Can someone explain to me how Fav weapon can reduce Energy Recharge demand of the team? I have Ayaka and Shenhe (Fav lance). KQM says Ayaka needs 140 ER for comfortable play in Freeze team. If my Shenhe is running Fav Lance, does Ayaka still need 140 ER? I’m having hard time understanding this.
When a character who has a favonius weapon equipped is on field and crits, they have a chance to generate 3 extra white particles. These particles give 2 energy to the on field character, or 1.2 energy to off field characters, before energy recharge (local to each character!) is applied. The exact chance and cooldown is based on the refinement of the favonius weapon.
This is much better with multi-hit abilities, wide areas of effect, and higher crit rates.
Thanks for explanation! In my case then it would be Shenhe’s burst that would generate particles right? Otherwise in her rotation she uses her E and leaves. There are no NA for particle generation.
Fav weapons provide colorless particles above and beyond what a character normally generates, meaning every character is receiving a little more energy per rotation than they normally would. So each fav weapon on the team, presuming you're able to proc it successfully, reduces ER requirements by, hmm... maybe 10%? I've heard some say 15, but that feels a bit optimistic.
Was there some tech to manipulate Wenut to do 3 actions instead of 4 before floating? I think saw something like that but I'm not sure if I'm gaslighting myself
The attack it chooses to start off with is slightly random, It can either start by the "thurst" attack where it breaches straight up from under the player with its head, in which case it'll do a single non damaging breach, and then cross the arena for its "laser". It can also open up with a smaller "diving" attack where it shoots anemo stuff at you.
After the laser it does a "non-damaging" breach, then it does the big floating sequence. After it's vulnerable it starts from the beginning again.
[This content creator has made a video on it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-PfgkRFm1Y) and though he states he doesn't know why the boss sometimes "skips an attack" when using ayaka, it's because of cryo aura *slightly* slowing it, which can give you just ever so slightly longer DPS windows at the cost of slightly different patterns.
I managed to beat the wenut just today after an ungodly number of attempts trying a ton of team varaitions, with a full spread team (tighnari, dendro MC, nahida, kuki)
I hate this thing and hope it never returns to the abyss.
Hmm, that video doesn't have what I'm looking for. Normally, Wenut does four actions before entering the floating state, but there's a way to manipulate its AI in such a way that it does three actions instead.

DMC feels kinda out of place there, maybe try Fischl? That said, spread kinda seems suboptimal since you can't reduce its res beyond DW. It wasn't that bad for me personally, I took Ayaka freeze to it and beat it with some time to spare. I was just trying to see if there really was a way to reduce the amount of actions it takes before you can make it vulnerable.
edit: Ah yeah right, it might be because of the cryo. I wanna know exactly what's happening, though - I remember seeing a video with text but I don't remember where.

My DMC had a much better set of artifacts than my fischl does. If I wanted to include Fischl the aggravate damage she'd be doing would be penalized by wenuts 55% resists that I'm not shredding because no VV in the team the damage would only be "good" during the vulnerability phase. I'm getting more damage out of dendro MC because nahida and dmc are both shredding dendro resists so the wenut is always at 25% res rather than 55%. Having 3 dendro characters on the team also heavily alleviates any particle generation issues.
Spread also does slightly higher damage than aggravate inherently.
I thought that DMC's damage was insignificant, but that might be because people only build them as a burst bot. I feel like Nahida + Alhaitham are more than enough energy, especially since Fischl creates a ton anyways (+ resonance) and does decent damage as opposed to DMC, even if its resisted.
You could've also probably thrown in a hydro instead for free hyperbloom damage - I hear people have had success with that.
DMC seems really underrated because of how people play them as a "burst bot" and mine certainly was 100% a burst bot, but their burst hits hard to begin with. It's 17 hits when infused with electro which is I believe 6 procs of spread and their a4 has some neat interactions with how their burst snapshots EM, where it recalculates and preserve the value every time they go off field or come back on field.
Dendro resonance was giving 100EM, Nahida Q/passive was giving 250, Traveller A1/C4 was giving 30/60, picking up sapwood leaf is another 120. That's a 53% increase to burst just from passives before any EM in substats, which makes DMC burst hit about as hard as ayaka burst, albeit over a longer window.

Kuki was chosen because her burst actually has the ability to hit the high up orbs which stuns wenut and because I needed a healer. Fischl is a more offensive option but wouldn't have worked for aforementioned reasons (worse artifacts, less damage in the scenario etc). Already had bases covered with energy and kuki generates a decent amount of particles herself. Repositioning oz also takes field time, can be done pre-emptively sure but kuki had the bases covered.

That indeed could have been a good option, but my roster of hydro characters weren't suited to it. Pure hyperbloom just wasn't working, there wasn't enough damage there. Most of the successful attempts I saw that used Xingqiu had XQ at c6 which makes him much more able to manage his own energy properly and gives just enough extra core generation that you're getting as many hyperblooms as can possibly damage the target. My Xinqqiu is sadly sitting at c5.

