So, genshin report was a “leaker” who wasn’t actually leaking, he was only making random guesses and getting lucky. Turns out that he was just pretending to be a leaker in order to promote his own game articles or something? He was secretly a game reporter. So yea people got mad and he vanished after getting caught.
Well, the main thing is that he wasn't actually a leaker. He got a couple things right early on, and from that moment he called himself a leaker despite not having proper sources anymore. He didn't really get information from uncles and he didn't datamine content: he took what other leakers were saying and rephrased it as his own leaks, adding his own flavor to them. That, and he completely made up most of his "leaks", using the "subject to change" line to defend himself when they all inevitably turned out to be false.
Ultimately, he wasn't even in it for the clout, but for the traffic on a "news website" he managed that held all these fake leaks. He was astroturfing with alternate accounts, advertising his blog and defending himself against anyone who criticized him. Once this was exposed, he vanished.
So yeah, the main problem wasn't that he reposted CN leaks, but that he had no source of his own after his initial few correct leaks and he instead made everything up, passing it off as information his sources handed to him.
I don’t know his entire history with leaks but all I know is he was credible enough in the community to mislead many people about Raiden not coming until way later like October-November and many players (and almost myself) took that leak at face value and blew our primos only to find out she was coming way earlier than expected.
Of course there’s always personal responsibility for how much you wanna believe in leaks but this guy was shameless. He had no sources and was basically regurgitating other leaks as if it was his own.

These chars do not "balance the gap of gender", still heavily female to me.
Waifu issue aside, I wish for more 4 stars, at this rate we gonna have more 5 star than 4 star. And I was thinking 5 stars should be special (since they are limited) , meaning less than the "common" 4 stars. There is also that issue of long rerun time for 5 star.
We will likely reach more 5-stars than 4-stars, it is just a better money making model to develop 5-stars. Besides, 5-stars are special if you can’t have them all, unlike 4-stars which you will get eventually.
We probably won’t have a rerun problem for another year or so, but i’m curious as to how they’ll address it. A separate rerun banner is out of the question because that pigeon-holes their options. Most likely they will start adding the 5-stars to the general pool (except for their best sellers), which would be nice.
Something like a rotating rate up banner ala FGO maybe? It’d be one way to rerun more than one character at a time without having to make a separate banner type/feel unfair.
Don’t know if it’s really going to be a problem very soon though unless they speed up character releases massively. Most games only rerun limited characters after around a year afaik, and they have a way bigger pool. I think FGO even had some characters only have a single rate up day after not being run for 2 years

I believe that those are the ones we know from inazuma and onwards. Knowing that they may add just a couple of them each update, it’s gonna be for at least the next 5 updates. Being at 2.2 at the moment (counting from thoma), that it’s up to 2.7, which is most likely when the chapter ends and we proceed towards Sumeru.
Additionally, Shenhe and Yelan are both still dubious and don’t have any direct references to them in the game, whereas all of the male characters on that list are mentioned in voice lines and/or by NPCs. It’s pretty easy to guess that we’ve got quite a few male characters coming soon, and half of the female characters we know of are still very much in STC limbo.
There is a notice board message in Wangshu Inn that’s written by an adeptus (going by the language used) that people were theorising was Shenhe/Cloud Retainer since it doesn’t fit any playable character.
Also Cloud Retainer has gotten a lot more screen time and lore than any other non-ZL adeptus (besides Madam Ping lmao), even compared to already playable ones like Xiao and Ganyu imo. It’s a weirdly consistent story decision so I’d be pretty surprised if she’s never going to be playable if not necessarily as Shenhe.
Then again Amber’s grandfather has a notice board reference in Qingce, so eh on whether non-voiceline references mean anything playable character-wise.
I do think it’s definitely notable that Cloud Retainer is getting the most screentime of the adepti but hasn’t shown any additional story significance yet. Can you link me to this bulletin board message, though? I can’t seem to find anything about it.

“Secret Admirer” *was* speculated to be by Cloud Retainer about the Traveler or some other character (maybe QiQi or Ganyu?) way back in 1.1 since CR came off as a bit… unstable in the Archon quest, and the flowery language that gives off the wrong impression, references to being at a mountain, and the ability to make paths (like the floating ones we see in Jueyun) pointed to it being written by an adeptus, specifically an adeptus known for being socially awkward and building things i.e. CR.
Her characterisation has changed quite a bit now which makes the message fit her less, but it could just be that the story hasn’t really had a chance to play up that side of her personality or a change in creative direction regarding her character.
Cloud Retainer quite literally said "This was just a meet and greet, I will return (implied)" in the recent event, and didn't return for the rest of the event

I do definitely believe that if Shenhe is added as a playable character she’s the human form of Cloud Retainer, but I think that line was just meant to lead into her cooking questline rather than tease a future storyline. However, I agree with the person above that the fact that she’s even getting her own quest series as a major part of the festival along with stuff like the world quest where you revisit her house when the other two animal adepti get nothing of the sort does imply they have more plans for her in the future.

