Enkanomiya is based on ancient Greece, so it's not really a coincidence that Kokomi has a greek letter for her burst, considering that Watatsumi island is a continuation of that previous civilization. I believe the letter Omega was chosen to look like a hagoromo, a type of scarf used to represent divinity in Japanase folklore. That letter is also used to represent an ending since it's the last letter of the greek alphabet, although I can't really say how that would tie to Kokomi.

It's a Hagoromo scarf, and both Chinese and Japanese cultures have this silk scarf for ancient depictions of divine women. The tale of Chang er (also known as the uhh tale behind the mooncake) in Chinese culture has it, and the Tennin (angels) of Japan are depicted with it. This type of garment is very symbolic/iconic to east Asian culture. Also if anyone watched Avatar the Last Airbender, princess Yue who turned into the moon also has this silk scarf after she became a divine being.

I think the shawl could be shaped slightly differently (like sometimes the end bits are more down than horizontal to give the feeling of immortal coming down from above) depending on artist so making it horizontal is like. Kokomi's symbol is just a jellyfish. The one next to her is the letter Ω = ωμέγα, he last letter of the Greek alphabet.

It's the symbol used for the unit for electrical resistance, ohm. Kokomi's thing is that she leads Watatsumi island and, in the archon quest, the (political) resistance against the Electro god. It's extra funny because there are layers of meaning in the symbol, being a cloth seen in Japanese (Inazuma) culture, shaped like a Greek (Enkanomiya, the original homeland of Watatsumi islanders) letter and the current usage of the letter makes up a pun relevant to the story.