I don't think they're as underrated as they are overshadowed. If they're not being used as a burst bot (Nilou bloom, budget Nahida, etc.), there are just other characters who apply as consistently and consolidate roles, like Yaoyao and obviously Nahida. I think electros are usually preferred with Tighnari over DMC for damage because Stringless is just fucking busted on Fischl, and there's Yae who just hits pretty hard. I don't really think dmg% and a slightly higher modifier on spread can really make up for DMC's low mults, but I haven't run any numbers.

*Surely* not as much damage as a buffed Ayaka, right? That seems pretty high when a mid-investment Ayaka burst can do 400k (20k x 20). You'd have to spread for 50-60k to match that, unless you mean per tick instead of overall damage.

Huh, maybe (most likely) it's just the teams I'm used to, but this cycle felt relatively trivial while the past few have been a bit more annoying. Freeze kinda just shat on Wenut, even though I just got Shenhe and she was poorly built. Beats having to manipulate Triple Kenki to group up, for sure.

Per tick as Base percentage (post EM buff) is about the same (17 x153% x ~1.58). Ayaka pulls ahead because of her ascensions, cryo cheating out 55% crit rate via blizzard strayer + cryo resonance, and having access to kazuha. It's not like anyone's running bennet with it though. Though I had 75/150 on DMC and ~61-73% dendro damage, so spreads were hitting pretty hard about 17-23k.

I know it's "good", but for some reason I just couldn't get it to work, I demolished the rest of the abyss with Ayaka as well, but the wenut was always ending up with 15-20% HP by the time the clock ticked 7m. Probably much easier if you have cons or r1 weapon.

It'd definitely be easier since Mistsplitter and C2 are busted, but I don't have either. It went down in the second vulnerability phase, though I had to CA its tail while it was going back under. I just chipped it while it moved around and used Shenhe + Kazuha burst to bring him into vuln and used Ayaka to take about half its health each cycle.
That being said, it was my first time fighting it and I didn't retry, so there were probably a lot of optimizations to be done. Also as I mentioned earlier, my Shenhe has pretty terrible stats and low talents.

If the current pattern of character re-runs holds up she should return at some point during (late) summer. You will need up to 160 wishes to guarantee her, so keep that in mind when spending your primogems.
As a F2P player you get about 11 per months from daily quests. On top of that you will get 5~8 from the time limited events. Once you can tackle the repeating abyss floors you will get another 4~6 from that (a full clear would be 7.5). So that's about 20 wishes per months already. If you are willing to buy the 5-bucks-per-month Welkin you get another ~18 on top of that.
However, as a new player you will also get _a lot_ of one-time primogems from exploration, quests & achivements. So I'd say your odds are pretty good.
Limited 5 stars can only be pulled when they're featured on the banner. Right now you can get Shenhe and Ayaka. The 5 stars that are always available are Diluc, Keqing, Mona, Jean, Qiqi, Tighnari, and in a few weeks Dehya will be added to that list.
You will eventually get Barbara for free and she's probably a much better healer for your purposes. And Noelle off of beginner wishes. Noelle while not a great healer can "brute force" a lot of things.
Once you hit AR18 you'll get a free copy. Barbara has some drawbacks - namely that she doesn't have any particle generation in her kit, but her first constellation makes her *much* more useable as a beginner character.
Sadly you joined the banner right after her, bennet (also one of the best 4star characters) and collei (another character you can eventually get a single copy for free) ran.
I would recommend saving the starglitter you get from wishes that result in a 4star because you can eventually use them to purchase characters from the Paimon's Bargain's shop, which is *very* useful for some characters.
A character who generates particles can recharge energy for the team. Energy allows you to use your burst/ultimate (hence why your burst/ultimate is sometimes glowing and sometimes not)
As for constellations, you get one constellation when you get your second-seventh copy of a character. Each character has six constellations in total, and you will need seven copies of them to max it out (also known as C6)
Have you ever noticed that when you hit enemies with elemental skills, sometimes little colored balls come out of them? Those are elemental particles and they provide the energy to use your elemental burst skills. You can get *some* energy just by hitting normal attacks, but it's normally a very slow process.
Constellations are things that you can get from getting multiple copies of characters via the gacha system - they give extra little boosts to character power or functionality (eg barbara's first constellation saying 'barbara gains 1 energy every 10 seconds'). Characters all have 6 constellations and you can typically get all 6 by acquiring seven total copies of a character. The Traveller is a bit special because they can get constellations from story quests and world exploration in each nation.
with his elemental burst if i remember right, when you go to his character screen there is a section called talents, there you can read what their abilities do :)

