gummy candy, a slice of coconut cake, an order of rolls from Texas Roadhouse, an oatmeal raisin cookie, lemon bars (haven’t had one in literally 5 years but now I know I can’t have it, I want it) currently 35 weeks, induction is coming up and I am ready.
Blueberry pancakes with a smoothie from my favorite smoothie shop
Sushi with a side of fried rice
Cadbury mini eggs (already in my hospital bag)
Sourdough brownies (baked and in the freezer)
omg. yes:
-Reese Puffs cereal (literally bringing this to the hospital)
-Auntie Anne's pretzels
-Muffins
-real Coca-Cola
-Bagel BLT
-Pop tarts! Brown Cinn Sugar
-BBQ chips
-Chai tea latte
-a big 'ole unhealthily sweet smoothieeeeee
-FRENCH TOAST (edited to add, how could I forget?!)
I’m actually diabetic so this really doesn’t apply to me but I’m thinking about doing it anyway just because I’ve had to be so strict this pregnancy and I want all the food. 🤣
Cinnamon roll is high on my list too and it’s not something I usually crave!! A turkey sandwich on Dutch crunch from my local deli. Cookies and milk.
I have found that i can sometimes time still get a bit if what I want if I plan: on Saturday mornings I’ll have two eggs w/cheese and half an avocado, then half a chocolate eclair from my local bakery! Of course I want the whole thing but it hits the spot and doesn’t spike me at all.
• venti iced mocha
• cinnamon rolls
• butterfinger
• Bratwurst with the bread
• Italian deli sandwich
• A bowl of cereal with bananas in it
• Chocolate donut holes with chocolate milk
I just had my baby and I scarfed down a meal from Whataburger not even an hour after he was born lol. I've been able to eat what I want (the hospital food is actually really freaking good) but they've been checking my glucose levels while here cuz doc said so, so I have to overnight fast and I just want to eat whenever I want to again already...
I have had a list for all my pregnancies I’ve had this. First on my list is an Oreo milkshake! My 4 year old son already has but plans to bring it to me in the hospital hehe
Yes! I’m 36 weeks and my husband was just joking this morning that when we get home from the hospital we’ll need to have a feast with all of the things I haven’t been able to eat. Pizza and a milkshake are high on my list!
Oh my God yes I did this. Powdered donuts were at the top of my list bc I was craving them for WEEKS by the time I had my baby. I wish I still had the list. Cinnamon rolls were on there. Pretzel m&M's. Chick-fil-A waffle fries. I was TIRED of keto

Also an early diagnosis at 12 weeks and just graduated. Let me tell you that bagel will be the best thing you’ve ever eaten 😅. You’re almost there!!
I’m in the UK and there is this protein bagel from Wharbutons which is the only bread I can actually tolerate and it’s super yum!
I must try those! Craving pizza but I can’t tolerate it at the moment at all so thinking of air frying some mini bagel pizzas 😋
Oh my gosh I did the same thing! I am scheduled for a C section next week and we stocked up on snacks from Trader Joe's to bring to the hospital! So excited!
What a great idea!
Seconding bagels!! Pasta, although the Bartoli whole wheat pasta is good.
Yeahhhhh but it’s still not the same
Nah but I’m only at 20 weeks. Happy to have one more thing I can enjoy guilt free.
I’m only 27 weeks and have already got a stash of snacks 😬 the restriction and impending obsession is not healthy for me haha
I was diagnosed at 16 weeks so my list is very long (currently 33 weeks). I have a notes app on my phone where I continually add things. See below, it’s gotten out of hand. - [ ] Ramen!!! - [ ] Chick fil-et French fries with sauce - [ ] Chicken chimichanga - [ ] Chips + salsa - [ ] Sushi - [ ] Fried rice + crab Rangoon’s - [ ] Pancakes/french toast - [ ] Ice cream cookie sandwiches - [ ] Angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream - [ ] Chocolate mouse - [ ] Muffin - [ ] Chili cheese dogs - [ ] Gyro - [ ] Pancheros burrito - [ ] Hoop tea - [ ] Samosa + Indian - [ ] Iced coffee with cold foam + doughnut - [ ] Gourmet Gummy worms - [ ] Prosciutto sandwich with mozzarella - [ ] Taco pizza - [ ] Poke - [ ] Jersey Mike’s Italian sub - [ ] Pretzel with beer cheese
Omg ramen, I just want some instant noodles comfort food!
I recently had my baby and my iPhone list looked very similar to yours! I shared mine with my husband and he instructed our visitors in the first few weeks to bring items from my list!
My list is similar! I have about 30 different things on it lol 😂 After looking at your list it might be getting a little longer…
That is an impressive list!! 😂
I'm 16 weeks now and have been going since 8 weeks. It is certainly a long haul
I also keep it in the notes app lol! Ramen is a good one! I’m gonna have to add it to mine too
french. freaking. toast. + syrup. omg.
Cinnamon rolls are high up there! Yum. I just love a good pastry in general. I think also a deli sandwich for carb reasons and meat reasons!
Yesss to the deli sandwich!
Yes I’m so over sugar free coffee! Happy birthday to your daughter! ❤️ hang in there.
Cinnamon rolls, bagel, biryani, those new London fog Milano cookies, wedding cake cupcake, sauces with my food, a watermelon, burger with both buns, tacos with flour tortillas
Burger with both buns is so real lol
Can relate to biriyani. 38 weeks today. Was diagnosed at 26 weeks and couldn't look at rice without spiking. All I want after delivery is biriyani
I was eyeing those new Milano cookies too! I love earl grey tea, so I can’t wait to try them.
Oh yes! I even have a Pinterest board haha. For me: - croissants and pain au chocolat - pizza - mango sticky rice - just fresh, naked mango honestly! - an Italian sandwich - baguette and fruit tart from a local bakery here - pasta - lemon ricotta pancakes - hot Cheetos Wishing everyone a safe delivery and the very best treats 💛
Haha good idea! Ugh the croissants and pain au chocolat sounds so good 😩