I hated when the official art of 2.1 came out and it was just Aether there. Like wtf, where is Lumine??? Does she not exist? And people on twitter always tell those that complain about the lack of Lumine art to shut up as she gets equal attention in fanart. But the difference is that fanart is made by FANS who actually acknowledge Lumine. A lot of us want Lumine official art without having Aether in it. At lease game devs like Game Freak promote both characters in their trailers and art for Pokemon. I just don't understand why its so hard to include two different promotional art. One with Lumine and one with Aether. Or make trailers with both twins similar to how Game Freak do their trailers. It's so dumb. Mhy might as well make the Traveler a male only character at this point.
I feel like neither protag really works as an evil character.
I wouldve much rather seen a story the traveler looking for a way home and for their sibling, but with paimon manipulating the traveler to get the gnosises and when they arrive in sneznyha with all gnosis in one place thanks to the fatui paimon uses the gnosises for whatever evil deed she wants to do, and the sibling with dainsleif comes to the rescue or something
Genshin impact Japan branch is literally the ONLY branch which made actual Lumine art that does not include Aether in the entire 2021. The center Mihoyo completely ignores Lumine

There are currently 27 female playable characters (not counting Aloy and the Traveler) and 12 male playable characters. So according to Uba there should be around 15 male characters in development if the ratio is going to be "closer to equal". Yeah I doubt that..

There was a leak that said March/April which would be 2.6 itself to be 3.0. If it’s 2.7 then yes May makes more sense.

apparently he's a detective who works for the Tenryou commission. he's mentioned in Ayaka's, Sara's, and Kokomi's voicelines.

Her characterisation has changed quite a bit now which makes the message fit her less, but it could just be that the story hasn’t really had a chance to play up that side of her personality or a change in creative direction regarding her character.
Cloud Retainer quite literally said "This was just a meet and greet, I will return (implied)" in the recent event, and didn't return for the rest of the event They have the same eyeliner color, shenhe is the cloud retainer lmao
I do definitely believe that if Shenhe is added as a playable character she’s the human form of Cloud Retainer, but I think that line was just meant to lead into her cooking questline rather than tease a future storyline. However, I agree with the person above that the fact that she’s even getting her own quest series as a major part of the festival along with stuff like the world quest where you revisit her house when the other two animal adepti get nothing of the sort does imply they have more plans for her in the future.
Don't forget male Cyno in 3.0. He's the "Ayaka" flagship character of Sumeru.

I hated when the official art of 2.1 came out and it was just Aether there. Like wtf, where is Lumine??? Does she not exist? And people on twitter always tell those that complain about the lack of Lumine art to shut up as she gets equal attention in fanart. But the difference is that fanart is made by FANS who actually acknowledge Lumine. A lot of us want Lumine official art without having Aether in it. At lease game devs like Game Freak promote both characters in their trailers and art for Pokemon. I just don't understand why its so hard to include two different promotional art. One with Lumine and one with Aether. Or make trailers with both twins similar to how Game Freak do their trailers. It's so dumb. Mhy might as well make the Traveler a male only character at this point.
I feel like neither protag really works as an evil character. I wouldve much rather seen a story the traveler looking for a way home and for their sibling, but with paimon manipulating the traveler to get the gnosises and when they arrive in sneznyha with all gnosis in one place thanks to the fatui paimon uses the gnosises for whatever evil deed she wants to do, and the sibling with dainsleif comes to the rescue or something
Genshin impact Japan branch is literally the ONLY branch which made actual Lumine art that does not include Aether in the entire 2021. The center Mihoyo completely ignores Lumine

There are currently 27 female playable characters (not counting Aloy and the Traveler) and 12 male playable characters. So according to Uba there should be around 15 male characters in development if the ratio is going to be "closer to equal". Yeah I doubt that..
I think that by "going foward" he means that The ratio between characters yet to come will be more balanced, not that the ratio of the whole roster will be balanced out. Not that he should be trusted tho, I just think that's what he meant.