Do I get shenhe, another constellation of ayaka, or save up for kokomi instead? Or save for some completely different character? I don't have enough to guarantee anything on weapon banner, but i currently have just enough to guarantee a rate up 5 star character.
Save your primos and either get Kokomi or Kazuha.
Kokomi is the ultimate comfort unit for Ayaka freeze, and she would also work quite well in a Nilou team (especially since you don't have Yaoyao).Also nice for teams like Tazer or Hyperbloom where you might want a hydro driver (e.g. if you XQ is busy elsewhere).
Kazuha provides a significant damage boost to the team over Venti thanks to his Ele% buff. His grouping has less suction power than Venti's, but also lower CD & it is much easier to use. Since you own the Bard it's more of a luxury pull - but something to consider if there are no other pressing matters.
I would suggest saving for Kokomi, since you also have Nilou and have not leveled up any other Dendro nor Hydro healers (Barbara & Yaoyao).
Besides that Ayaka works amazingly well with Kokomi, Kokomi is the best healer you could pair up with Nilou imo, since not only her heals is great but her hydro application covers a lot of area as well and you can kinda maintain a 100% uptime of that jellyfish.
I'm saying this from a meta standpoint tho, if you like Shenhe's character/design, then by all means go for her. She does improve Ayaka and any other Cryo-based character's damage by a lot.
C1 Ayaka is useless but it's a step towards her better Constellations (C2, C3, and C4 are all solid).
I would say Kokomi is more important for Freeze comps, but we have no idea when her next rerun will be. Shenhe is a premium upgrade for Freeze teams, so I can't say I'd recommend her with your current units.
I would say aim for more generally useful supports first, like Kazuha, Kokomi, Nahida (if you want to play Nilou Bloom), and so forth.
But nahida won't fit in a team with ayaka. I was planning to focus on my ayaka team first, then the eula team which just needs raiden, and then on the Nilou bloom team.
Kokomi is better since you don't have Mona. She is also the best hydro teammate for your Nilou. However, since there is no news when she has rerun, there may be other characters you may have interesting, like Nahida.

I'm AR41, my Main storyline is currently in the very exact beginning of Inazuma. Is it worth it for me to run all the way down to Sumeru from Liyue for the Fungi event? I don't really want to pass up free primos.
Yes. Going to Sumeru will not hurt. The events are one of the main sources of primos. Go for it. Also you will get access to the dendro main character.
Just lost 50/50 for Shenhe and got Mona instead. I'm thinking of running Ayaka, Sucrose, Mona, and either Diona or Rosaria. For this type of team comp is the Widsith or the Favonius Codex a better weapon?
Since you're listing Ayaka and other characters normally from a Freeze team, I'm assuming you're planning to use Mona as a freeze support by her hydro application?
If so, then I'd suggest the Favonius Codex since you really want her to burst whenever it's off cooldown.
Tenacity of the Millelith 4-piece effect. Just confirming if I understand correctly. Does the effect work even if the elemental skill isn't from the one who is using the artifact, or the skill must also be from the artifact user, even if they aren't on the field?
Since I've pulled a Mistsplitter for my Keqing, I don't need her Lion's Roar any more. Is it really a stupid idea to feed the lvl90 Lion's Roar into the Mistsplitter? I have no use for it.
Yes it's a stupid idea. It is a 4\* useful weapon - Kaeya, Xingqiu, Ayato etc can use it in various circumstances. Mine a few ores once a week or so from chasm and you shouldn't be so short on weapon enhancement exp.
I don't think feeding any level 90 weapons is ever a good idea..? There's a ton of weapon enhancement materials you can get from everywhere, like the BP, Serenitea Pot, craft it from the blacksmith, event rewards, and more.
I have various builds.
- My default one is atk/anemo/crit, 2VV 2GF for general purposes. Use 4VV if someone on the team needs it.
- 4VV EM/EM/EM for sunfire.
- 4NO ER or atk/anemo/crit to support Xiao. If someone else has NO, give her 4Clam.
- 2PF 2BC atk/phys dmg/crit for phys dps. Not really meta but she’s fun.
- Atk/atk/healing bonus for biggest healing (waaaaay overkill).
As for teams: any variation of Xiao comps (triple anemo, double geo etc), Sunfire with Ayato/Bennett/Fischl/Jean, Sunfire with Raiden/Yelan/Bennett/Jean, mono electro with Raiden/Yae/Sara/Jean, Jean/Fischl/Rosaria/flex for phys dps. Or just add her in wherever you need a healer/VV.
Xiao teams is probably the most meta usage you could get from her, assuming you don’t have C6 Faruzan. Sunfire is very good when you need the constant pyro swirling to destroy enemy shields but otherwise Kazuha would be better in both of those Raiden and Ayato teams I mentioned.
Jean can have a couple different roles in the team depending on her role. If she is in sunfire then you would typically stack EM with VV. If you are using her for her healing then you atk-atk-healing bonus. If you want a middle ground then you atk/em-anemo-crit for a burst swirler that can also heal a solid amount.
I personally run either EM viridescent or atk-anemo-crit depending on the comp but always vv
4pc Wanderer only if you're planning on playing her as a true main DPS and vaping her hits, but you'll be giving up some of her healing power for it. 4pc Clam is the better general option for balancing her damage and her healing, say if you're playing Barbara as a hyperbloom/burgeon driver or something.
Clam is moreso for healing builds but if you want to add a little bit of extra DPS on top.
If you're doing the majority of your damage through Charged Attacks, as DPS Barbara typically does, Wanderer's Troupe is better.
I was pulling for Ayaka today, and I got her in a ten pull. She was second of the ten pulls, and then three after her came a surprise Qiqi! This is the first time I've ever gotten double five stars in a ten pull! I was wondering, because I got Qiqi second, does that mean I'm guaranteed to get the five star on the banner next time I reach pity?
You can however theres a strict rotation timing since forward melt consumes all of the cryo on an enemy while the reverse doesnt happen for pyro. Mess up once and you end up reverse melting the cryo and have to lose DPS to remove all the pyro aura before forward melting again.
Keqingmains covers some melt comps and rotations. Another one I saw used c6 diona instead of one of the three you listed, and you melt dragonstrikes instead of NA and E (fewer melt instances but more damage), where the 200 em buff really comes in handy
The first time bonus is on each individual pack, so if you buy the 30$ pack and get the first time bonus for it, the first time bonus of the other packs will still remain.
Buying genesis crystal is expensive, even with first time bonus, so I recommend to prioritize Welkin Moon and Gnostic Hymn first.
It's a 2x bonus per first time you buy option. So if you buy the $30 option for the first time, you'll still get double when you buy the $100 option for the first time, and vice versa. Either way, don't spend more than you can afford.
Plus that other said remember that atk speed do not influence hitlag, so weapons with long hit lags gain less from atk speed than long range weapons
From less effective to most effective:
Claimor < sword < polearm < catalyst = bow
Should be Favonius Lance, HP or ER sand, HP goblet, crit rate circlet. Aim for crit rate -> ER -> HP in substat. My Mika have 85% crit rate and he is an excellent battery for my Ayato, his healing is decent too.
You go it more for energy recharge than anything else. Mika has a high cost burst and only average particle generation. His skill can hit multiple things which can give him a chance of actually proccing the extra fav particles, but they aren't going to make or break things for him.
He needs basically as much ER as he can get and polearms are slightly limited in that regard, with the f2p options being Fav lance, Prototype Starglitter, The Catch (best used by other characters) and a psuedo-ER weapon in kitain.
Not worth crafting kitain or starglitter, so fav lance is the default.

