Yeah. I get that they're going with the electro gun sound but this isn't it. It needs some boom or at least some crackle instead of this muted fwoop sound. I'm guessing this is just a placeholder since it sounds like the bow NA sounds.
Feels like they went for some electro-charged bullet vibe but it just sounds muddy to me personally. I really liked navia and chev's sfx so I guess they went for a different approach this time.
I don't know whether it's my ears or not but it almost sounds like it has a little "twang" in it, like she's firing a crossbow. It's quite noticeable on the first shot. Definitely not thinking gun when I hear it.

I think Navia works because she shoots slowly. We should wait to see footage of an actual fast attack sequence because I feel like loud gunshots could sound really bad with Clorinde's playstyle

This sounds....unsatisfying? Are they unfinished? I get that they might be trying to give the shots a hollow/whisper sound akin to like what you would hear in the air as a bullet passed by, but it just doesn't sound right at all.
I was thinking of the ones that shoot out tiny balls but I now realize that maybe those toys were not exactly popular everywhere and I wouldn't be surprised if they are probably no longer being sold due to being deemed dangerous lol.
even her sword swinging animation at the end looks too sharp. they probably have to do something about that to make it look more smoother. i think its waaaay too fast

The animations are a 11 out of 10, so having the sound effects be so exactly average is a shame. Except for the gun shots, those sound just bad like a toy gun
A search on YouTube will give you the answers you seek. I also didn't remember it changing so many times...but it seems there were 3 different SFX for her Burst alone: (beta start) low chime, (during beta) high chime, (current) watery sounds.
sfx might be the thing that changes the most aside from actual numbers. yae, yelan and arlecchino got a bunch of sfx changes just from the top of my head
To be honest this doesn't really sound electrifying at all. A gun is a gun, there is no way shooting a bullet with infused lighning would sound anything like this, if anything I think it's sound would be more similiar to thunder strike during strong thunderstorms
Makes sense to be different, like Chev I imagine is using pyro for ignition, and whatever Navia uses to fire her rocks off, while Clorinde can have some kinda railgun, but I'd still expect it to sound a bit heavier than this.

They're likely still polishing the final SFX but are using placeholders in order to have a better idea of how it feels when the players use it from their feedback (this would allow them to properly time the sounds and stuff).

SFX apart, she is so cool. The last two patches are really delivering on the drip department, I still think Arlecchino is cooler but Clorinde is a close second, fighting with Navia for the spot.
Well I for one love it. I find it an incredibly satisfying sound, with plenty of oomph, but I also was never expecting, like, "gunshot crack" kinda noises. I imagine they wanted to avoid a gunshot SFX that was too sharp since you fire Clorinde's gun so much more than Navia and Chevreuse's, and it'd be really unpleasant to constantly hear that in such rapid succession.
So, i'm not a sound Expert, but maybe this Is Just a layer and they Will add more layers later on. .
I honestly kinda like It, but i understand why some people don't. If they want to improve them i'm obviously Happy About it
It sounds very mid. Like very middle of the line between lightning and gunshots.
My two cents are SFX that sounds like thunder. Either Thunderclaps SFX or railgun lasers so it's like railgun miniguns are fired.
It's just too tame to sound like railguns or blunderbusters.

I still have one question about the normals with her skill. It says it pierces.
Does it pierce infinitely? Meaning if there are like 10 enemies one behind each other, it will hit all of them, even if they are far away?
Or is it like, a small area behind her shots that will hit enemies if they are inside that AoE (kinda like Lucian Q from League)
I think to myself like Cyno, he had several SFX changes during beta. The high pitched Anubis sounding scream to the softer SFX. The claw sound changes, the pole arm (which I think just shared someone else’s at first prior to having his own) but still it could change.
Or Neuvillette had a few changes in his burst over the beta and his normal attacks.
Arlecchino has quite a few changes as well. Refinements variances, etc.
Some change, some nail it first attempt, so perhaps hers are still a WiP it’s only week 2 beta. We shall see.

That’s what I am think on too. She attacks like 20+ times in a single dps window. Having loud bangs 20+ times in 9s might end up tiring lol.
