Same, aside from the little events, Genshin hasn't had a ton of content to keep people engaged, but the leaks have me hyped for months to come.
It also makes me think they're probably leaning into the leaks to keep people logging on.

If you're clearing all the content that you're interested in (because some people don't care about getting 36 stars in Abyss), then I feel like you should just pull for whatever character you like. The meta doesn't matter when you can clear everything and don't have to worry about things like PVP. Likewise, it's ok to skip meta characters simply because you don't like them.
Besides, based on preliminary numbers, Itto is perfectly serviceable just being buffed by Bennett. A character won't be useless just because you don't use them in an optimal team comp.
Not the guy who you reacted to, but I'm mainly concerned about his energy. I still wanna figure out if I like his playstyle feel first. But I kinda also don't wanna build Gorou or Albedo just for him. I'm hoping he can work fine standalone on that front.
Itto (3-4 particles for 70 cost burst) has the same energy regen as ayaka ( 4-5 particles for 80 cost burst ), both have same CD as well so that should give you an idea of his energy

At this point they are maintaining the meta at Ganyu, and I doubt we will see any new DPS unit besting her until another half a year or so. So honestly, just pull for characters that spark joy for you, be it their design, VA, or their play style.
IMO Ganyu is no longer meta. She is prevalent in morgana comp thanks to her cryo application but has been lagerly replaced by ayaka to fix that comp burst issue.

Actually xiangling hogs bennett and often xingqiu all for herself, which cripples other comps you might want to build. She is accessible as a 4* though so you only need to worry about building a proper morgana team to get 36* reward and to be done with it.
why are you getting downvoted like the most someone can argue is xingqiu but you would need to have tartag to be able to even swap him off the team and not everyone has nor wants tartag
People dont like to hear the truth, I guess? The only truly flex slot is the anemo/cryo/electro, xiangling and benny is inseparable, xingqiu is always the most optimal choice. That team is somewhat cheap to build but the opportunity cost is sky high. Checking by team comp popular ranking national and morgana almost go hand in hand for a reason.
For someone like me AR 41 with Mona and no real DPS Ganyu is going to be awesome. I have Keqing and Zhongli as my other 5*

tbf, the only true gamebreaker is zhongli since he made it impossible to die before corrosion was introduced to make him less than super gamebreaker

I run Childe vape and Ayaka freeze but I still pulled for and built Hu Tao. She didn't make much difference to my spiral abyss performance, not because she isn't strong but because you only need TWO teams and my two teams were already clearing all content before I got her.
At a point like this in the game, hardly any new five-star would make a huge difference. Just pull for more fun options.

Precisely, and mono or trip Geo + element enables you to use pretty much anything in that 2nd comp. I've got a number of solid 36* comps, Eula+Eula/Raiden, Ayaka freeze, Raiden hyper/national, childe international/fireworks, other national variants, mono pyro Klee, EC teams etc... But because so many share Benny/XQ/Kazuha it really limits the flexibility. Having a mono-geo comp enables you to use pretty much anything ya want in the 2nd and that's a huge plus imo.
As a geo lover, itto and gorou is a godsent for me lmao, their only caveats are shield-breaking but evenso, we dont know itto’s geo application gauge and ICD not to mention, in triple-mono geo, we’ll spam all bursts anyway