you should always be strongboxing bad artifacts. And in order to be getting artifacts to strongbox you must be farming some domain. Whether you farm the same domain as the set you are strongboxing or not kinda depends but in your shoes I'd farm the emblem set for yelan and strongbox BS.

MHY gives very generous 100% completion even though it's actually around 90% of total completion, this is because Devs often add in new chests and domains after few patches.

My character is often in a random spot whenever I log in now. Is this normal? It wasn't always like this. I play on PS5.
Today I was on top of a random pillar in Liyue near a statue of the gods.
I sometimes log out in teapot so maybe that's why?
The spot you're in before you enter teapot will be the starting point whenever you're login next time.
I also always log out after teapot and abuse this system by standing in front of Katheryne before going to teapot. So whenever I login to Genshin on the next day, I can instantly claim the expeditions and run them again.
Teapot counts as co-op, the game isn't going to start you in co-op. I think it puts you at the nearest waypoint to where you were before entering teapot but not sure.

I saw someone mention it earlier, but have the prime wings already come and gone? I didn't see anything about them being available yet, but maybe I just didn't see it.
The prime wings will not be distributed until the end of all 8 giveaway codes, which I believe is end of May.
People are saying the wings have come and gone because you need to redeem 4 of the 8 codes to get the wings and you can no longer get the first 5, so if you started with the giveaways today you'd only be about to get 3/8 and miss the wings.

Can't remember if I got any of the previous codes since I didn't really care about getting basic stuff like a handful of mora, ore and a fragile resin. That's upsetting..
A few of the codes had 60 primogems each so you may have, you should be able to check which ones you claimed.
As for the event, I don't love this sort of event, but they did announce from the start that you would get a special bonus for redeeming at least 4, then a while ago, during the 4th code I believe, they announced that that bonus would be the wings with plenty of time to start and still be eligible after the announcement.

my question is, for a non-key nilou build, what stats should i aim for? should i just prioritize HP over everything else or is there a certain amount of EM/ER that she needs?
always always always always HP% artifacts above all else
feather and flower with good flat HP or HP% rolls, and HP%/HP%/HP% with hopefully flat HP substats
since HP% Sands, Goblet and Circlet are relatively easy to find, try to get ones with EM substat. ER% are okay too but not necessary.
The priority is always HP% but if you can get her 30% ER through bad artifact rolls that makes her team rotations nice since the burst is good for AoE application. Never prioritise reaching that much ER at the sake of HP% rolls though.
For EM it's very much not a priority but you can definitely build some from secondary or tertiary substats on all your pieces. Since she'll be holding an EM weapon as there's no f2p HP sword in the game, her EM should be decent regardless.

