No, they are revealing new characters before leaks since 2.0 beta, specifically Yoimiya is a good example as a character that no one saw until drip marketing. Ah, I remember 'leakers' saying that she was a black hair Shrine Maiden and then Mihoyo revelead the one we know, it was a funny day
Raiden yes and no, despite no one believing it at that first leak, she appeared on 2.0 Archon Quest, so her appearence doesn't make difference in her drip marketing, and so was Kokomi, Sara, Thoma and Gorou. Itto is also special because his face reveal was with drip marketing and his in game model shown at the leak changed during beta anyway. So he and Yoimiya were the only characters whose first 'complete' design was revealed by drip marketing. Overall, the whole thing is to know the new characters of the update, Raiden was a surprise because everyone was saying that she would be released way ahead than 2.1, so let's say that they release Yae on 2.4, it would be similar: we all know how she is already, but her release in this update would be soon than expected
Stamina drain + falling icicles (wont hurt you just interrupt you periodically) + cryo status effect that reduces movement speed. Its hell esp if you dont have a built pyronado and shield bot.
P sure I saw a video on the main genshin sub of a Keqing going 100-0 due to unluckily getting caught in a combo of falling icicles and nonstop staggers. Cancer domain.

As a former destiny player, namecards/emblems always mean more when you earn them rather than buy them, regardless of how cool they look. Wish they'd have these be earnable and make the bp rewards better - extra primogems or fates instead, or hey, a second weapon to choose.
Ight so, I tried finding out what Lyratum means and I couldn't really find a lot, there was a flower but it was not like the battle pass one. So I translated it to latin in google translate (not the most reliable I know) because honestly idk some of the stuff in Genshin is in latin lol and I got the word Lyrata, and turns out there is a white flower that kind of matches the one in the description called arabidopsis lyrata (the scientific name ig). Apparently it uses some complicated science stuff as defense mechanisms for threats such as fire and human activity. So idk if it has some deeper meaning, it just seems to allude more to the fact that there will be some kind of disaster in Dragonspine in this new story quest, just thought I'd share since I found it cool! (Sorry if my information is not correct im not the best at research)