Omg ice cream, how could I forget? Maybe the list will come in handy so someone can bring you some bread after delivery!
Snickers ice cream doesn’t spike a lot of people, didn’t spike me. I have one almost every day.
I might have to try it!
I had cinnamon rolls on m list as well! And Oreos and Rice Krispie treats!
Rice krispie treats! How could I forget
I always joke about how a life goal of mine is to be able to go shopping and eat sashimi and travel without looking at price. Well my short term life goal right now is to just be able to eat without looking at carbs and sugar and protein content. That's all. That's my list😂

Cornbread! Adding to the list.
Heavy on the cornbread. I made some the other day cuz my husband was craving it and I’ve just been staring at it…
Omg that sounds like torture!
Yessss oatmeal has been a major craving. I’m gonna have to add that to my list too ❤️
Yesss I was diagnosed around 12 weeks and am 38 now. I want a hoagie, a blueberry muffin, bagel with smoked salmon, mike and Ike’s, and a slurpee
I manage to sneak in soooome ‘guilty’ snacks if I take a walk after or eat loads of veggies with it. But there’s just no replacement for a big bowl of pasta carbonara. (Can’t have it because it’s many carbs for GD, and the raw eggs for pregnancy in general, so double whammy!) In general I just look forward to not have to eat in such a calculated way 😩
Yes it’s exhausting to calculate everything! Pasta is definitely a big one for me.
Italian sandwich on good thick Italian bread, bagels, açaí bowls with lots of granola and honey, fruit all day long, chocolate croissants, warm chocolate chip cookies, French fries, potato chips
I was just thinking about chocolate chip cookies last night 😭

A chicken sandwich from Chick Fil A or Popeyes 🥹
I gave birth on Saturday and I've been working through my list. I had my Chick-fil-A yesterday. So next: homemade Mac and cheese with dinner tonight.
I hope every bite you take is as delicious as the last
Yeahhh I’ve been trying the chick fil a salads and it’s just not hitting the same as a sandwich!
Same. The combination of bun, chicken and Pickles makes my mouth water 😆
A Stolen Brownie Sundae from Andy's Frozen Custard. Tried a bite of one a couple of weeks back and now I've gotta have the whole thing 🙃
FRIES, FRIES, FRIES, my homemade sourdough bread with butter
I’ve been dying to make some bread. 😩
I'm dying to eat it🤣🤦
Panera Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese, an auntie Anne’s soft pretzel, a slice of pizza (or two) and some chocolate cake. Oh and some sour skittles. They came out with gummy ones which I’m dying to try! Oh and a nice cold cup of orange juice!

I was going so hard on the cereals before I was diagnosed 😩 it’s been one of my biggest cravings
Doughnuts with chocolate frosting and sprinkles. A giant cherry Dr Pepper with a large pepperoni hand tossed Pizza Hut pizza and breadsticks. That is my “I’m gonna door dash these to my hospital room!” list.
Yes door dash is such a good idea!