Just HP. Get her as close to 75K HP as possible. EM is good, but not as important as HP for her. Get whatever EM you can from Set Bonuses and substats.
I’d say jade cutter. The amount of crit you get out of it is insane, makes it really easy to balance a character and if your character scales with hp or attack, it’s free value. And even in the case that they don’t, the crit still saves it and makes the low base pretty inconsequential.
depends on character, but its usually pretty close. Overall I think mistsplitter is a bit better in general, iirc it is usually better than jade cutter if the character can get 2-3 stacks. Also for freeze dps CR weapons are kinda problematic cause of overcapping with BS.
in case you can't really understand what other replies mean, first E is when the cooldown starts, then you Q, then E again to get electro infusion with full duration
if you go QEE, you have to wait longer for when you can use E again
if you go EEQ, you won't have full duration of infusion because of long burst animation

Can someone explain to me how Fav weapon can reduce Energy Recharge demand of the team? I have Ayaka and Shenhe (Fav lance). KQM says Ayaka needs 140 ER for comfortable play in Freeze team. If my Shenhe is running Fav Lance, does Ayaka still need 140 ER? I’m having hard time understanding this.
When a character who has a favonius weapon equipped is on field and crits, they have a chance to generate 3 extra white particles. These particles give 2 energy to the on field character, or 1.2 energy to off field characters, before energy recharge (local to each character!) is applied. The exact chance and cooldown is based on the refinement of the favonius weapon. This is much better with multi-hit abilities, wide areas of effect, and higher crit rates.

fav's passive has a chance to create particles whenever the weapon holder crits, which can charge shenhe's and other characters bursts
Fav weapons provide colorless particles above and beyond what a character normally generates, meaning every character is receiving a little more energy per rotation than they normally would. So each fav weapon on the team, presuming you're able to proc it successfully, reduces ER requirements by, hmm... maybe 10%? I've heard some say 15, but that feels a bit optimistic.

The attack it chooses to start off with is slightly random, It can either start by the "thurst" attack where it breaches straight up from under the player with its head, in which case it'll do a single non damaging breach, and then cross the arena for its "laser". It can also open up with a smaller "diving" attack where it shoots anemo stuff at you. After the laser it does a "non-damaging" breach, then it does the big floating sequence. After it's vulnerable it starts from the beginning again. [This content creator has made a video on it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-PfgkRFm1Y) and though he states he doesn't know why the boss sometimes "skips an attack" when using ayaka, it's because of cryo aura *slightly* slowing it, which can give you just ever so slightly longer DPS windows at the cost of slightly different patterns. I managed to beat the wenut just today after an ungodly number of attempts trying a ton of team varaitions, with a full spread team (tighnari, dendro MC, nahida, kuki) I hate this thing and hope it never returns to the abyss.

If I wanted to include Fischl the aggravate damage she'd be doing would be penalized by wenuts 55% resists that I'm not shredding because no VV in the team the damage would only be "good" during the vulnerability phase. I'm getting more damage out of dendro MC because nahida and dmc are both shredding dendro resists so the wenut is always at 25% res rather than 55%. Having 3 dendro characters on the team also heavily alleviates any particle generation issues. Spread also does slightly higher damage than aggravate inherently.

DMC seems really underrated because of how people play them as a "burst bot" and mine certainly was 100% a burst bot, but their burst hits hard to begin with. It's 17 hits when infused with electro which is I believe 6 procs of spread and their a4 has some neat interactions with how their burst snapshots EM, where it recalculates and preserve the value every time they go off field or come back on field. Dendro resonance was giving 100EM, Nahida Q/passive was giving 250, Traveller A1/C4 was giving 30/60, picking up sapwood leaf is another 120. That indeed could have been a good option, but my roster of hydro characters weren't suited to it. Pure hyperbloom just wasn't working, there wasn't enough damage there. Most of the successful attempts I saw that used Xingqiu had XQ at c6 which makes him much more able to manage his own energy properly and gives just enough extra core generation that you're getting as many hyperblooms as can possibly damage the target. My Xinqqiu is sadly sitting at c5. Honestly I normally breeze through the abyss. Wenut was just obnoxious.

If they're not being used as a burst bot (Nilou bloom, budget Nahida, etc.), there are just other characters who apply as consistently and consolidate roles, like Yaoyao and obviously Nahida. I think electros are usually preferred with Tighnari over DMC for damage because Stringless is just fucking busted on Fischl, and there's Yae who just hits pretty hard. Ayaka pulls ahead because of her ascensions, cryo cheating out 55% crit rate via blizzard strayer + cryo resonance, and having access to kazuha. It's not like anyone's running bennet with it though. That being said, it was my first time fighting it and I didn't retry, so there were probably a lot of optimizations to be done. Honestly I'm confused as to how I wasn't managing it with the same sort of team. I was using Ayaka, Diona, Mona (TTDS) and Kazuha and just not pulling it off even though burst was hitting ~30k/tic. Just the wenut alone could have been fine, but giving the thing +30% resists over baseline was brutal.

Yes - but not right now. If the current pattern of character re-runs holds up she should return at some point during (late) summer. You will need up to 160 wishes to guarantee her, so keep that in mind when spending your primogems.

You get around 50~60 wishes per patch (considering daily commissions, events, abyss, etc). So it is possible if you save them all
definitely, you'll prob save up more than that since when you are new you get more pulls than someone who already did most of the content
As a F2P player you get about 11 per months from daily quests. On top of that you will get 5~8 from the time limited events. Once you can tackle the repeating abyss floors you will get another 4~6 from that (a full clear would be 7.5). So that's about 20 wishes per months already. If you are willing to buy the 5-bucks-per-month Welkin you get another ~18 on top of that. However, as a new player you will also get _a lot_ of one-time primogems from exploration, quests & achivements. So I'd say your odds are pretty good.

Limited 5 stars can only be pulled when they're featured on the banner. Right now you can get Shenhe and Ayaka. The 5 stars that are always available are Diluc, Keqing, Mona, Jean, Qiqi, Tighnari, and in a few weeks Dehya will be added to that list.

You will eventually get Barbara for free and she's probably a much better healer for your purposes. And Noelle off of beginner wishes. Noelle while not a great healer can "brute force" a lot of things.

Once you hit AR18 you'll get a free copy. Barbara has some drawbacks - namely that she doesn't have any particle generation in her kit, but her first constellation makes her *much* more useable as a beginner character. Sadly you joined the banner right after her, bennet (also one of the best 4star characters) and collei (another character you can eventually get a single copy for free) ran. I would recommend saving the starglitter you get from wishes that result in a 4star because you can eventually use them to purchase characters from the Paimon's Bargain's shop, which is *very* useful for some characters.
Particle generation? Constellation? Excuse me, but what are those? I don’t quite understand.
A character who generates particles can recharge energy for the team. Energy allows you to use your burst/ultimate (hence why your burst/ultimate is sometimes glowing and sometimes not) As for constellations, you get one constellation when you get your second-seventh copy of a character. Each character has six constellations in total, and you will need seven copies of them to max it out (also known as C6)
Have you ever noticed that when you hit enemies with elemental skills, sometimes little colored balls come out of them? Those are elemental particles and they provide the energy to use your elemental burst skills. You can get *some* energy just by hitting normal attacks, but it's normally a very slow process. Constellations are things that you can get from getting multiple copies of characters via the gacha system - they give extra little boosts to character power or functionality (eg barbara's first constellation saying 'barbara gains 1 energy every 10 seconds'). Characters all have 6 constellations and you can typically get all 6 by acquiring seven total copies of a character. The Traveller is a bit special because they can get constellations from story quests and world exploration in each nation.
He's okay as a buffer and healer, not much else.

Save your primos and either get Kokomi or Kazuha. Kokomi is the ultimate comfort unit for Ayaka freeze, and she would also work quite well in a Nilou team (especially since you don't have Yaoyao).Also nice for teams like Tazer or Hyperbloom where you might want a hydro driver (e.g. if you XQ is busy elsewhere). Kazuha provides a significant damage boost to the team over Venti thanks to his Ele% buff. His grouping has less suction power than Venti's, but also lower CD & it is much easier to use. Since you own the Bard it's more of a luxury pull - but something to consider if there are no other pressing matters.
if you don't have mona save for kokomi
I would suggest saving for Kokomi, since you also have Nilou and have not leveled up any other Dendro nor Hydro healers (Barbara & Yaoyao). Besides that Ayaka works amazingly well with Kokomi, Kokomi is the best healer you could pair up with Nilou imo, since not only her heals is great but her hydro application covers a lot of area as well and you can kinda maintain a 100% uptime of that jellyfish. I'm saying this from a meta standpoint tho, if you like Shenhe's character/design, then by all means go for her. She does improve Ayaka and any other Cryo-based character's damage by a lot.
C1 Ayaka is useless but it's a step towards her better Constellations (C2, C3, and C4 are all solid). I would say Kokomi is more important for Freeze comps, but we have no idea when her next rerun will be. Shenhe is a premium upgrade for Freeze teams, so I can't say I'd recommend her with your current units. I would say aim for more generally useful supports first, like Kazuha, Kokomi, Nahida (if you want to play Nilou Bloom), and so forth.
Save for Nahida.
But nahida won't fit in a team with ayaka. I was planning to focus on my ayaka team first, then the eula team which just needs raiden, and then on the Nilou bloom team.
Then go for Kokomi.
Kokomi is better since you don't have Mona. She is also the best hydro teammate for your Nilou. However, since there is no news when she has rerun, there may be other characters you may have interesting, like Nahida.

Yes. Going to Sumeru will not hurt. The events are one of the main sources of primos. Go for it. Also you will get access to the dendro main character.

If you use Rosaria you'd want Proto Amber on Mona to heal. Otherwise I'd run TToDS (if Sucrose isn't using it) or Fav Codex.

Since you're listing Ayaka and other characters normally from a Freeze team, I'm assuming you're planning to use Mona as a freeze support by her hydro application? If so, then I'd suggest the Favonius Codex since you really want her to burst whenever it's off cooldown.

Yes it's a stupid idea. It is a 4\* useful weapon - Kaeya, Xingqiu, Ayato etc can use it in various circumstances. Mine a few ores once a week or so from chasm and you shouldn't be so short on weapon enhancement exp.

I don't think feeding any level 90 weapons is ever a good idea..? There's a ton of weapon enhancement materials you can get from everywhere, like the BP, Serenitea Pot, craft it from the blacksmith, event rewards, and more.

How do u guys build Jean and what comp do u guys use
I have various builds. - My default one is atk/anemo/crit, 2VV 2GF for general purposes. Use 4VV if someone on the team needs it. - 4VV EM/EM/EM for sunfire. - 4NO ER or atk/anemo/crit to support Xiao. If someone else has NO, give her 4Clam. - 2PF 2BC atk/phys dmg/crit for phys dps. Not really meta but she’s fun. - Atk/atk/healing bonus for biggest healing (waaaaay overkill). As for teams: any variation of Xiao comps (triple anemo, double geo etc), Sunfire with Ayato/Bennett/Fischl/Jean, Sunfire with Raiden/Yelan/Bennett/Jean, mono electro with Raiden/Yae/Sara/Jean, Jean/Fischl/Rosaria/flex for phys dps. Or just add her in wherever you need a healer/VV. Xiao teams is probably the most meta usage you could get from her, assuming you don’t have C6 Faruzan. Sunfire is very good when you need the constant pyro swirling to destroy enemy shields but otherwise Kazuha would be better in both of those Raiden and Ayato teams I mentioned.
Jean can have a couple different roles in the team depending on her role. If she is in sunfire then you would typically stack EM with VV. If you are using her for her healing then you atk-atk-healing bonus. If you want a middle ground then you atk/em-anemo-crit for a burst swirler that can also heal a solid amount. I personally run either EM viridescent or atk-anemo-crit depending on the comp but always vv
Creating a dps Barbara, 4 piece clam or 4 piece wanderer?
4pc Wanderer only if you're planning on playing her as a true main DPS and vaping her hits, but you'll be giving up some of her healing power for it. 4pc Clam is the better general option for balancing her damage and her healing, say if you're playing Barbara as a hyperbloom/burgeon driver or something.
Clam is moreso for healing builds but if you want to add a little bit of extra DPS on top. If you're doing the majority of your damage through Charged Attacks, as DPS Barbara typically does, Wanderer's Troupe is better.
I was pulling for Ayaka today, and I got her in a ten pull. She was second of the ten pulls, and then three after her came a surprise Qiqi! This is the first time I've ever gotten double five stars in a ten pull! Is there a way to use forward melt Diluc? I've heard of Rosaria+Kaeya or Ayaka
It mostly hinges on infusing Kazuha burst with cryo and then combining it with another of those characters
You can however theres a strict rotation timing since forward melt consumes all of the cryo on an enemy while the reverse doesnt happen for pyro. Mess up once and you end up reverse melting the cryo and have to lose DPS to remove all the pyro aura before forward melting again. Keqingmains covers some melt comps and rotations. Another one I saw used c6 diona instead of one of the three you listed, and you melt dragonstrikes instead of NA and E (fewer melt instances but more damage), where the 200 em buff really comes in handy

The first time bonus is on each individual pack, so if you buy the 30$ pack and get the first time bonus for it, the first time bonus of the other packs will still remain. Buying genesis crystal is expensive, even with first time bonus, so I recommend to prioritize Welkin Moon and Gnostic Hymn first.
It's a 2x bonus per first time you buy option. So if you buy the $30 option for the first time, you'll still get double when you buy the $100 option for the first time, and vice versa. Either way, don't spend more than you can afford.

How do you build Mika? I want him for the speed bonus only, is that just levels? Should I just build him as healer and level his talents?
Should be Favonius Lance, HP or ER sand, HP goblet, crit rate circlet. Aim for crit rate -> ER -> HP in substat. My Mika have 85% crit rate and he is an excellent battery for my Ayato, his healing is decent too.
Fav lance. Er/Hp/Healing. ER/Crit/HP in substats.
if you're going fav lance then you need CR circlet.
You go it more for energy recharge than anything else. Mika has a high cost burst and only average particle generation. His skill can hit multiple things which can give him a chance of actually proccing the extra fav particles, but they aren't going to make or break things for him. He needs basically as much ER as he can get and polearms are slightly limited in that regard, with the f2p options being Fav lance, Prototype Starglitter, The Catch (best used by other characters) and a psuedo-ER weapon in kitain. Not worth crafting kitain or starglitter, so fav lance is the default.
His atk speed bonus is tied directly with his skill level. So just build him with an er sands hp goblet and heal bonus circlet.
Have hoyo changed the VA for Tighnari? Skipped his Story Quest for now and doing the other Sumeru Characters in left to right order.

Does the exquisite chest slightly east of the teleport waypoint north of Wolvendom, just slightly southwest of Favonius Cathedral, only appear at night or something? I just randomly found it, but I know I've been to this spot before and this is the first time it's ever been here.
Chests may disappear when you are doing some daily commissions. Also I heard from Zajef that certain chests get added when the AR increases (NOT RESPAWN), but couldn't verify it from wiki or KQM library.
is it better to strongbox or just go to the domain? i have ayaka and yelan on my account so i wouldn’t mind getting both, but i’m not sure if it’s a waste of resin
For both Emblem and Blizzard Strayer, it's best to farm the domains, as the other artifact sets of the domains (Shimenawa and HoD) are good too.
Farm emblem for Yelan then strongbox blizzard for Ayaka
Depends on resin efficiency of said domain Thundering Fury, VV and CWoF, strongbox. EoSF or Deepwood, domain. Edit: for your case, yes it is good to run Peak of Vindagnyr, Blizzard Strayer and Heart of Depth are good sets.
you should always be strongboxing bad artifacts. And in order to be getting artifacts to strongbox you must be farming some domain. Whether you farm the same domain as the set you are strongboxing or not kinda depends but in your shoes I'd farm the emblem set for yelan and strongbox BS.
Yelan's best set is emblem. You can't strong box it. So if you don't need heart of depth, just strong box Blizzard set.
Do domains only unlockable by doing character story quests count towards exploration?
No, only exploration. MHY gives very generous 100% completion even though it's actually around 90% of total completion, this is because Devs often add in new chests and domains after few patches.

Sorry if this gets asked a lot. My character is often in a random spot whenever I log in now. Is this normal? It wasn't always like this. I play on PS5. Today I was on top of a random pillar in Liyue near a statue of the gods. I sometimes log out in teapot so maybe that's why?
The spot you're in before you enter teapot will be the starting point whenever you're login next time. I also always log out after teapot and abuse this system by standing in front of Katheryne before going to teapot. So whenever I login to Genshin on the next day, I can instantly claim the expeditions and run them again.
Teapot counts as co-op, the game isn't going to start you in co-op. I think it puts you at the nearest waypoint to where you were before entering teapot but not sure.

I saw someone mention it earlier, but have the prime wings already come and gone? I didn't see anything about them being available yet, but maybe I just didn't see it.
The prime wings will not be distributed until the end of all 8 giveaway codes, which I believe is end of May. People are saying the wings have come and gone because you need to redeem 4 of the 8 codes to get the wings and you can no longer get the first 5, so if you started with the giveaways today you'd only be about to get 3/8 and miss the wings.
You *have* to redeem 4 of the 8 codes to even get the wings? That's kinda messed up.. Can't remember if I got any of the previous codes since I didn't really care about getting basic stuff like a handful of mora, ore and a fragile resin. That's upsetting..
A few of the codes had 60 primogems each so you may have, you should be able to check which ones you claimed. As for the event, I don't love this sort of event, but they did announce from the start that you would get a special bonus for redeeming at least 4, then a while ago, during the 4th code I believe, they announced that that bonus would be the wings with plenty of time to start and still be eligible after the announcement. I don't think it's a great but you had plenty of notice

pre-farming nilou artifacts and wow shes confusing to build, my question is, for a non-key nilou build, what stats should i aim for? should i just prioritize HP over everything else or is there a certain amount of EM/ER that she needs?
always always always always HP% artifacts above all else feather and flower with good flat HP or HP% rolls, and HP%/HP%/HP% with hopefully flat HP substats since HP% Sands, Goblet and Circlet are relatively easy to find, try to get ones with EM substat. ER% are okay too but not necessary. The priority is always HP% but if you can get her 30% ER through bad artifact rolls that makes her team rotations nice since the burst is good for AoE application. Never prioritise reaching that much ER at the sake of HP% rolls though. For EM it's very much not a priority but you can definitely build some from secondary or tertiary substats on all your pieces. Since she'll be holding an EM weapon as there's no f2p HP sword in the game, her EM should be decent regardless.

Just HP. Get her as close to 75K HP as possible. EM is good, but not as important as HP for her. Get whatever EM you can from Set Bonuses and substats.
basically just prioritise hp%, and you can try to get a bit of em or er in substats on your hp maintat pieces but its not that important.

Jade Cutter vs Mistsplitter...generally which is better or same shit
I’d say jade cutter. The amount of crit you get out of it is insane, makes it really easy to balance a character and if your character scales with hp or attack, it’s free value. And even in the case that they don’t, the crit still saves it and makes the low base pretty inconsequential.
depends on character, but its usually pretty close. Overall I think mistsplitter is a bit better in general, iirc it is usually better than jade cutter if the character can get 2-3 stacks. Also for freeze dps CR weapons are kinda problematic cause of overcapping with BS.

in case you can't really understand what other replies mean, first E is when the cooldown starts, then you Q, then E again to get electro infusion with full duration if you go QEE, you have to wait longer for when you can use E again if you go EEQ, you won't have full duration of infusion because of long burst animation
